Have been coming back off and on with my grandkids since my son got stationed here. We ran across it and stopped by one day and it's kept us coming back. The selection varies. Some days are better than others. Get there early if you want the most variety. You'll know as soon as you walk in the door if you timed it right or not. Simple set up with two display cases and the register. My favorite is the apple fritter. My grandkids love picking anything with sprinkles and the donut holes. The plain glaze is a favorite by everyone as well. Love when you arrive early and they're still warm. Mmmm. If you're in Wahiawa and would like a little sweet treat stop in. The same lady always seems to wait on us.

My husband's co worker brought a box of Doughnuts to work and he wanted to stop by to check out the bakery. We were on the way to the North Shore so decided to stop by. Small bakery, no frills, with a parking lot right in front. We came kind of late in the day so a lot of items were sold out. Aris was manning the bakery when we walked in and he was very welcoming and friendly, he took the time to describe all the items in the case and even gave us a few complimentary doughnut holes to try. We learned that they bake all the goods at their downtown location and drive it out to this Wahiawa location in the morning. We tried a few of the doughnuts and they were delicious. Glad they were all the yeast type doughnuts as I don't care for cake doughnuts. Definitely go check it out if you're in the area, your sweet tooth will thank you!

Decent donuts and great service! Surprised to see a donut shop in Wahiawa. The guy working the counter was great at giving info about the donuts and about the other location in town. The other worker was seated and looked unfriendly and aloof. Decent selection and daily specials but I didn't see any super fancy donuts. The left counter has the larger and more expensive donuts like the bear claws. Storefront looks more like pawn shop with the security gate doors. No seating, strictly for take out. They close early if donuts sell out.

William Burgos has opened his second Mr. Donut's & Bakery in Central Oahu. His first donut shop is in Downtown, Honolulu on Bishop Street. Mr. Donut's is a great addition to Wahiawa and is located right on Kamehameha Highway next to Mina Nails. If you're looking for a cute cafe where you enjoy your donut with a cup of coffee, this isn't it. They just get right down to business. So, if it's fresh and delicious donuts you're looking for, this is the place for you. They have a lot of the usual classics and favorites: glazed, chocolate, chocolate with sprinkles, strawberry with sprinkles, and even blueberry cake donuts. The donuts are light and fluffy with a perfect glaze on the outside. The donuts are a little on the pricey side. A dozen donuts was almost $30 but they're generously sized, so at least you get your money's worth.Don't wait too late in the day to get your donuts. They are scheduled to close at 3pm, but if they sell out on donuts, they close up shop for the day. They also have a small coffee bar and bottled drinks available.

