If you're in the area, it's sooooo well worth a visit. The options are many and the food is phenomenal. Ambiance is very light and fun. Come with an appetite, portions are massive. My only regret is not being able to try each truck. Trydis was very good!!

Shopping and dining in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii...I really miss Ohana Hale Marketplace (formerly on Ward Avenue)... it had free parking and MANY merchants... and sometimes - there was live entertainment! The new Ohana Hale in Waikiki is bordered by Niu Street, Kalakaua Avenue, and Pa'u Street. The food trucks are located on the Niu Street side. The entrance to the two-story building is on Kalakaua Avenue. I found a free parking space on Pa'u Street! The manager, Chris, looked at where I parked and said that I was safe! LOL!We didn't get a chance to visit the food trucks outside. Inside, I did see the jewelry shop, pizza place, and beef jerky chip vendor downstairs. Waffle and Berry (açai bowls) is upstairs with a nice covered patio and cool breeze. (Hang onto your napkins!)There didn't seem to be any air conditioning downstairs. Some merchants had electric fans going. The elevator wasn't in service yet, so - be aware...There's potential to be better when more small businesses move in. My only obstacle would be parking in Waikiki...I need to return and look for the angel wings mural!

Not like the old one or at least not yet but should be a nice little shopping area. There were waffles and açaí bowls, a nice lanai with tables, jewelry shop and events. First time we went the bar was not open yet. The second time it was but options are somewhat limited. There is beer, wine and a few well brands. No specialty drinks menu. Pizza was great so I want to take my little pizza lover there. Outside had endless options for dinner with all the food trucks making it a great spot for groups or whenever you can't decide on what to eat. Our favorite was the smoke meats.

Ohana Hale has had a long history in Honolulu, having been recently on Ward. They recently took over the old Real World building on Kalakaua in Waikiki. Part food court, mall, and outdoor food truck roundup, it's a place for new and small businesses to have a physical space with other businesses nearby. It's a great place for families and groups that can't agree on what to eat - there's something for everyone. While the individual businesses come and go (even in the first few months, some have disappeared), there is a steady selection of choices. There aren't many negatives here, but it still doesn't seem fully realized. Lighting inside is dim and feels like it's under construction, even though some businesses have been there for months. Parking is minimal; this is really a place to walk to. Quality and prices also really vary from place to place, so be sure to check out individual reviews of ones you want to try.As of this writing, there are about half a dozen food trucks outside from Middle Eastern, poke bowls, acai bowls, steak plates, and garlic shrimp. There's also a coffee truck. The outdoor area has a bunch of picnic tables and umbrella tables, but the ground is still dirt and stones so it gets dirty especially after rain. It can also get very hot here, with the generators and trucks running so it feels more like takeaway is a better option.Inside the building is mostly empty. There's a curio stall to the left, public restrooms, a beef jerky stand, Joe's Boston Pizza, and a gem shop. Upstairs is the popular Waffle & Berry, which takes up half the space and part of the lanai - that's probably the best view here while you eat. It'll be interesting to see how this place changes in the future. With more investment in the grounds and building, it would be a must-visit shop for more affordable meal options in Waikiki.

Update- It was so exciting to have the food trucks when they first opened. Some even offered a Kama'aina discount. I live right across the street. They no longer do this and everything cost $15-$20+. I wish I could afford to eat from the trucks, but now I see that they mostly cater to the tourists and charge tourist prices. Not cool. I can only treat myself to my favorite falafel sandwich, every now and then. Everything else is way out of my price range.

About 8 different FOOD TRUCKS to choose from, VERY CLOSE TO WAIKIKI BEACH, and the best part of it all DELICIOUS FOOD!!I wasnt looking for food trucks, driving by it caught my attention because of how many trucks I saw. This place has to be a hidden gem because its not directly on the Waikiki strip. But if you can venture out- this place will not disappoint. Its a chill little area that has outdoor patio tables w/umbrellas. The service is all depending how busy the food truck you go to but for a Monday night it was not quiet. Coming here will give you an opportunity to try a little of Hawaii or simply calm your cravings.

Just opened, this is a combination food truck park and a gorgeous two story indoor mini-mall full of local businesses. The impressive indoor part has been vacant since Capital One Bank 360 Cafe closed in 2013, and before that it was a Local Motion flagship store. It's two stories of food and retail shops around an atrium. A large deck with open seating on the second floor has beautiful views of Fort Derussy Beach Park to one side, and the mountains on the other. The walk-in food park looks like what you might find in a little North Shore town: eight or so vendors arranged around a central courtyard of picnic tables on a paved lot under giant trees, selling fifteen different cuisines like Greek, Mexican, Jamaican, Filipino, cane juice, smoothies, and of course, island favorites. The West side of Waikiki really needed something like this, it was getting shaggy with few places to eat or hang out other than the two 7-Elevens. This brings some life and vitality. Perfect for locals to grab a meal, and also an inviting alternative for tourists who want some better, less expensive, and more real food while enjoying the island views.I don't know if they're going to call both of them Ohana Hale, but this is a new outpost for the much loved but short lived Ohana Hale in Kaka'ako, which is now a condominium complex. The vibe is much different here.

Visited the Taste Of Argentina food truck tonight and ordered the Argentine Asado Burger. The burger was supposed to come with chimichurri sauce and after walking back home I come to find out there's no sauce on the burger. I add my own sauce and after a few bites it starts to taste like seafood... I ask my partner to try and he agrees. I'm assuming my patty was cooked either directly next to the jumbo prawns they serve (we did not order them) or placed over the same spot after the prawns were taken off of the grill. Thankfully I don't have a seafood allergy but this could be potentially dangerous to someone who does. We got two other items from two different food trucks, all 3 trucks were very disappointing in taste and quality. One and done for us.

This sports bar was located near our hotel so we stopped in to check it out. They had big tvs all around, great sound, and fans! John the bartender was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed good conversation and he recommended some places for us to stop at later on for our trip. Thanks! Cheers from South Lake Tahoe
