This AMAZING kid centered, super creative, art studio provides a fun and safe environment where children can explore their creativity while having fun doing it. They offer weekly classes as well as private parties. As a parent, one of the elements I enjoy the most is the break I get from having to think and plan a fun and creative activity to do with my son (almost 5y/o). They take care of EVERYTHING here and do it so well. I can just drop my son off and then come back to pick him up at the end of his class. I get to have my cake, and eat it too! Of course, my son absolutely loves it and I've noticed his confidence increase from working with the teachers here so we will continue to come back.Also, other parents may want to know they have nicely managed their COVID precautions (mask wearing, sanitizing, etc.) so it feels safe and clean. Seriously give it a shot and you'll see what I mean.

Love this new place for kids to express themselves and create ART it's located in the cozy and lush Manoa neighborhood ... right past Serg's Mexican food and before the Fire Station in the blue bldg on the left hand side. All the details about parties, classes, camps, after school classes, homeschool classes, etc are on their website.We were invited to a 10th Birthday party here and it was so nice ... they have a comfortable setting for the parents, activities planned for the kids, and in 2 hours plus the kids had a blast and went home with their creations ! Lunch and cake were able to be brought in and bathrooms right next to the room the two ladies running the place were so kind and creative! Definitely recommend checking Oahu Bright Lab out ... maybe we will see you there Aloha

My sister hosted a birthday party here for her 8 year old son, and it was a hit! We've hosted house parties before, and honestly, it's such a PAIN to clean before and after the party that I always wonder if it's worth the effort. At Oahu Bright Lab, there's no need to worry about messes, cleaning, or stress of entertaining a ton of kids yourself. Super sweet owner Dana met with my sister to plan the activities to fit the theme (Harry Potter) and then executed the activities, so it was a way less stressful and much more fun event for everyone!We were honesty a little nervous the morning of the party because Dana was super sick and unable to be at the party she planned - but she sent over TWO of her sweet and bubbly sisters to take her place! They were awesome! They're totally down to earth and enthusiastic even with ten+ kids trying to get their attention! Having them and the other assistant assist the kids with the activities allowed all adults to relax and enjoy ourselves at the party - so appreciated and priceless! There were 3 great activities: - make a harry potter wand by painting it with vibrant colors and then decorating it with fancy jewels - create a potion to drink with unusual ingredients (like dragon eyes!) - making beautiful slime with neat add ons like glitter and confettiAlso, there were large creative toys for the children to express themselves with, including a huge banner that had the birthday boy's name on it to decorate with paint; a huge wooden cake to decorate with paint; and a play house. Needless to say, it was hard to tear the kids away from the fun when it was time to leave!The area was nice, clean, and cool, with lots of free parking available. It's also conveniently located near Manoa Marketplace, so we were able to get last minute food items from Safeway and sushi across the street. Mostly, I love that the party was so personalized (definitely created with the guest on honor in mind and not the same activities for every party that they host!) - this made birthday boy Daniel feel so loved and special. Plus, the price was super reasonable. This is an extremely recommended party location!

Under normal circumstances, planning a kid's birthday party is about appealing to me as a swift poke in the eye. But now that my first born is getting older, I figured it was time to suck it up & let her have her first "real" birthday party with her school friends since she was turning 9. Enter Dana. She is your magical, artistic, creative, fun party planning fairy aka the owner of Oahu Bright Lab. I told her that my daughter is obsessed with unicorns & she immediately came up with a bunch of ideas to choose from (painting a unicorn cake, sewing a purse charm, painting a wall hanging). We decided to go with the last option. I also mentioned that my daughter loves slime & she said we could do a slime-making activity as well. The party was an absolute success! Upon arrival, the guests got to help color a hand drawn banner with my daughter's name, as well as paint a blank "cake". Dana then discussed abstract painting & gave the girls a chance to practice painting on paper before painting their wooden unicorns. Who needs paint brushes when you have q-tips, squares of bubble wrap, rollers & sponge-tipped tools? The girls were encouraged to be as messy & creative as they wanted to be (my four year old was living her best life because splattering paint is definitely not allowed at home). After that they washed up & had a snack; we brought spam musubis, chips & juice. Then the girls moved on the making slime, which seemed to be everyone's favorite part. Dana provided assorted glitter & little clay flower slices to add to the slime to make it extra special. We then sang happy birthday, ate cupcakes & it was time for everyone to go home. Whew! Dana & her assistant made everything so easy & the party ran like a well-oiled machine. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Oahu Bright Lab!Other info:-Oahu Bright Lab can accommodate 12 kiddos, birthday boy/girl included. -Dana will give you directions to their back parking lot, which can be accessed from Anuenue St which makes drop off/pick up easy for parents. Make sure to include the info on your invitations. -They do not have a fridge so bring food/snacks that doesn't need to be refrigerated.

We had my daughter's 4th birthday party at Oahu Bright Lab, and it was such a hit! Dana worked around my daughter's desire to have a monster party and designed a unique printing and collaging activity that turned my daughter and her friends into little Picassos! Dana also put special touches all over the room to fit the theme and she even made a personalized banner and cake for the kids to decorate. There was enough parking for all guests, ample space for everyone in the studio, and zero stress. The price is more than reasonable and the staff kept things going smoothly and positively. There seriously wasn't a dull moment! Before everyone left we made slime and the kids lost their minds because they were so happy and excited. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend having a party at Oahu Bright Lab.

We had my son's 5th birthday party here. It's a cozy space - we fit about a dozen kids in there plus some adults. Dana planned out several activities for the kids. There was a banner for them to paint/draw on, a cake they could decorate, and there was an activity where the kids made their own cardboard figure and decorated it. There was also a sensory station for the kids at the end. Dana had a couple of folks helping her out too, and everything was planned out just right. (Kids were starting to get a little rowdy at the end, which is totally understandable)It's a nice clean place with lots of art and activities for kids. Check it out!