Have heard of Mr. Donut for years, but since I neither worked or live anywhere near their Alakea St bakery, I never had the chance to try their pastries.Did hear of the opening of another branch there in Wahiawa. Reading some other reviewers, they refer it not as a bakery since none of the baking is done at the Wahiawa location but 'an outlet' --- saying the pastries were delivered from their Alakea St bakery just before the 7 am opening. The store is wider than it is in depth from front to the back walls. Ambiance is at least addressed with the warm paint colors on the walls (and not just plain white) along with some minor decor in a few spots. Checked on Google Streetview for the location and went this Thursday morning about 8:40 am and the parking lot was quite empty at the time (there are two driveways available from Olive Ave and the other from Kamehameha Ave. If you are coming from town side, best to use the Olive Ave entry as you have the traffic light intersection making it easier get into the parking lot. There were no large signage indicating 'Mr. Donut' except for the small neon sign on one of the front windows indicating 'donuts'. As previously mentioned by some reviewers, there was the Latin woman as the only person present - she was neither friendly (as some reviews made her out to be) or mean. There was just one male customer finishing up his order as my friend and I entered. She was cordial, but there were just a few times I had to ask her to repeat as her accent was slightly thick. I don't find it particularly safe to only have one worker working all alone in this establishment.I bought (2) buttermilk sticks, a bear claw, apple fritter and a cinnamon donut. I thought for sure these five items were less than the $16 in cash I had as I wanted to get the discounted pricing if paying by cash (4% less). But when she said the price was $22 and some change, I took a big swallow and told her no, I will have to pay by card ! Are they worth $4.32 each? Not to me... How can these pastries I bought ALL be categorized as 'fancys' (sic) and priced over $4 ?Yes, I did know the pricing was quite high since I read some of the Yelp reviews but thought for SURE it was going to be in the range I had cash on hand --- however I was proven wrong ! My friend who was with me told me how the layout of the pastries aligned with the pricing, and I only realized this after leaving the outlet ... As one steps into the business, the left side display case offers the lower priced donuts (filled or not filled), while the right side display case offers the 'fancies and higher signatures' pastries along with the butter rolls and croissants. As they run out of pastries during the day, the person will consolidate and put all pastries into one of the two display cases. When I saw the buttermilk sticks shown by another Yelp reviewer, I had to compare it to 7-11 Hawaii's buttermilk stick as the appearance is uncanny, but the size of Mr. Donut 50+ percent larger. They were sold as glazed and unglazed in the display case and I wondered how the worker knew I wanted the glazed pastry and placed it into my pastry box. Got home and bit into it and found the buttermilk taste mild... more the taste of pastry flour and glazed sugar than the weak buttermilk flavoring. The 7-11 Hawaii bakery goods' version that makes their buttermilk stick stands 'head and shoulders' in taste ! I would NOT get this pastry again. The bear claw pastry is the first time I have seen any bakery's version match the description of the pastry --- due to Mr. Donut making larger pastry sized items, their bear claw REALLY looks like a life sized 'bear claw'. Many places have variations as to what is the filling inside, but here its razor thin apple filling (like what one would see in an apple turnover) . Due to its size and overall taste and texture, I would purchase this item if I had to get a variety of pastries. There were no almond slivers on the outside of the pastry that is usually put on.Their apple fritter looks gigantic similar in design and diameter like from Kamehameha Bakery, though it is slightly flatter in height. Apple fritter taste is NOT there, a big disappointment. Tasting much like an empty pastry flour being deep fried by the baker and then sugar glazed but having forgotten to put some apple filling inside the pastry! Kamehameha Bakery version has way more taste and a fresher/softer feel as it is not as overglazed. I would not get this pastry again. Finally, the cinnamon donut - a 'looker' but that's it... bland taste, there is nothing more to say.I feel so disappointed that I want to dump the rest of the pastries - they were NOT good/flavorful ! Overall, you'd be better off at Kilani or Paalaa Kai Bakeries !Let me close this review by saying right now about the pastries (at least what I selected): IT WAS 'ALL SHOW' AND 'NO GO'... (looks appetizing but so disappointing in taste) ... Do better, Mr. Donut !

Mr Donuts and Bakery has opened up shop in Wahiawa close to Walgreens. They are open Monday through Sunday from 6am to 3pm to accommodate all of your fresh donut needs!Donuts start at $2.07 and go up to $4.74 for signature donuts (less if you are ordering by the dozen) depending on if you are paying cash or card. They also offer baked goods like muffins, croissants, and butter rolls. At first I was a little surprised that my twist was over $4 as it is a "fancy" donut, but look at the size of it! It's about the size of two donuts. Support local businesses and visit Mr Donuts and Bakery next time you are craving a donut!

I was at a near by business and walked in to Mr. Donut just to check it out since I haven't noticed this bakery here before. At first I had no intention of buying anything, until I saw the donuts and how amazing this place smelled. The people behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming, I could not walk out. I bought 3 glazed donuts and a couple of raspberry filled, the bad thing is they served the donuts all in a package, and not in a box.The glazed donut was so fluffy and fresh! My husband enjoyed the raspberry filled. I called my sister since she lives in Wahiawa, and told her about this place and she needs to come here immediately!Definitely returning for more of the fresh baked goods.

I contemplated weather or not to leave such a low star review because my family and I do enjoy Mr.Donuts. I was in a rush this morning so I decided to do an uber eats order, if you haven't done one, the options are very limited. But the option I chose was 1 Dozen Mix frosting and filling .and it doesn't specify what you get but there is the "special instructions" options so I put in a request and I specifically wrote "if not possible you can cancel the order" Pic for proof posted,So I'm writing this review because I did not receive what I requested, and they did not cancel it: they chose to put whatever they wanted inside. They did not take it upon themselves to even call me and tell me what they were out off, specially the chocolate dobash center donut (family favorite)When I received the order I called and spoke to the owner & he then states I only make the center dobash every two months. Which I find it hard to believe because my family and I are frequent visitors at least twice a month and never had a problem. Maybe his policy just started, so if you go for this donut just know he's not making it til November . He was not apologetic about his actions and made it seem like it was "oh well" type of thing. But let's be real, it's 8 am and I'm looking to get donuts for breakfast and I did not have time to stop so ordering was the best bet. Not saying this "ruined" my day. But I definetly ruined my morning when he should be making people's morning better.I support Local & small businesses and I hope this critique helps there business grow for further situations like myself.
