Hm...this restaurant has ramen in its name, but I'm confused why after trying out their ramen.Located in the same plaza as Safeway and Long's Drugs. I love ramen so was hyped to see a ramen shop here.Seafood Ramen | $14.50Ramen with shrimps, scallop, squid, and vegetables. This dish came with 3 shrimps, 2 tiny scallops, and a few curls of squid. The shrimp was good, the scallops were small and rubbery, and the squid was very chewy. Veggies were chopped up pieces of a long leafy vegetable and carrots. All of the inclusions were immersed in a thick cornstarch-y gravy on top of the ramen. The noodles were soggy and overcooked. They didn't seem like ramen noodles - more like a Chinese style egg noodle gravy dish. There was a separate container of soup, but that soup was salt heaven. So so incredibly salty I couldn't fathom pouring it into my "ramen". Portion was also on the smaller side, so not the best if you're hungry looking to get full on one entree.Overall this is not a good Japanese ramen shop. The food seems more like Chinese-Hawaiian style cooking. Make sure to come with the right expectations if you do stop by here. Unfortunately I would not come here again for any type of ramen.

Good place to go in a pinch. Near safeway, so choke parking. Not high quality food, but good enough. They aren't friendly, but are always polite. I don't like going to places that I come out smelling like cooking oil though. So that's probably the worst part of it. Always more than enough food for me, but not quite enough for my hubs. This past time I ordered for Ma the Katsu, Fried Rice, Gyoza Combo. She liked it. And she had enough for another meal.Hubs outa town so I had to over order so I wouldn't have to worry about next couple meals. Got the Ramen, Fried Rice, Gyoza Combo. Ramen okay...nothing special. Little heavy on the salt. Rice tasty but a little oily. Or maybe the gyoza oily? Or just both? Either way, it was oily for my taste. Also ordered 2 orders wings since only 4 in 1 order. They aren't very good. Cooked well, but a little on the sweet side and other than that, not much taste. Won't get those again. Ate 2 wings with my ramen for 1 meal, rice and gyoza for another, and then wings for another. So 3 meals. Total I spent about $45. For the amount of meals I made of it, that's good...

Your typical ramen and combos but quality is just okay and portion is far less. I usually go to Daichi or Ramenya for the same price but better value.

Really not a bad place. The reviews that are on here seem a little harsh. I liked the food for the most part a little heavy on the MSG but most Asian foods are like that. Price was fair and I have gone back several times.

Let me just say that the food was less than mediocre. Ordered the Curry Ramen set and it had no taste. Meaning you could not taste the curry! Asked that they put more and still not enough. Kim Chee fried rice really had no Kim Chee and was extremely bland. Chicken katsu curry, no taste at all. This was an overall disappointing experience. I hope they get better. We spent around $80 bucks and there was still a significant portion of our food left. It was one of the most memorable bad places I will remember for a while....

Always get the house fried rice for breakfast to go. It's the same and good every time. Have never eaten in the restaurant, but I call ahead to order and it is always prepared on time.

I had a craving for fried rice and got recommended from a friend to try this place. There are a lot of different things to choose from but I found my perfect meal. The Combo C which includes mini fried rice, chicken katsu, and gyoza (only 11.99). I also got a miso soup on the side. I was really impressed by the amount of food you get for such a low price. There was a lot of chicken katsu with four pieces of gyoza all on a bed of fried rice. The miso soup was even bigger than I expected -- and super hot so be careful! Everything was yummy, especially their fried rice!I went for an early dinner so there was no one else inside. I quickly scanned the menu and ordered my food. I swear less than 10 minutes later my food was ready! Parking was also easy to find. It's located in Manoa Marketplace so there is plentiful parking. I actually found a stall right in front which was super convenient. I will definitely come back here for more of my fried rice cravings.

We used to come here all the time when the kid went to the neighborhood school and he participated in community sports at the Manoa Valley District Park. We come so often that he knows his usual is Combo Set A (mini ramen + mini fried rice + gyoza). For me, I know their fried rice (regular char siu fried and shrimp fried rice) are consistent in taste and quality. It has a nice slightly wok-charred flavor. Their gyoza is house-made and really tasty. The proportion of filling to skin may not be as generous as some places but it's actually a good size-- not too big, not too small. I think their chicken katsu and chicken katsu curry are pretty good too, but they're better when you eat in. During the pandemic they've accommodated my request a couple of times to use my takeout bentos. (Because they use flimsy clamshell-type plastic containers that don't close.)It's a neighborhood eatery with reasonable prices for their portions. For these reasons, don't expect fine dining service or ambience.

First and probably last time. Service was great - very nice and friendly. Food was awful. Ordered the "H" combo of gyoza, mini ramen and chicken katsu curry. Gyoza was obviously not homemade; mini ramen was supposed to be spicy - broth tasted like chicken broth; chicken katsu was fair. Too bad cuz I'd like to support small business but if the foods not good, I can't justify paying $16.

Great option after tennis in Manoa! One of few restaurants open until 9 in the area. Very extensive menu I had trouble picking just one thing for dinner! Always a sucker for a deal, I went with the daily special which was chicken katsu curry rice and gyoza. I always go for curry, and the special came with 4 free gyoza. The service was fast and friendly and the food was hot and fresh. Very generous portion of chicken katsu and rice with the curry sauce on the side. The gyoza sauce was a bit bland (tasted like almost pure shoyu) as well as the curry (I wanted more flavor), but the chicken katsu was crispy and fresh. I would def go back to try more items since they have a mapo eggplant rice that looked good.
