Newtown Dining Korean Restaurant

First time dining with the family. Parking is limited but there's parking on the other side. The food is great. I enjoyed my seafood soup. I request it to be mild. Perfect for a nice cool day. The sides are also delicious. The services there were excellent. She kept serving us sides and refilling our water and asking if we're okay. Overall it was a great experiences and i would go back again. Want to try the fish roe soup. I love soup.

This place used to be a Graces.....I think they been here about a year or so.... honestly I wasntExpecting anything spectacular ...I was wrong!!Located next to Daves Icecream the insides sort of had the same layout as when it was Graces but way nicer furniture and tables and chairs not booths..Staff was overwhelmed but very calm and pleasant lady. The place was crowded!! The food was phenominal!! Very tasty with IMHO the best meat jun sauce hands down....Portions was good and prices very affordable for Korean food....we will definetely be back!! Definetely one of the better and top korean restaurants I have experienced!!

so ur friend StacyLei tried and said was ono and that's good enough for me.parked on the Newtown side mini parking lot by Dave's ice cream. had no problem parking.went in... was filled with a whole bunch of golfers ... maybe they just pau hit balls at the driving range. but luckily da aunty got us a table.got right to business ordered some of our favorite Korean grinds... started with the kim chee pancake. theirs is fluffier side and had a lighter flavor but kim chee was good.had the meat jun, it's good but I'm used to a thicker style with more marinade. had to get the big bone Kal bi to make the review official. was also good. jap Chae is also a lil different than I'm used to but was good. had like Whitaker mushroom slices if you're into da in your noodles. dukbokki was good. Dukes was soft like fresh kine and good ko chu Jang flavor

First time dining here...been meaning to check it out for awhile. What was I thinking? The food here is so awesome I'm already craving for the next time! Small place but service is great! Aunty is so nice and portions are really good. I had the stir fried squid (medium spicy) wasn't too spicy and had amazing flavor. Squid cooked perfectly! Significant other had the mixed plate and let me sample some of everything...I need to get an order of mandoo for myself for next time...that's the only thing he didn't share! We also ordered the seafood pancake which had lots of seafood in it. Once again, perfectly cooked. Good variety of banchan too.

We did a phone order and it was ready so fast! The lady that answered was so cute telling me ok honey, you come in 5 minutes. Kalbi was good!

I've been eyeing this place after seeing a review online. We weren't that hungry so we shared a meat jun mandoo plate. Their portions are HUGE! This was more than enough for 2 people to share. Kinda pricey but I'll come back!

Had a great lunch date with niece and she suggested this restaurant and for good reasons too! The service is quick and the food is delicious! I like that they asked you what spicy level you want (mild,medium or hot) I like my soondubu spicy but not too spicy and the medium was just right! We had the seafood tofu soup, kimchee soup and seafood pancake. Wow! Very tasty! Definitely will return to try more on the menu!

Newtown is a really homey and cozy Korean restaurant with a lot of local favorites and authentic Korean dishes. It's right next to Dave's Ice Cream - I had a great weeknight date here! This spot is open until 9 pm and we came in around 8pm and the service and food was quick and friendly! We ordered their meat jun + fish jun combo and their bibimbap. They also had an array of banchan side dishes. My fav banchans were the fishcakes and eggplant- love a Korean spot with delicious banchan! I love jun and hate making the decision between fish, meat, or veggie jun. I love that we can order a combo and get two of them! I think next time I'll get the fish and veggie jun. I do wish that they had hotstone bibimbap for the crispy rice, but their regular bibimbap was still very good and felt nourishing! If I lived super nearby, I could see myself being a regular here!

If you are away from Honolulu and want an authentic Korean food, I would say this place tops it. Cons: very pricy. Dishes are $20 plus. Pros: Bigger portion size for cold noodle dish and also bibibop. Yukgejang tasted good. Thumbs up for 2 types of kimchee. Also had ojinguh jutgal as banchan. Very unique. Waitress said banchans are rotated daily .Kimchee jun was very thick, size of small pizza at $21.

Friendly staff and amazing Korean Food. The best mando anywhere! Beef Bulgogi is spicy and flavorful. You must try their BBQ Chicken. Their variety of side dishes elevates the meal to the next level. Definitely will be going back to try everything on the menu!
