Nice view and was looking forward to trying this place. The experience started going to the bathroom & was surprised by a lady in there (no sign). She screamed "dumb ass mother fuka!!" Delightful. Apparently she works at the golf course. Really charming. Then for the food I ordered summer rolls, then when spring rolls appeared, was told that's what I ordered.... Lovely lovely.

Three stars only because the servuce and food was just fine. Not great not poor just fine. No where to sit as they use their one table for storing random things and they said we could sit in the country club lobby but it's not a dining space so we basically sat while the front desk lady worked but it was awkward because it wasn't part do the restaurant. No or poor ac made it hot and at no time did anyone check on us after we got our meal which was served in to go containers even though we were eating there. Food tastes ok. Pretty bland even though we said medium spice and just no depth of flavor. I won't go back

I've been meaning to check out this place for quite some time and based on the reviews, was excited to finally make it there. The service and prices were great, but unfortunately the food was underwhelming. We had the spring rolls, Larb Muu, Phad See-Ew, and something else. The cashew chicken (which I was hoping to get) is no longer available. Nevertheless, none of the dishes we had reminded me of Thai food as I know it, and while the portions were generous the larb muu was rather oily the veggies in all the dishes were sparse.IMO, the food is 2-stars at best, but 5-stars for service and price

Good service and friendly lady. The food however was just gross. The spring rolls pictured on the menu was supposed to come with lettuce, mint, carrots, and other vegetables to enjoy the rolls like a meal - but I was shocked. I got 4 very tiny, soggy rolls that was served over shredded white and purple cabbage for $9. There was no meat, mushrooms or other vegetables in the filling. Just plain rice noodles. The sauce was straight Mae Ploy sweet and sour sauce from the bottle, nothing special. They charged $9 for a spring roll wrapper and rice noodles. Each tiny roll for $2.50.... such a rip off. Traditional Pad See Ew is supposed to be thick flat rice noodles similar to chow funn noodles. I was given Pad Thai noodles instead. She probably ran out of the right kind noodles but she didn't tell me, and instead just slid it in my take out order like I wouldn't notice. I didn't appreciate being deceived. The dish was so bland and tasteless for $10. I eat anything but I couldn't eat more than a few bites of this. It was truly inedible. I ended up throwing the whole thing away. I also ordered the grappow muu with ground pork. It was too sweet. Too much sugar. It was 60% thick cut chopped red onions and stalks of green onions mixed with ground pork. It was SO much onions it should have been called grappow onions. Please don't laugh, I'm serious. This dish was just onions and sugar with some ground pork. It was topped with a burned fried egg when in the menu it was supposed to be served with green beans. I even showed the worker the picture on my phone and asked her if I could have this dish. I didn't want the egg and it's not even pictured on the menu. I ended tipping 15% ($5.00) for my take out due to the pandemic. I was trying to show my appreciation for her hard work, but I was highly disappointed. Had I opened the boxes to see that the noodles for my Pad Sie Ew were the wrong noodles and the spring rolls were served over shredded cabbage and the grappow muu was all onions and a burnt egg I would not have tipped at all. And this was all before tasting the food which was inedible. This place is out of the way on Kunia Road and I made a special trip to come here. The food is not good if you know Thai food. I definitely do not recommend coming here. Do not waste your time nor your hard earned money at this place.

Thai Contestant #7-Look to the Northwest, There You Will Find Comfort and AidWhen traveling to the North Shore of Hawaii, EVERYONE goes to the right or northeast because of all the magazines and brochures that steer them to the tourist traps. If you go left or Northwest towards Wailua, however, you'll find this Food Truck gem hidden near the Sugar Mill just in front of the Library, and untainted and uncorrupted. I deemed this place as a frontrunner after just one visit and 4 stars. I just had to try it one more time to confirm it wasnt a fluke!I get there just after lunch, and theres only one other guy ordering, he looked like a Navy Seal. You know that look and smile people give you when they are silently giving you a nod of approval and you don't even have to say anything? We exchanged that look, as if we just know this is just one of those special places that doesnt need to be said. This time I ordered the rice again to compare with those other "tainted" places, and an order of her spring rolls. She smiled at me and told me she makes it fresh everyday and to let her know what I thought! Well if you are reading, they were special and amazing. They were neatly made and cooked, fresh, crunchy, and delish! Clean frying oil ty!I scan the menu for calamari because its the 2 common items that im trying to compare and for a constant unit measurement with all the other Thai places Im reviewing, why? Well Im glad you asked! #1 The Rice is a good guage of a locations use of ingredients. Are they using leftovers or old stuff thrown together, or is it fresh?#2 Calamari. The calamari test gives me another good idea of how well a location fresh items like seafood is. Is it frozen, pre battered, or pre cooked? And is the frying oil clean. With the Calamari, I can gobble 3 ston....er 3 legs in one!#3 With those two tests I can then decide whether its worth to revisit and maneuver to other items on the menu for round 2!No Calamari but the spring rolls and rice passed with flying colors! I love how she puts heaping amount of veggies too! When I asked if she had calamari she was confused and could barely understand what I was asking for. We went back and forth for a few minutes as I tried to explain what calamari was..Then to my surprise...she busted out the google translator LOL. Phlaamukkk!. She said confidently! Then she says, "Why didn't I just say Squid!". Lol. Learn something new everyday! WE both laughed. Phlamuk I'll be back! Shes the real deal yo!Status: A Wild Card, Round 2 Frontrunner

I would regularly pass Nui's food truck on North Shore with my boyfriend, and one day we finally tried it, and Nui did not disappoint. I wish I could give this place six stars for its amazing food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Thai food is on the top of my list, and I have (almost) tried it all. This place is comparable to the Thai food I have had on the streets of Bangkok. Everything is so fresh, which is surprising for the prices and considering that I'm eating at a food truck. Nui's food is awesome, and so is Nui. My boyfriend and I do not eat meat, and Nui is always able to accommodate for us, and is so friendly in doing so. Last time we went, she gave us a plate full of rice, and offered us more. I felt like I was eating dinner at my grandmas!I never leave reviews, but this place seriously needs some recognition. All my tourist friends want to go to the mainstream eateries in town, that charge twice as much as Nui, when Nui has quality food. Again, I would give this place 6 stars. Everyone needs to try it when on NS. I make special trips from Honolulu to eat here, so seriously check it out! Be careful of the hours though!

My favorite food is Thai Chicken Fried rice and I've been meaning to try this place for a while. Finally went today for lunch before work and I love it! The portioning vs pricing ratio is great, flavor is fantastic, and there are so many added toppings. This is definitely top 3 on the island for me now, will be coming back! Customer service was great as well, the lady that greeted and served me was very friendly!
