Aloha folks! This time at New Town Cafe, I ordered the Bbq mix, it was perfect for my hunger and zero complaints. I will definitely order this plate again. The service is fast and easy. The Ambiance is great as well.. the sounds of the golf clubs hitting the balls, and enjoying the fresh air.

Massive portions of inexpensive, Chinese / local style plate lunches at a driving range.Again, think L&L, with Chinese spiced curry and the use of Chinese soy sauce vs da local kine Aloha Shoyu in all teriyaki marinades. There is a distinct different flavor from the old school plate lunch spots. An upside, dishes sounding Chinese are above average. For example, the wok fried udon is loaded with chicken, scrambled eggs, cabbage and udon all seasoned like the typical Chinese wok cooked noodle with a kiss of wok hei is definitely better than most fried noodles at a typical plate lunch spot.As previously mentioned, teriyaki dishes all use Chinese soy sauce. Strong marinades, very deep flavor. The quality of the beef is sus, being tough and with a lot of sinew. The teriyaki marinated pan fried butterfish, different in a good way. Moist, oily, deeply flavored with a bonus hint of "freezer" flavor. Finally, the chicken katsu curry; massive. Three thick boneless things drowned in an oddly flavored Chinese style curry. Well cooked and plenty juicy but the curry is extremely salty.Incredible value with most weighty plates $14 or less.Barely above average but seriously, no one expects outstanding, refined eats from a plate lunch joint rather huge quantities of food for sustenance.

Located at the Newtown Driving Range in Aiea, this casual restaurant is perfect for takeout or enjoying your meal on the benches while watching golfers practice their swings. As a first-time visitor and a vegetarian, I ordered the eggplant tofu, which came with two scoops of fried rice and a side of macaroni salad. Despite several orders ahead of mine, the food was prepared quickly, and the plate was impressively heavy and packed with food. The meal was flavorful, and I had more than enough to take home--an excellent value for $13.99, especially for such a generously portioned plate lunch.

This is in the Driving Range. Starting with that because we drove around like dummies. As we were walking up the stairs a guys stops us to ask us if we are ordering food. We were like " yeah, our first time here." He says. " its sooooo good!" then walks away. So random. Its a window, then you can take out or sit in the driving range area. Lots of tables so not a problem. However lots of takeout order. Great menu of local favorites. Im always going to try the cold ginger chicken because thats the one that'll decide if I come back. Hubby got the garlic pork chops. The chicken was very cold and not too moist but the sauce... Ill definitely be back. My husband's garlic pork chops was very yummy, savory but super super thin so didnt meet the $14 expectation. Get the mini. We decided it was good enough to come back and try other things when we are in the area again.

Beef chow mein is so good! What makes it extra tasty is if you take home you add garlic chili oil. Also had a curry katsu which was also delicious..

A takeout window at a Golf driving range that has an impressively excessive menu. With that said, some items are five stars and others are three stars. For example, do you get the eggplants, but not the saimen.

Huge portions for reasonable prices! This place is located at the Newtown Driving Range and opened about a year ago. I've never been before but, my parents' friends raved about this place and we decided to try it & it did not disappoint! My Dad picked up the food and brought it home so I can't say much about the service & ambiance. But, I can say, for 8 plates, we paid $94 with tax! That's not bad all for all the food we got. Here's what we got:1. I got the Chicken Chow Mein and it was a FULLL plate of noodles with flavorful bbq chicken pieces, onions, and cabbage. I loved it and couldn't stop eating it. It was flavorful and loved that it had veggies! This was $12.99. 2. Next, we ordered 3 chicken katsu curry plates and these were 2-3lb! It was HEAVY! It came with 3 layers of chicken katsu, 2 scoops of rice, and Mac salad. The chicken was crispy & covered in curry. There was plenty of curry & sooo much leftovers. These plates were $12.50 each. 3. My grandma got a mini beef stew & it was in the same large takeout container as the regular plates just with one scoop of rice instead of 2. It was again, a lot! My grandma said she enjoyed be large chunks of carrots, potato, and beef. 4. My mom got cake noodles and she was sooo happy it had so much veggies including broccoli, zucchini, cabbage, and even chicken. Again, the plate was full to the top. There was plenty of sauce covering everything. She loved it!Overall, we are all looking forward to trying other things on the menu and will now be raving about this place to others too!

The parking lot is crazy on a Tuesday night but we were able to find a stall after a couple minutes.

I have been coming here for almost a year now ... and I still enjoy the food . I always order to go since this is located in a golf driving range . We always order the Chicken Karaage and chicken Katsu and the mini version is still a full plate . The portions are very generous. I only wish they improve the tonkatsu sauce as twice we ordered and it was very watery . Other than that... the chicken katsu is still very tasty . I also ordered the Garlic shrimp and that was also very good and a lot of shrimps too. There are a lot of tables outside to eat if needed and the grounds are also kept clean. There is nothing fancy about this place and service is good . When I place a take out order ... it's usually fast service . I highly recommend this place if you just want a good plate lunch .. and at a good price !

Service was quick, menu can be seen at walk up window. The food came out hot and fresh looking. Food was tasty, good portions for mini, and decently priced. I got a special mini garlic ahi which usually comes with 1 scoop rice, 1 scoop mac salad but got toss salad instead. Lots of outdoor seating under covering overlooking the golf range. It's a very chill atmosphere. The stray cats are a bit of a nuisance but they did not bother us.Men's restroom is open with no key required, but women's restroom must get key at the golf range desk. Lots of parking and pretty cool due to shade from large trees in the parking lot.Definitely recommend and will come back again!
