Napoleon's Bakery Waiau

Fat Tuesday and didn't want to get in line at the Leonard's Malasada truck at Pearlridge. So hubby said let's eat at Zippys and get Napoleon's malasada. It's served hot and fresh since it's made to order. Nicely and Event sugared on the outside, outside was nice and crunchy. Not as moist inside as Leonard's but it was fluffy and good. Will do a pinch!

I was driving my friend home after zumba when she suddenly remembered that she had a church function to attend and that she needed to buy a cake for the meeting. Luckily we were about a half mile away from Napolean Bakery so we stopped by so she could pick up her favorite chantilly cake.It's been so many years since I've had a chantilly cake. I almost ran in and bought one for myself, but I'm not allowed to eat sweets right now......The cake was a big hit at my friend's church meeting, but she was disappointed that the cake was smaller in size and much more expensive than it used to be. This doesn't really bother me; because of the pandemic, it seems that every restaurant I've been to has raised their prices. I hear Covid cases are rising again, I really hope it doesn't cause another shutdown of restaurants..... if it does, I'll buy a chantilly cake to bring home, and I'll eat the entire cake by myself. Yeah it's that good!

Cyndy's Bottom Line: It's all about the Apples Naples!If you love apples and puff pastry you will love the apple naple. Flakey, buttery puff pastry on the outside with an apple pie filling on the inside and drizzled with icing onthe outside. So scrumptiously delicious!There are different fillings too like chocolate.So many pastries to choose from there is something for everyone!
