Located in a local karaoke bar in the heart of Waimānalo town, this place is very unassuming. They serve good, local style Korean style comfort food. We ordered the meat Jun and bbq chicken which was as expected. They offer good banchan along with their plates, but it was their simple, local style Mac salad that took the prize for the best banchan. The service was quick and friendly; however, it was a little intimidating having to traverse through a bar to get your food. Once you get over the awkward walk to the register/counter, you'll be rewarded by the good food. Waimanalo has a limited number of food options, this is one not to be missed.

All these years I've passed them and never batted an eye. Years WASTED.Never even knew they served plate lunch/Korean food until I looked on Yelp (duh). Decided to come here on a Sunday and even though they the whole place decorated for a graduation party, they let us sit at the bar! Plenty of parking in the lot, but not sure if it can fill up at night, so plan accordingly.Atmosphere is basically a bar. Its enclosed and maybe on the "darker" side but it's a bar, what do you expect..Food was almost perfect. We ordered Kalbi + BBQ Chicken and Bulgogi + Spicy Pork plates. Kalbi: taste was delicious - perfect blend of salty, sweet, and tangy. The pieces were also very thick and although a little chewy, I actually welcomed chewing a lot because the meat was so damn marinated and so damn delicious. BBQ Chicken: a great staple dish. Cooked perfect and were nice thick pieces. Not dry and very tasty.Spicy Pork: thick pieces of pork belly. Marinated well and NOT THAT SPICY. It was spicy in more of the sense of taste, rather than spice (if that makes sense). Still was delicious and I enjoyed.Bulgogi: My favorite meat of them all. The taste was SOOO GOOD. And the pieces were not fat or thin (like most places). They used damn good beef and damn good marinade. I highly recommend the Bulgogi!I say "almost perfect" because their sides were, well, a little disappointing. Kimchi, choy sum, potato, and bean sprouts were alright. Maybe not the most authentic BUT I do think that's okay because the star of the show is the meat and we didn't come here for banchan - we came here for MEAT. OH - but I will say, harshly, their seaweed SUCKED. Way too much vinegar. That, I couldn't eat and I normally like vinegar. I think they need to add more sugar to tone down the sourness because it was straight-up vinegar in my mouth.Mandoo: although they look like smaller mandoo, they were STUFFED and stuffed with some good-a** filling. It was such a delicious side. Another recommendation.Prices were incredibly reasonable. Nowadays, you can't get a Korean plate lunch without paying like $20+. We got Kalbi + Chicken for $16.99 and the Spicy Pork + Bulgogi for $14.99 and got very well-sized plates. Not sure when I last saw a Kalbi plate lunch listed under $20... So this was a definite PLUS for us.Um yes, I'd come here again and so should you. Don't overlook them just because you're on your way to the beach. They got some ONO grindz and as I've said before, I'm ashamed I didn't come here earlier. Definitely will be back for their other Korean items and bulgogi, of course!

Don't let the outside fool you we almost drove away. This is a family friendly place to come and get original Hawaii BBQ. The prices are great the portions are big. Service was good too they checked up on us regularly and never had an empty cup of water. The food was great we tried the ribs, the chicken and the Bulgogi and all of them were great.

Awesome atmosphere and even better food for an actual karaoke bar!I've been here a few times in the past to enjoy the karaoke and a drink or three . . . . awesome casual bar, where the locals gather! The place is pretty much hopping, lively and a buzz with people and energy and the bartenders are super down to earth , knowledgeable, energetic and make mixed drinks strong! The food, no matter what you order is fantastic! Literally, everything and anything you order off of their seemingly small menu tastes AMAZING !Nowadays, I'm not much of a drinking patron but more of a "phone order and takeout" person this local karaoke bar is certainly a "diamond in the rough" that it deserves my personal 5-Shaka rating!

Only went to try their 5 star Bloody Mary and fell in love with the pupus as well! Ordered our bloody Mary's and an order of French fries that were hot, crispy and best of all only $6 for a full plate! We also ordered cold tofu with their Shoyu sauce 10/10, garlic soy beans 10/10, tempura mushrooms 12/12 and best of all their grilled steak with sautéed onions and mushrooms that was melt in your mouth ONO! A must try on your way through Waimanalo, best grinds and drinks with awesome service!!

Decided to try this place out since it was five minutes from our stay. Definitely glad we did!! Portions are great and not to mention prices were very affordable for Hawaiian dishes. Around ~10-18 for combo plates. I opted for the fish jun and he did the bbq chicken and meat jun. My favorite is all their plates come with vegetables!!!They have mini sizes as well. We also tried their mandoo soup which was not too salty and the dumplings were filled with meat! Their bartender was also our waiter, but was extremely attentive. He kept our drinks filled and came back several times to check on us. Overall, great food and great prices. We didn't stay for any late night festivities but looks like a chill spot in to drink!

Awesome place! Our family loves this place. Our entire family from the kids to the grandparents love coming here. We go during the off hours before the evening bar crowd comes in and enjoy games of pool and darts with delicious food and excellent service. It's a neighborhood gem!

My daughter picked up dinner for the family here last night. I had the Meat Juhn plate. Got 2 scoops of rice but it tasted old and some rice clumped together. They provided a 2oz container of sauce but it was salty, not your typical meat juhn sauce that's not salty but a little sweetened like you get at other Korean restaurants. The meat also had this after taste like it was recently defrosted, not fresh or chilled. And the scoop of macaroni had no flavor but at least it wasn't heavily mixed with mayonnaise. The best part of my meal was the sides: Ong Choy, Bean Sprouts and Kim Chee. And, the portion size was generous. For that, I'll give this restaurant a 2.0 basing it solely on the food quality. Would we eat their food again, probably. But not for a while. We have eaten there before and the food was always good. But last night's meal was just meh!
