Melissa is the best!!! She was super cool, friendly, and very talented! My wife and I are also photographers so we can tell when someone is professional and experienced, and she checks all the boxes!!We also have a son with a severe disability, and she was able to capture him smiling and laughing and looking at the camera, which is usually very difficult for any other photographer to do, but Melissa was able to do it and make it look easy!We shot at Kualoa Ranch upon her suggestion and it was perfect and so worth the drive! The sand was great, the waters blue with great waves and texture, and we had the Chinaman hat mountain in the background, as well as the Kualoa Ranch mountains when you turn around the other way. Melissa's compositions were perfect and captured the beauty of Hawaii in all directions with our family!Book Melissa for all your photo needs in Hawaii!!!

We worked with Melissa & VIVIDfotos for our wedding, and we were so pleased with our experience, which is why we contacted Melissa again for photographs when we recently gave birth to our first child. We worked with Nest Family Portraiture for a newborn photoshoot and holiday family portraits. The options were affordable, and we could choose if we wanted outdoors, in their photo studio, or even in our own home! Melissa emailed us tips for a successful photoshoot and provided us with some newborn props too. She helped us so much during the session - like keeping the temperature warmer for our newborn to feel comfortable, helping us pose, etc. We received our downloadable photos quickly, and we were absolutely in love with them all! They came out STUNNING! We are so grateful to be able to work with Melissa to document the most important events of our lives.

Crysta was our photographer and from start to finish this was more than just hiring a photographer. This was hiring an experience!! From the beginning she was open to my Pinterest board inspiration and she shared their blogs which were so helpful in determining which location would be best for us. On the day of our maternity photoshoot, she was extremely efficient with time and getting everything we wanted and more. She was so good at directing shots while constantly wearing a friendly smile. It was so easy to be relaxed and not feel awkward in front of a camera. This was one of the best photoshoot experiences of our lives! Then comes the day we get our photos.... we weren't expecting it at all but she made a photo slideshow and we reviewed the photos with her over Google hangout and we were in LOOOOVE. We loved every single photo. My poor Instagram feed is flooded with them ;) it was the exact angle, mood, candid moments that we were hoping for. I couldn't recommend Crysta & Mel from Nest Family Photography enough!!!!!!!!*I only attached a few photos but UGH wouldn't you want to see them all too?!!

I loved working with the Nest family team. I used them for maternity shots and then my family portraits after the baby came because they were amazing with "the baby" the first time (aka - my husband). My husband is normally HORRIBLE with things like this but they made it so easy and natural it was so easy to get good shots. I now use them for all my family portraiture. Sidenote - I'm a wedding planner so I've worked with thousands of photographers in my career. They're seriously so. So. Awesome.

We were looking for someone who could take newborn photos for our baby and saw Nest Photography at the baby expo! Being a first time parent I was scrambling to get everything ready before our baby got here. It was only a couple weeks before my due date when I contacted Crysta about setting up a photoshoot...I was worried it was too late to set something up! Crysta was so nice and helped me set everything up before our baby Robyn came. She helped me customize a package with photos every 3 months till she turns one! I was so happy and relieved that she made this process so easy and accommodated my needs! When we arrived for our newborn photos Crysta and Mel were so kind, understanding, and patient! We were running late and she was getting fussy during the photoshoot. We are so happy with the photos and how they turned out! Due to the pandemic, we didn't want everyone coming to visit, so sending out our thank you cards with her newborn photos was a great way for everyone to see her! When her 3 month photoshoot came we fed her before she started so she would be in a good mood but that didn't happen...she was crying for most of the photoshoot and she didn't want to smile. When we got the photos we were so surprised! They got photos without her screaming and she was smiling! We were so happy! Crysta and Mel, you guys are amazing! We are so happy with our photos and can't wait to do her other photoshoots! Thank you!!

My family first met Crysta advertising at the Baby Expo and she was the primary contact for our family photo shoot at Waimanalo Beach Park. My wife was set to give birth so we did maternity/family photos with our son and we couldn't be happier with the result.Crysta and Mel were an amazing team at the photo shoot and they were incredibly professional. They had tons of poses and locations ready for us to go, so all we had to do was show up and follow directions. They also provided us with guides on what to wear so that we could be as prepared as possible for our pictures (which was especially helpful for my wife who was about nine months pregnant at the time). They made our toddler son very comfortable and he was nothing but smiles with them the entire time.Needless to say, the photos came out amazing and their photo packages come with a lot of care and attention to detail. They provide an amazing service and products that we will cherish forever. I highly recommend giving them your business.

We were hesitant on spending a lot of money for a photo session, but it was sooo worth it. Melissa was incredible for my son's first birthday smash cake session!!! Communication before and after the shoot was awesome. During the shoot she was very instructive and great at getting our baby's attention... which you know is hard to do if you have small children. She was able to get us a bunch of pictures to post in time for his birthday and we love them all! We cannot wait to display them in our home for years to come.

We had a wonderful time doing a family photoshoot in Honolulu with Melissa! Melissa was very kind and understanding throughout the whole process; from picking the photoshoot spot to the final product. We enjoy the whole experience.

Melissa is awesome! Super easy to communicate with, very professional and really awesome with the kids. We've done newborn pictures, Christmas pictures and it was just a great, easy experience. And most importantly, the pictures are fantastic! Certainly beats the hassle of yelling at the kids to "look at the stuffy!, smile!, etc". Will work with NEST any time we need great quality pictures in the future!!!

Melissa is so nice and patient with our toddler. Even when our toddler throws a tantrum she still manages to capture the best pictures of our family. We absolutely love our pictures and will continue to use Melissa!
