Napoleon's Bakery Waipio

Holiday treats...Not that it's the only time I visit but they certainly do help make the holidays right with seasonal flavors so it's never a dull moment whenever you visit any of the bakeries.This Waipio location was an unexpected visit as I was just a block away at the Hawaii Okinawa Center as they were having their craft fair and since I was parked right across the street from ZIPPY'S I just had to take a peek before leaving the area.First of all what a lovely spot walking in I usually find that the Napoleon's area closed and you need to order at the take out counter though here it was going strong and with a lot of treats as their display case was filled with items including the one that mom loves is the Jello Squares which I rarely see these days so I had to get one and the Pumpkin Bread Pudding which was a bit sweet for me but was nice a moist with a hint of the yummy pumpkin, I did like it but was difficult to eat it all in one sitting...mom on the other hand loved her jello square and had to restrain herself from eating it all lol!The service here is so nice and friendly packed it all ready for travel which I appreciate and having all the yummies even at the later time of the day.Thank you!

Really limited selection at about 9pm...and annoying that you have to order at the food counter where you can't even see what you want. I ditto the other review about pricing. Bad slow service! Go to Mililani, the workers there are much more helpful.

Dear Zippys, Your maple bars are the bomb. Would you please consider putting some slices of bacon on them and selling it that way? This would make my year. Cherry napples are also bomb, but seem to be shrinking over the years despite prices going up. My daughter's favorite are the glazed donuts with the chocolate in the middle.

It was an almost 5 star experience for me...As most people know, Napoleon's is the bakery supporting Zippy's. Now, I normally will order dessert items after my meal at Zippy's but on this occasion, it was 5 am and we were getting pastries and a cake.My friend and I looked in the display cooler and nothing had been put into the display cooler yet. Here's my quick run down of the transaction...and why it's not 5 star experience.Friend: "how much is that cake? The one that says happy birthday?"Girl behind counter: "That's just a display cake. It's not for sale."Friend: "Ok, so what kinds of cakes do you have and can we get one?"Girl: Opens refrigerator: "We have all different ones"Me: "How much do they cost?"Girl: taking out the dobash chocolate cake. "There are different prices"Me: "ok, so the one that you are holding- how much is that one?"Girl "It's a chocolate dobash cake"Me: "How much does it cost"Girl: "$12.50"Me: "What other cakes do you have?"Girl: Points at refrigeratorFriend: "What is that white one?"Girl: Taking it out: "This is chocolate haupia"Me: "Great, let's take that one"We still didn't know the price...We did however get our pastries for breakfast and pay for the cake in a timely manner.And of course I will be back because it is the bakery at Zippy's...and they were open at 5am...#Yelp 365 Challenge 100/365

Napoleon's Bakery is what you'll find in every Zippy's location. This bakery is in Waipio Gentry next to the Tesoro gas station. FSH is next door. There's ample parking in the lot surrounding the facility. Love the pastries and cakes here! Dobash is our family's favorite go-to cake for birthdays. They will write on cakes and pies for free while you wait. Just takes a few minutes!
