Nuuanu Shopping Plaza

Shopping and dining in Nu'uanu, Honolulu, Hawaii...Located on the corner of Nu'uanu Avenue and School Street is Nu'uanu Shopping Plaza. Back in the day, Chun Hoon Market used to be here on the School Street end, then Hungry Lion Restaurant, and now it's a popular Starbucks. There used to be a Walgreens on the Nu'uanu Avenue side... soon, it will be O'Reilly's Auto Parts.In-between, there's a Supercuts, Paradise Poke, Territorial Savings, and Shinsho Tei (restaurant and bar).It's a convenient place for residents who live nearby!Note: if you need a restroom, get a key from the business that you're patronizing. The restroom is in the corner by the mailboxes and security office.

Located on the corner of School St and Nuuanu Ave, there aren't much in this area compared to many years ago. Now there are just a several small stores. In the past there was Radio Shack in the big building. Then after it closed Walgreens appeared. Now that is gone and currently no store in that big building.

Small shopping center located on the corner of Nuuanu and S. School St. Not much shops here. The biggest draw would be Walgreens. The surrounding location does have eateries along the outskirts of the shopping center. The center is well maintained and very clean. This has to be one of the most well kept parking lots I have seen. It could be due to the lack of car and foot traffic because there aren't many shops here. Shinsho Tei is a great place to grab a few drinks, grub and get your karaoke on as well. Another draw is Territorial Savings bank is here. Though it isn't my financial institution you are able to withdrawal much more than the usual ATM. My daily max withdrawal is $400 and I was able to take that amount in one transaction...AWESOME! More shops would do this place a lot of good, yet it's a peaceful shopping experience without all the crowds or long lines. That's always a plus in my book!1/100 yelp review challenge 2016
