Definitely our new favorite restaurant across the Islands (Kenichi Pacific was until now). I can't tell you how much this broke da mouth other than that. We're meat eaters, but fave for sure was the Ulu Tots and the Cabbage Salad. The Miso Butterfish was so flaky and tender, the Tsu'nami roll and Kanpachi Crudo were also excellent. We sat by the sushi bar, which was great, seeing that they have an open kitchen, nothing to hide, and totally profesh. Service was quick, attentive and kind, it didn't seem like they were only working for tips; it didn't seem fake Can't wait to go back!

I was able to book a brunch reso the day before. Sat at the sushi counter to get a view of the kitchen.Let's get straight to the food. 4 course prefix menu. Choose starter and main.Amuse was their take on like a mapo tofu without the sour chili oil heat. Omg YES! Yes, yes, yes! This should be a whole main course with a bowl of hot rice.Starter, onion soup. Cute little mug. Flavorful broth with just enough cheese and bread soaked inside. Loved how I could just pick up the mug and drink the soup toward the end.Main (this was tough to choose. Wish I had a bigger stomach to try it all). Honey Walnut Shrimp Waffle. YES! You heard that right. Best part? It all worked together. From the green granny apples to the micro greens to the savory from a classic Chinese banquet dish to the sweet fluffy/ crunchy waffle all served in a bed of nice GOOD maple syrup. It was like a melting pot of flavors that I savored every bite. Yum YUM!Last course, dessert. Caramel macchiato (sp?) Salted Caramel and I forget the other ingredients but the cake was just spongy and soft and not too sweet and was a perfect finish to the meal that left no crumbs behind.DD had the steamed Egg which was just absolutely divine that she refused to trade with me despite how much she loved my soup. Her ahi burger was...IDK. It was so good that I never got a bite from her. Fries were thick crunchy and nicely salted Definitely going to come back again. Their menu changes...seasonally I believe the serve said.No complaints. Kudos to all the guys in the kitchen taking so much pride in their craft, plating ea dish with attention to detail and care.

I've always seen this place on my Instagram since I love seeing restaurants using local ingredients and creating a little twist to it! I went on a Friday night to treat my little shawty for their birthday dinner, and it was DEFINITELY POPPING (very busy). Despite being located next to the spooky docks at night, they had a very, pleasing, modern ambiance which would be great for a girls night out or date night!I highly recommend booking ahead on their website since it gets busy. It can be a little pricey, but it is worth the experience since the seafood was very fresh and they look like they collaborate with other local businesses like Asato Sorbet and Okazu Ma. We got - Ulu Tots ($13)- Oysters ($14) - smaller than what we expected- Lobster Chawanmush ($16)- Steamed Hawaiian Kanpachi ($42)- Krusty Krab Rolls ($26)- Vanilla Chiffon ($8)- Asato Family Sorbet ($6)*BONUS POINTS*- updated menu for brunch and dinner menu on their website- easy adjustments for reservations - amazing service - good idea for girls night out, date night, or just to treat yourself *PARKING*-plenty of parking-just be careful of driving at night since there's not that many painted arrows or lines that could be one-way roads, along with a few stop signs.

We didn't read the bio/description of the restaurant enough before choosing to come here (our fault). We were in Oahu for a few days and that day was my dad's birthday. We saw it was a sushi spot, so we stopped by and celebrated there. We didn't realize that it's a quality-over-quantity food experience. We ordered multiple dishes that we killed instantly LOL. It was kinda embarrassing for us, but still a dope place for a date night or something like that. The owner said he was also from the Bay Area so shoutout to him and for hooking it up for my dad's birthday. But also the extremely helpful and friendly servers assisting too!

Always wanted to try this fusion brunch place! We went for a pre-wedding get together. Located near Pier 38, a true hole in the wall of you're not being observant. Free parking around the restaurant in marked stalls. Missed the entrance a few times trying to locate it because their sign is not really that noticeable. A simple exterior that matches the other places around it, but once you step in, it is sleek and modern. What a vibe! I ordered the Shrimp Banh Mi Sando. Was expecting a banh mi with the baguette and shrimp inside but it's basically a shrimp burger on a brioche bun with pickled do chua (carrot & daikon), lettuce, tomato, and kewpie mayo with their house chili gel. Comes with side of fries or salad but I had to get the fries of course! Burger was actually really good! I thoroughly enjoyed it with the, what seemed like, twice fried and coated crispy fries. Would get again. Friends got the Honey Walnut Shrimp Waffle & Shrimp Toast Benedict (deconstructed Benedict with a sous vide egg and Hollandaise sauce for dipping). They were both okay. Wish there was a little more shrimp on top the waffle & the syrups were a little too sweet for me but the shrimp & waffle work well together, surprisingly! The waffle was not as crispy as I would have liked. The shrimp toast Benedict was interesting. You dip the toast into the hollandaise/egg mix. We also got the Lilikoi Crunch pancake, Negi Ham-mah, and the Marinated Eggplant Salad to share. Wow! I loved the Lilikoi crunch pancakes! What a burst of tart, passion fruit flavor and those crunch pieces, delectable! So good taking a bite with all components. Negi Ham-mah (roll with charred scallion ginger hamachi and torched hamachi with a soy chili gel) had a perfect mix of textures and flavors that worked well together. Didn't need extra shoyu at all! I usually don't like eggplant but this one was good! A little vinegary and salty from the marinade with daikon on top, refreshing! I would definitely get the Lilikoi pancakes and the Shrimp Banh Mi Sando again! Can't wait to try some of their other brunch items!

Discovered during recent special group lunch that weekday lunch menu is now prix fixe and that a 3% credit card surcharge is assessed. Now that I got that out of the way, Nami Kaze did not disappoint. Greeted by friendly and professional server AM B, who provided excellent responses to our questions, provided great service and took good care of our table. Beer batter auction fish, Teri ahi burger and People's Choice along with the dessert were all excellent! We'll be back and perhaps during a weekend for brunch... Good job, Nami Kaze!

Tucked away in a remote location in Honolulu that I've never been to before. The meal included a knowledgeable server (Eric) who enhanced the experience by helping us navigate the menu. We were pleased with our food selections and would've repeated the experience if we had more belly room. And, of course, the dessert was fantasticBB
