If you thought the Hawaiian missile scare was terrifying then you'll really be frightened of this HOA. Ole Robbie here doesn't like to give bad reviews but this is well deserved. No one likes to be lied to right? These jokers alleged to have dropped off flyers regarding termite treatment. They did not. No one got them. Then they tried to blame it on all the owners. Lazy lazy up at the zippys probably eating pupus instead of working. Spending your money. Now I like the grounds keepers, nothing against them. But do you really need to have them leaf blowing 6 days a week? How about spending the money on a little more useful projects?Security guys, nice guys but really don't have enough. It's gotten shady though. HOA members play favorites and let people get away with double parking, parking in guest spots, or allowing some to work on their vehicles while on blocks. For sure picking favorites. Ask yourself..is this a place you want to live only to toss a ridiculous amount of money on? Hear loud neighbors all the time, no guarantee of mutual respect? I sure wouldn't..

We've owned our unit since 1974. Picked out the lot before they even built it. We had no issues up until they hired touchstone. I asked Jenny why are we paying her salary when we already hired touchstone. Little did we know how horrific touchstone would be. We lived in another apartment complex that had touchstone and we already knew how absolutely horrendous they were. We will be getting a petition started to get these guys out of there. Maintenance fees have gone up yet nothing is being done and it's downgraded so bad. They're supposed to be painting the units every 10 years and it hasn't been painted in over 20.

My mother is an original owner who has lived here for 44 years- the management here is not nearly as competent as they were in the past: The phone is never answered- there never seems to be anyone in the officeMaintenance is terrible- for the $$ paid the grounds are overgrown, parking lots are strewn w/rubbish and plant matter- there are stretches of days when a green shirt is never seen. I was told they do not work when the weather is bad- have they heard of raincoats?There used to be a newsletter informing residents of issues/projects in the complex- havent seen one in yearsWhat happened to termite checks?-For the $$ the "Association" collects for maintenance I dont see much- I urge residents of Nob Hill to attend the next meeting- whenever that is.

I strongly agree with Sprooillin F. with the conditions is Nob Hill. My family are the 2nd home owners since we moved there in 1989. It was ALWAYS well kept and the landscape trimmed and tight! After Akahi Services was no longer contracted to do the maintenance, it started to look like a hot mess real fast. Leaves and pods from the trees all over the private road ways and parking lots. Everything is so overgrown. The parking and road way surfaces are way overdue for a new one. There are so many cracks that weeds have bean growing up through them all! This management team is NOT taking care of their residents and their place that they call home. At night, the parking lot areas are so dark! It's hard to see your footing so if someone fell and got hurt, I wouldn't be surprised if they would press charges. The guest's parking should be for exactly that, not residents of Nob Hill and do away with the decals to park in the guests parking. Parking in guest's stalls should be limited by time from 1am to 6am to prevent overnight parking. It'll minimize liability to Nob Hill, if there's an incident with guest's vehicles. I hope management sees this and take action ASAP. I'll be going to MTA as well to voice my observations of where my Mom still resides paying a high maintenance fee for no service, no maintenance and little to no security.

Run Down and hitting bottom now. No reasoning behind actions taken by Management/Board of Directors. I've discovered you can't submit a review without giving at least one star; but this place no longer deserves even one star because of their ideology to destroy all owner-cared-for healthy vegetation and then leave weeds, nuisance vines and overgrown grasses in abundance. For those owners who received permission and approval to plant and for helping to maintain and clear their investment by pulling weeds in an area around their building, The Board instead send the ignorant landscapers to spread weeds and cut the good grass to less than an inch high so both bare roots and dirt is clearly visible. And for all of the effort an owner puts forth, there is no thanks given by the current Board of Directors or managing offices which obviously can't see the advantage of having a community which wants to maintain the value of the property. I specifically said I would spend my own time to pull out the weeds. Why? Because Akahi refused to pull out any weeds but would cut and spread more seeds around. So what was the sense of asking them to stop making the place look worse with three to four foot grasses growing randomly. Never mind getting rid of the ugly weeds, kill the fruit trees and flowering trees instead. Where's that coconut tree on the corner? And by the way, if you have Kalo, Papaya, or Kabocha growing in a large heap of wood chips which were thrown in a pile on a back hillside. Which then was left to smell of mold and composting blowing 24/7 for months into the immediate units with nothing done by stated management to remove or distribute it despite complaints. Be prepared to have the Akahi workers steal the fruits of your labors when you've spent months tending to, caring for and growing your Kalo, Papaya etc. Bastards stole everything semi ripe. This is why there will never be a sustainable society in Hawaii, because if idiots aren't chopping down beneficial greenery, then they are stealing it for themselves without a thought to who else was taking care and tending to the plants. Totally disgusted with Nob Hill.

I've lived in this complex for over 10 years now. My son is now growing up in the same complex as I did. Love the area & location! But my neighbors now, are rediculous. They own 4-5 vehicles (on both sides of me & then one over) for each house hold. They literally exchange cars everyday into the guest spots. My house has one parking space & my mom & i both have our own cars. It's rediculous on how we have to park on a side street, 15 minutes walk away, due to my neighbors being greedy. I've also been towed for now reason! My car wasn't in the red & had a pass.

I wouldn't give you a star but I had to just in order to post this review! I agree with other reviews...pay monthly maintenance dues that keep going up every year for what?!? Security sucks around here. Don't even respond to your call in a timely manner, weird people coming around snooping late at night looking at cars. I've seen the after math of vehicle breakins! My bf chased couple young punks who was trying to rob houses!!! Neighbors mentioned they had unwanted people in their back yards! Weird people lurking at the playgrounds where the kids should feel comfortable playing around and feeling safe!! I don't even feel safe letting my kids play outside! Maintenance workers only clean/cut the grass areas where they want to. Leave the cut grass where it is! Takes months for stuff to get done around here!! AND the worst part of it all is I had a very bad situation with them regarding their plumber (Alpha Plumbing Repair Service) who charged me for a 12 min conversation which was not made aware of to me. Supposedly association discussed/reviewed in a board meeting without my presence, and I received a letter saying "it is a standard charge, and it is time and a half because it is a weekend and after hours" I'm responsible to pay! Of course I yelled in frustration and anger regarding this letter, but they had nothing more to say except for repeating what's already stated in the letter (which I was made aware of because I can read it myself!!! Come on, tell me something I don't know...such as why was I NOT made aware of any charges!!!) I'm the one paying for it! As a resident and consumer it would be nice to know ahead of any conversation that I will be financially responsible for a 12 mom conversation which includes the plumber calling me back just because he could NOT sleep!!!! Not my dang problem!!! Trust I will be coming to the next board meeting and I will take this situation higher! Like I said, this association is a really bad experience for me!!! And I wish I did more research before moving to this hell hole!!!

Terrible guest parking rules. Residents hog 2 reserved stalls and move their vehicle right before the security guard arrives. I've lived here for 2 years and I'm looking forward to moving out!

As a home owner on this place; 3 years ago I gave this place a 1 star. Today I wish I could take it back and give the " garbage of management" a ZERO star rating, they have ZERO customer service experience, training or willingness to help. A DOBLE ZERO star goes to the USLESS "board of directors" and "president" just worthless. The landscape service is a disgrace, not for lack of effort from the workers whom are very nice people. It's just that they are not trained or qualified for the job. They are just plant choppers. The $540.00 dollars for HOA every month are not worth at all
