Took a month to alter a boy's tux, and got the pants back uneven. They fixed it while I waited.

I am here all the time. Whether it's because the Navy has once again changed their uniforms and we have to shell out $500 for new digies, or because we're having to go to an event and need dry cleaning done, or because we're both giants and need everything tailored, this place is like a second home to us on base. It's really a one stop shop. They have a food court with questionable freshness but a lot of selection, a small but mighty mini nex, a full uniform shop with tailoring and dry cleaning, and an activities center for all your adventurous needs. I love how friendly everyone is behind the counter. Especially in the uniform/tailoring/cleaning area, those ladies are fun, social, and really helpful. This store really makes something that could be otherwise painfully tedious into something that I don't mind wrapping into my busy day. Lots of ample parking, this is a way easier place to do errands so you can steer clear of the busy alternatives.

Came into this place several times and to clarify my review, this poor rating is for the tailor shop and the organization of finding things in this place...This review is NOT for MWR or the mini mart next door, not even for the food court. I purchase dresses online for my husband's military formals and often times it arrives very lengthy on the bottom and I don't want to trip on my gowns at an event so I go in to have them tailored. I've been on island for 3 years now and we have been to maybe 4 or 5 military formals Sub Ball and Khaki Ball. My dresses I purchase cost about $80 and the tailor wants to charge me more than what the dress costs just to trim the length. The most annoying is that the prices are never the same for every dress I bring in and to every tailor I talk to. One wants to charge x amount and the other is telling them they need to add a couple dollars more...it's never consistent. One tailor even told me I shouldn't trim it because that's the style, long trains are what people like nowadays.." seriously, I'm not trying to kill myself at a military formal just because women like long dresses! I'd like to wear a decent formal dress that is safe to walk in! Cashiers too are the same when it comes to making up prices. I go in for Velcro name tags and one cashier will charge me x amount for each tag with Velcro and when I go in to order more, a different cashier will charge me a different amount for the same thing. Seriously feels like a swap meet having to negotiate the price you should be paying because it's never the same. Last Christmas I put together an athletic letterman jacket for my daughter as her high school keepsake from high school using awarded patches she received from San Diego's Hall of Fame and her nomination patch from a tournament. I took the jacket in to have the patches sewn on and the embroidery done to personalize for her. I was given a slip for pickup and it was going to take a few weeks. I left the slip in my car cup holder and spilled coffee on it. When it was time to pick up the uniform, my husband went in and was given a hard time when he didn't have the slip. Apparently they went to the back to look under our last name and rolled the garment hanger to find a red letterman hanging and after almost an hour waiting they told my husband they cannot find it and that it's always "best" to have the slip/ticket. I called to speak to a manager and within minutes!!!! ...she found the jacket sitting in the first letter of our last name pending pickup! It was stressful and very annoying. I thanked the manager and explained to her that my husband was given a hard time for not having a slip that I spilled coffee on and she said that shouldn't have ever been an issue as long as we give a last name, there's shouldn't be any problems finding it. I think they need to re-evaluate the people they hire...customer service was not a part of their mission and customer satisfaction goal was that of only their manager. She was the only one who was quick, knew what she was looking for, and was very professional about it. The letterman was a sentimental gift that cannot be replaced and so the stress and anxiety of being told they don't have it was frustrating. It was unnecessary and avoidable.

I really do love this place. Where else on base can you get your husband's uniform fixed, get lunch and find something fun to do in Hawaii?I feel like in order for you guys to see how much this place has I have to review this place piece by piece. First off you have the food court area. There are three fast food restaurants that you can get lunch from. And there is an awesome patio that you can eat lunch at. Just beware, this place get's super busy during lunch time. So if you do want food don't go there from about 11:00am-1:30pm. Or you will be waiting forever!Right next to the food court is a mini mart area. These places have the same type of stuff. It has movies, books, camera's, and sunglasses. It also has everything from energy drinks to snacks. My favorite feature of this place is that it has a walk in beer cooler. Which is really awesome. The way I see it, is that this place has everything that a tourist could want or need. Which is really convenient because the MWR ticket place is located in the same building.Right next to the mini mart store is the Uniform Shop. I'm not going to lie, being a spouse I really don't need to go in this area but I do with my husband. They have everything you need for a navy uniform. They also do dry cleaning, alterations and put the ribbons and medals you need in the correct order. My husband seemed to really like that. I also found out that they also dry clean formal gowns. I think they might do alterations to formal gowns too but you might want to make sure!!Lastly they have the MWR ticket office next to the Uniform Shop. I've used MWR before and I seriously love this place. If there is anything that I want to buy tickets for I buy them through MWR. Also if I want to visit an attraction I go to MWR. The reason I do this is because it's so much cheaper than buying them through ticket master or through the place it's self. Also MWR hosts some really cool events. If you are military and you have access to this place you really should try this place out!! It's a great resource!

