We stayed here for a one week, Christmas vacation. I'll start with the pros PROS: 1) Friendly VALET and staff 2) LOCATION CONS: 1) ROACHES big and small 2) RUSTY furniture, bathrooms, showers.. (tetanus heaven) 3) RUNDOWN 4) RUNNING ONE ELEVATOR for the whole hotel Our initial room, right when we walked in, it smacked us with the smell of URINE and MOLDS. We bought lysol and anything to make the smell go away, it didn't. So we asked for a new room. The second room did not smell, but oh boy we were met with COCKROACHES. If it was just me it would have been fine but we had a toddler. I wish they could have done better with accommodation, but I guess that's the price we paid for. When we moved to our second room it was close to 10pm so we were trying to get everything moved with a toddler mind you. We had left a small bag with jewelry and we asked their lost and found and they apparently found nothing left in the room, which to me is not very honest as we looked though all our luggage and bags and could find it at all. Maybe when this places is renovated as per one of the workers, other customers will have a better experience. But for now, you get what you pay for.

It's probably pretty clear by now I'm an all or nothing kind of girl. Love it or hate it. I only take the time to sit down and write about it, if it's really good or really bad. This was really bad. The shower was cold, I'm not sure what that is on the ceiling, the air vent looked like it had been cleaned once back in the 90's and only some of the lights were working in the room. All of this, I could have overlooked. It's a three star hotel. You get what you pay for. What I cannot deal with, are rude people, and the staff here was remarkably rude... nasty even. And I live here! I can't imagine how they treat tourists. Eesh. I don't recommend staying here. Pay a little extra and stay elsewhere.

THERE ARE BED BUGS. DO NOT STAY HERE. My family friend (in her 60s) was just here this week and on her first night, she woke up to 3am covered in bites and bed bugs. She went down to the front desk immediately and all they could offer her was a phone number to call to speak to their customer service for a refund (which never happened!). If you check reviews on other sites for this property and search for "bed bugs", you'll see a plethora of reviews WITH images of massive bed bugs and blood covered sheets.

If I can give them a zero I would. This place is disgustingly gross. If you would like bed bugs go ahead and book this hotel in Waikiki. We checked in we didn't get the room we were booked for. Than got. Another room the smell was musky. Checked the pillows and there was bed bugs. We grabbed all our luggage and checked out and went elsewhere. Do not stay here. The manager MIKE Felipe would NOT refund our money. I called my travel agent and they spoke with Mike he stated that he gave us an alternative room which also have bed bugs! He clearly knows that hotel has bed bugs. Because he was more than willing to refund our valet and resort fee. He also said he can NOT refund us because we booked through our travel agent. When our travel agent stated that they are the ones that DO NOT WANT TO REFUND CUSTOMER.!! Bad customer service to its finest!!! We left immediately. Did not stay the one night since our flight had changed.

Overall, the location, kind concierge, and free coffee/tea is what saves this place. Otherwise, please put your money elsewhere.Setting: Right in the heart of Waikiki, the hotel is a 7 minute walk to the beach, and is right next to Marugame and Paia Fish Market. The pool is nice, but cold (stick to the beach for a dip).Parking: $45/night, PLEASE do not park here especially if you have an SUV. It is an incredibly narrow garage and many other travelers were struggling to park. Room: For 6 people, we were given 2 queens and then 1 full sized bed that did not match the booking description and did not fit our party. The room itself had peeling paint, a dingy smell, and a broken stove.

Please do not stay here. We are here currently and have booked another hotel because of how miserable this place is. There is no AC and they are not offering any info on when it will be functioning again. They bring you a fan that's dusty and extremely loud. The entire room is filled with mold. The beds are stained. You feel dirtier leaving the shower than when you got in. The smoke and carbon dioxide alarm is not functioning. There are other guests with children and pets here and I'm sure in 5 years we'll all be receiving settlements from illness we've caught from this "hotel". Please see attached photos for proof.

The areas around the property smelled like poop. Not sure what it was either dog or human poop it's smelled horrible. The room that we stay in was ok. The lamp shade between the beds were like falling off the lamp. It was quite frightening to see it or even to turn it on just incase electrocuted since we didn't turn on the lamp, the room looks dark. We never bothered to call the front desk because I was just too exhausted to deal with and hoping housekeeping will check out all the furniture. The parking garage is tight so make sure you don't have SUV when you stay in this hotel. The staffs were wonderful. Awesome people. The beds is springing when your bedmate moves the whole bed moves. Otherwise the area around the hotel is convenient.

First of all the front desk agents and valet agents were great! They showed Tons of ALOHA! However, the supervisor Mike Felipe, he had no personality, didn't smile not even once, and just didn't know how to interact with hotel guests. The keys to the rooms hardly ever worked, the doors were swollen and had to be slammed shut every single time. There was mold come from the vents, and in the bathroom on the ceiling was filled with mold. The outlets was too loose to even hold my phone charges or anything you wanted to plug in. The carpet smelt of mildew. Maid service did a half ass job on everything. Fixed our bed but didn't refill our towels.

I cannot stress enough how awful my experience was at Ohia Suites. From the moment we stepped into the room, it was clear that the place hadn't been properly maintained in a very long time. The room was run-down, with worn-out furniture that looked like it had seen better days. The walls had visible cracks and scuffs, and the paint was peeling in places. The overall atmosphere was depressing and drab--it felt like being in a place that was long forgotten, with no effort put into making it a welcoming space. It left my partner and I literally avoiding being at our hotel at all costs. The photos online were incredibly deceptive and made the place look much, much nicer than it actually is. I was shocked when we arrived because the reality was nothing like the glossy, well-lit pictures. It's clear the photos were taken years ago and don't reflect the current state of the property at all.The bedding and towels were the first sign that this place was not well kept. Both had noticeable stains on them, and it was completely unacceptable. The towels had visible marks and discoloration, making me question if they'd even been washed properly. The sheets and comforter on the bed didn't look much better, and I couldn't bring myself to feel comfortable sleeping on them. We ended up going to target and buying beddingThe floors were another major issue. It was obvious they hadn't been vacuumed or shampooed properly in quite some time. There were crumbs and dirt all over the room, and the carpet had a musty odor. The entire room gave off a feeling of neglect. As for the bathroom, it was even worse. The grout in the shower was stained and the tiles looked grimy. It was clear that this space hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in a while. To make matters worse, we found roaches in the bathroom, which was absolutely disgusting and made the situation feel unsafe. There was no way I felt comfortable using the bathroom with bugs crawling around. Because of this, we ended up checking out early and found accommodations elsewhere. On top of the terrible condition of the room and bathroom, the walls were paper-thin. We could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms, including the very loud and very clear sounds of our neighbors... making love. It was awkward and uncomfortable, and we couldn't get any peace or quiet during our stay.I would never stay at Ohia Suites again. Between the dirty, run-down room, the deceptive online photos, the roach infestation, and the disturbing lack of privacy, it was a truly unpleasant experience. This place is far from the relaxing escape you expect when you arrive in Hawaii.

VERY Dirty, run down, overpriced for what you get. Told we would be charged $400+ smoking fee yet have their staff smoking below the rooms filling the room with smoke.Furniture was stained and had some kind of red liquid splattered across the wall and chair. Not even an attempt was made to clean it. Air filter was plastered with dust and clearly hadn't been cleaned in months maybe even years. Valet attendants lighting off fireworks in the parking lot while we waited to check out of our 45 minute stay... which we were also REFUSED a REFUND for. Don't even consider booking here. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.
