As a PADI certified diver with 50 + dives under my belt, I have dealt with my share of dive shops and staff. I highly and unequivocally recommend Oahu Travel Divers. Not only will you get a good dive trip experience, but Ed O'Neil the owner and head dive instructor, is bar none the most helpful scuba instructor I've dealt with. He is patient and goes above and beyond what most instructors and provide in terms of personalized service. I've learned so much just from the few dive trips with him that I probably should have received from previous instructors. And he really knows his stuff regarding dive equipment and proper fit.

Ed is a fantastic dive instructor! My husband and I were certified but hadn't dove in 10 years. Ed arranged a great refresher dive for us walking us back through everything we needed to be safe and comfortable. We also had a great dive on top of feeling confident in our abilities again. We will definitely be diving with Ed again in the future!

Ed is wonderful to work with. He is generous and thoughtful. Before I buy, he gives great insight in to the product that is best suited for my needs. He goes as far as to allow me to try some of the products with him before I made a purchase. I've gotten quiet a few things from him. A shearwater teric, dive bags, deep 6 regs, and a variety of xdeep BCDs. I'm happy to work with ed in my diving and gear needs. Highly recommended.

I dive with Ed often. He is patient and knowledgeable, just what I am looking for in a dive master. He takes us to the best dive spots and is amazing at spotting both macro and micro marine life! Great dives at horseshoe reef and Sea Tiger today!

I had purchased my Shearwater Peregrine dive computer from Ed previously and have been wanting to dive with him. I did a 2-tank wreck/reef with him, and it was a great experience. His rental equipment is EXCELLENT, and he doesn't charge extra for Nitrox! We were able to get a 37min bottom time at Sea Tiger, which is way more than I've done previously with air and worse equipment. Will dive with him again!

Ed is an independent scuba instructor and guide, that charters dive boats for his students and customers. When I first moved to Oahu, I was in the habit of diving 3-6 days a week. So, I joined all the dive shop clubs and started on a journey of exploration to find my "tribe" of like-minded divers. It's been a few months now, and I can say that before I met Ed, I was extremely disappointed with the popular dive shops. More often than not, I was only getting 20 minutes or less in the water each dive (everyone comes up when the first person runs out of air). Additionally, I witnessed borderline "unsafe" practices and often found myself taking newer divers under my wing as their instructors neglected them. Needless to say, I was quite disheartened with the Oahu dive scene. Then I met Ed.He is a sweet older gentleman, with a plethora of knowledge and a very kind soul. Ed normally has 6 or fewer people on his trips. Many of which are like me, very experienced, and desire longer dives (with Ed I often have 60-80 minute dives).I've witnessed him instructing others, and he is very attentive, thorough, and patient. I love that Ed truly seems to want to help people become better divers. It shines through in everything he does.Ed offers Nitrox included and allows people to "try before you buy" any equipment he has access to (computers, masks, etc.)His knowledge about diving techniques, equipment, and marine life is paired with an unbreakable positive outlook. He works hard to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible.I highly recommend Ed and his company Oahu Travel Divers. Especially for your advanced and higher level training. But also, for those of us who just love to dive and want a safe place that accommodates experienced divers.Ed, you are pleasure to know and a joy to dive with!

Just had a 2 tank dive with Oahu Travel Divers. Ed is an amazing dive master and took very good care of us; from providing warm dive suits (I am always cold at the end of a dive, but not this time ), providing proper fitting masks, to making sure we were alright and enjoyed our dive. We look forward to diving with Oahu Travel Divers again; maybe next time with Avelo gear - that stuff is cool; check it out