This review is for the Fleet store's barbershop section inside Pearl Harbor base. My boyfriend decided to go to this ( usually he goes to the NEX barbershop to get his haircut ) we decided to go to the Fleet store barbershop; it was closer and he needed to get a haircut soon. However, I got disappointed with the customer service in their barbershop. My boyfriend wanted to have his sides faded and trip the top. She suggested a number three, which she said she'll cut it a little bit on the top, but not too short. I was shocked to see what she has done! She had completely cut all his hair and it was obviously less than an inch! That's way beyond short! I can see my boyfriends great disappointed face, yet he did not say anything. So I decided to confront her when we were about to pay. I asked if it was faded and she rudely replied, "I don't know, ask him." I felt aback of how disrespectful and rude she was. She answered with no courtesy as if we aren't customers. She insisted that my boyfriend liked her suggestion( he said okay only because she said it wasn't going to be that short on the top) , but she was never considerate enough to ask, during the process of cutting his hair, if it is right. She then continued to act rude toward us as we were paying. We wanted to finish the transaction fast because we did not want to cause any further dispute, though she rudely said " can you please wait!" I was at that level of pure irritation. I stormed out the store with my boyfriend ahead without even getting the receipt. It is just sad that people nowadays do not possess good customer service. I have never experience such a disrespectful employee as this woman. She is a Filipino short lady with curly long hair. She also wears shoes that adds to her height. Do not get a haircut from her!

It's difficult to compare this store to others since they all vary slightly. Most fleet stores I have been to are only convenience stores and possibly a Subway. This fleet store holds the mini-exchange, a food court, the uniform store, the dry cleaners, the MWR, including the ITT, travel connections, outdoor recreation, and an Enterprise Rent-a-Car. The food court has a Charley's, Subway, Seattle's Best, Taco Del Mar and a local gyro and steak place which I believe are only open during the week. I usually only come here for their dry cleaning/alterations services since I'd rather travel off base to eat. They have reasonable prices for alterations with a team of ladies who can guarantee the return of your garment in 5 to 7 days. You walk into the fitting room and ring a bell to get fitted. I just wish the ladies would stop commenting on how alterations are a waste of time. Every time I go, they ask me why I just didn't exchange it. It's frustrating, but tolerable given the price. I believe they also only alter by machine. Once I brought in a dress to get the sides taken in, but they returned it because their machine couldn't replicate the stitch. However, I took it somewhere else where they hand stitched it perfectly. Plenty of parking and long hours to accomodate anyone on night shift

They have everything here, from uniform to liquor, to fast food! The seamstress at this place are amazing! Especially, when it comes to emergent, last minute work! Huge selection of alcohol, snacks, ice cream, and even a decent sushi selection. There's a Charlie's, Seattle Best, Subway, Taco del Mar, Mr. Gyro, and s Caribbean fast food place! How cool is that?

We come here often for Redbox as there aren't any actual Redbox dispensers on the Hickam side and we usually have free Redbox coupons. The shop itself is decent. The selection isn't as large as the Hickam Nimitz shoppette, but it isn't short on items either. There is also a rather large Navy uniform store.

For the Tailor Shop,Quick turn around ! I dropped a shirt off to have a party shirt made for my military ball and asked for the expedited service. Did a great job! Next day turn around when they originally quoted me three days. Either or I would have been fine with! Shirt looks great! Staff very helpful!

This review is for the tailor, not the mini mart. If I could give 0 stars I would. Extremely overpriced, terrible customer service.
