Salmon poke ohh-wee so yummy *12/4/22
A'u Poke | Marlin fish. Lean, but tender. Fresh as hell.

Salmon Poke. Sesame oil coated, it's a fresh fatty fish, which is more tender and squishy. Highly recommend this.

If you love a poke bowl with a good fish to rice ratio, this is the place for you! Nico's Fish Market is next door to Nico's Pier 38 restaurant and honestly, half the time I end up detouring and coming in here instead because I can never turn down a good poke bowl. There's all kinds of goodies and deals in this spot and I wish I started coming here much earlier! The poke counter is in the back of the market and you can either order poke by itself or as a poke bowl. Poke bowl costs around $17 and you can pick up to three choices to have in your bowl. There's a variety of fish including ahi, salmon, au, scallop, and tako. I chose shoyu ahi, spicy ahi, and spicy scallops for my poke bowl. The fish was fresh and the flavor was great! Also, I need to give a shout out to the fantastic people who work the poke counter because they're always so nice and cheerful! There's also a little area on the counter with free toppings you can add to your bowl including Furikake, sesame seeds, fried garlic, and kabayaki sauce. They also have a variety of grab and go items such as sushi and desserts, as well as a place where you can buy fish by the fillet. So far I've purchased both ono and ahi belly to cook with while here and it's my favorite place to get quality fish on sale. There's a large parking lot outside the market and I've never had issues with parking. Location is great, right on the ocean near Costco. You can also grab your poke bowl and head next door to Nico's Pier 38 if you want to eat your food there instead. It's spacious, and there's also a nice view of the water. If you have friends visiting from off-island and want to take them somewhere with a solid poke bowl, I would highly recommend this place.

So I ate already, but I had to expand my stomach more to accommodate some poke. How do you expand your stomach? Will power. THE FOOD ELABORATION. - A'u Poke | Marlin fish. Lean, but tender. Fresh as hell. - Salmon Poke | Sesame oil is always a welcomed sight (and flavor). It's a fatty fish, which is more tender and of course, fresh as well. Highly recommend this. THE VIBE EVOCATION. It's a small market with its own entrance, but has a connecting door with Nico's Pier 38 too. They do sell other things such as snacks, souvenirs, and hot food items. THE PARKING AFFAIR.Free parking is adjacent to the fish market. The area is a gravel/dirt lot. I'm sure there are other areas to park, but found this to be closest to the entrance. THE RETURN QUANDARY. I'd come back for more poke!

The poke is delicious. The fish is fresh. I recommend to try it out. My go to poke is wasabi and spicy. You have your choice of white or brown rice. You can make your poke bowl 1-2-3 choices and also put topping. The service there is awesome. The lady apologizes to us because we was waiting but we were just deciding what to pick. Nice local people work here. Great customer services. The ambiance - great. Once you walk in you see the drinks - than the poke choices. They sell Nico's products. They also sell other stuff. Like oysters and scallops to eat with your poke bowl. Once you order your poke bowl - there's a lady ready and you can make your food. Overall experience is great. Great place to buy fresh poke bowl

I'm happy I found a new poke spot and definitely will be coming back! They are located by the harbor so the fish is for sure fresh. I had their poke bowl which you could choose up to THREE poke selections for $16 which is a really good deal!!! They are very generous with the amount of poke that they pack on. They have a good variety to choose from and I had the spicy ahi, spicy scallop, and shoyu ahi. All were very flavorful and fresh! Condiments (furikake, garlic, unagi sauce, shoyu, green onions, sesame seeds, etc...) are also available on the side that you can add on your own without extra charge. There's a lot of seating inside and outside and occasionally has live music. If you're not feeling raw fish, then Nico's Pier is also right next door so you have more cooked/hot meal options.

Stumbled upon this spot while we were visiting base. We wanted something more local and this did not disappoint. We both got the surf and turf and a side of mac salad. Loved how they had all of the poke options at the counter. The fish was super fresh and flavorful and the pork was so good too. Loved the macaroni salad, I can never pass it up and this was super creamy. It's pretty small inside with some searing outside the restaurant so we just went and sat in the food court adjacent to the place.

Decently priced, super fresh poke bowls! We got the 2 choice poke with rice bowls. We tried the salmon/ahi mix, salmon, and spicy tuna pokes and were happy with all of our choices! You can choose white or brown rice. After your bowl is made you can add your own toppings by the register! There are at least 6 types of toppings, plus unagi sauce. There were also various dried seafood samples you can try. This is definitely a great choice for poke to go.

We got the Shoyu salmon and Ahi Tuna and they were amazing. The salmon was so well seasoned with the sesame oil and the shoyu sauce. Each bite of the salmon was literally heaven. The ahi tuna was fresh but a little bland. Use the sauce from the salmon on the tuna and it will be perfect. We also got the Mac salad which was a little heavy but was tasty. Highly recommend checking out this spot! Lots of parking even during peak times. We came here twice because it was just that good! Service was fast and this spot is located with plenty of parking. Highly recommend them.

One of the freshest poke I've ever had. Open seating. The poke display fridge wasn't obvious when first walk it tho. Would go back again for the food.
