5-7-2020 updated review: 4 th and final deliveryFor the convenience of not having to leave your home, once your account is set up and you are put on a route, then it's an option to consider.Quality of produce varies- now that businesses will be opening up next week, timing was perfect. For myself, I'd choose fresh and unblemished produce. Percentage wise, 70% of the time the items were okay. The remaining items I'd personally would have not chosen the quality of some items I.e., wilted, slimy ends in plastic bag, blemished dings or scratches on items, nicks in skin of produce.For this last order the items were good.Unlike last week's driver, who rang the doorbell, different driver today never sent a final text or notification that produce had arrived. With this heat, lettuce would suffer. Be cautious. My four deliveries were a gift yet I received a message after my 3rd delivery that I owed $50+- unbelievable. Also was told someone put a hold on my delivery and did I want to activate up again. Seemed screwy,and undoubtedly alarming to me. I tried to keep calm and composed so that there wouldn't be a backlash on what was in my final bag.I'm glad someone surprised me with this as a gift.Gave me the chance to experience delivery to my front door. Rocky start but remaining 3 deliveries got better. Super glad I received regular sized tomatoes and head lettuce vs loose leaf for this ending delivery. Live and let learn.Note: you need to be a lover of veggies. My crisp bin still has some unused items from last week's delivery even though I cooked daily and incorporated veggies at least twice daily. I didn't want to see another carton of tiny tomatoes for a LONG time, honest!Thankyou my gift giver and mahalo to the person who bagged my produce today- awesome job today. Okay, all pau, literally, the end.

This service is great until it isn't. We've been receiving boxes for months. Last week, no box arrived. I've tried calling, texting, messaging through the website, and emailing. No reply. Nothing. We'll see what happens, but I'm pretty disappointed right now. We try hard to support local farmers, but this seems like some very poor customer service. Update: while the issue above was never resolved, I have not had an issue since. I really do like this service and think supporting local farmers is hugely important. So I edited my previous three star review to a four star. I wish they'd handled the above situation better, or at all. But one incident isn't enough to diminish what has otherwise been a great overall service.

Used the service once, and can't say it did that much for me. The meals come with nicely printed directions and all the ingredients in a box. But it wasn't the time saver that I thought it would be. None of the ingredients were prepped, so I still had to slice everything. The main time it save is recipe selection and shopping. The meals were hit and miss, the one stew was thin and brothy, the beef dish a little tough. But both tasted good.Not worth the high price in my opinion.

We've been using them for over a year, and enjoy receiving the salad greens, papayas, and bananas, some of our weekly household staples. We've been told that there are times when stores are out of papayas and bananas. So we feel lucky to get these staples. Sometimes we add extra produce or snacks to our order. This week we tried the vegetarian prepared meal. These chefs must have failed out of cooking school. Awful! The food reminded me of when some of my older relatives with dementia would cook with too much garlic.? Don't buy if you don't like lots of HOT spice and garlic!Don't buy the chocolate cake. It looks better than it tastes. Ours is destined for the landfill.

BEWARE of the lack of customer service. Once you subscribe, they do not provide service to cancel your subscription. I've tried calling, messaging through the website, and emailing. No reply. Nothing.I'm very disappointed right now. We support local farmers. We cannot support this company due to the lack of support, but quick to charge when service is no longer needed...which equates to very poor customer service.

We decided to start a farm fresh service, since the farmers markets were closed and we wanted to support the local farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband signed up for a weekly bag that he would pick up at Ala Moana on Saturday. The items in the bag depend on what is available, so you do not get a choice of what goes in the bag. It is $30 per each bag. There are about five or six items per bag. Bags have included onions, green onions, bok choy, small pineapple, sweet potatoes, small Thai watermelon, grape tomatoes, green beans and lettuce. You better like lettuce since every bag contains lettuce that is about half the bag!! Unfortunately you cannot choose the items in your bag, so you might end up with items that you don't like or want. In general most of the items looked reasonably fresh. The problem with the service is that there is no quality control. In our last bag, they were two onions and both were completely rotten. I can't imagine the person who put them in the bag didn't notice that they were rotten. There is no consistency when it comes to the quality of the produce. Also considering that the bag is pricey for what you get, so you would expect that all the items in the bag were of usable quality. Needless to say after getting some rotten items, we canceled our service.

An online farmer's market is just great and I do appreciate that an option is there to make my own selection. I am very thankful that this service is available and appreciate the effort that is made to feed those of us who prefer to not venture out too often during the COVID-19 crisis.The service is super; I have received very prompt and personable replies to my e-mails. Further, on the day of delivery, the carrier texted and phoned me, which was much appreciated. The bag of produce was still cold and nicely packaged and clean. I look forward to my next delivery and to see what other products will be available for the order after that.

Oahu Fresh is such a game changer!! It is the perfect way to support local farmers when all the markets are shut down. All of the produce I've received has been super fresh and delivered on time by an incredibly friendly team (shout-out to Lisa - our trusty delivery person!). The cucumbers especially are some of the tastiest I've ever had, but really all the produce is great. Since they have been scaling their operations, my order was missing an item or two, but the team was so quick to respond and credited my account for next weeks order. Their customer service team is really responsive and helpful! I also love how I can customize my delivery every week, and appreciate all the add-on options - like my favorite Ulu Manna Hummus or Waialua coffee. Every aspect of the experience with Oahu fresh has been amazing - highly recommend!

I have had something missing from my order from the last several months. Last time it was expensive local beef. Their customer service has unfortunately gone from good to horrible.I am having to cancel my credit card for fear they may scam me some more.They do not answer phone calls or emails anymore.I am going to find another company that provides excellent local produce and decent service BUYER BEWARE!!!!
