Hands down my new favorite Indian restaurant on island. The wifey and I decided to brave the outskirts of Waikiki to try a new Indian place, partially because our typical go-to Indian restaurant was super busy and partly because we wanted to try a new restaurant, so glad we did. The restaurant is located inside the Discovery Bay building on the 2nd floor. The restaurant is fairly small, but cozy and overlooks Ala Moana Boulevard. Staff is super friendly and accomodating,Wife and I ordered (too much food lol) the Vegetable Chili Momo, Vegetable Samosas, Lamb Vindaloo (extra spicy!), Vegetable Korma, Garlic Naan, a Mango Lassi and a Mixed Fruit Lassi. The Lassis came out first and while the mango one was perfection in a glass, the mixed berrry lassi was just a little too sweet for both os us. The Chili Momo came out next and was absolutely incredible. Fried Nepali style dumplings in a chili sauce with bell peppers and onions. The star of our meal, in my opinion.Samosas were a little smaller than our usual go to spot, which i wont name here, but just as, if not more delicious. The vindaloo (my go to) and the korma (my wife's go to) were absolutely delicious as well. The only thing I would maybe change was the garlic naan. Not that it was bad at all, just feel like it could have been cooked a little longer as it was a lot floppier than im used to, but maybe im just used to overcooked naaan? who knows. still delicious. Portions sizes are perfect for us as we were able to take home a bunch for another meal...but again, we did order a lot for 2 people. We wished we had time to stay and try a dessert or two, but we had lost track of time and needed to rush out and pick up the kids. The ONLY downside to this place is the absolute nightmare of a parking garage that is the Discovery Bay. Thankfully Namaste validates parking so its a flat $2, but that parking structure is the one of the most awfully designed parking garages ever. Not really a knock to the restaruant since they have no control over that aspect, but just know its pretty horrendous. If you can find street parking, take it. save yourself the headache.
