I was really looking forward to the hot Cheeto corn dog when I came here today. It looked awesome when I opened the box, but I saw that there was some kind of cheesy looking sauce on it but I tried it anyway. That cheesy looking sauce was horrible! It tasted like a sweet cheesy dressing, absolutely ruined the corn dog for me. I really was not expecting that to be on the corn dog. I also had to wait a good while for just 1 corn dog which was annoying. The workers here are always young and have low people skills. So placing the order is always rough, I wish she would have asked me if I wanted the sauce on it or even told me that it came with a sauce on it. I would have chosen to not get the sauce. Located in a busy area in the ala Moana mall. Also it was almost $7 for this 1 hot dog!

When I first ate here it was called MyungRang Hotdog. It's now Mr. Cow and they have a few locations on the island. It's the same concept and the food is pretty much the same. I usually get the Yamy Am $6.50. It's the one wrapped with small pieces of sweet potato fries. They batter the hot dog with rice flour that makes it super crispy with a little chewiness. I like mine with half a hot dog and half mozzarella cheese. If you're going to add cheese to your hot dog it'll be $1 more. The top half of the stick will have the cheese and the bottom half will be the hot dog. They have a few dipping sauces that you can choose from. I always get the sweet chili. I can't eat spicy, but the sauce isn't spicy at all.

My husband found this place a few weekends ago by chance. My daughter and I just went around to our normal place in the Ala Moana food court and sat down. My husband said he couldn't find anything that he really wanted. But then we sat next to Mr Cow.He saw all of their picture advertisements on their kiosk and wanted to give it a try. He loves hot dogs and that's what Mr Cow is all about. Mr Cow is like hot dogs on steroids. You get a hot dog and it's loaded with all kinds of toppings. My husband got the flaming potatoes. It has flaming Cheeto powder and had potatoes on the outside. It was topped with spicy mayo and cheese. The hot dog wasn't your small average dog, it was actually kind of big. My husband enjoyed it. I took a bite, it's just not for me. I don't like spicy and that was too spicy for me. And I'm not much of a hot dog person. But my husband thought it was a good deal and he was happy that he got to try it.

This is one of the Korean corn dog fad chains. I've unfortunately had much better at other similar locations in other cities. They were pretty busy in the mid-afternoon, so be prepared to wait as they are all made to order. Service was good and plesant.Other than my corn dog being freshly fried, I was pretty disappointed with how it tasted. The exterior was extremely over fried, to the point of it being very oily and hard rather than pleasantly crunchy. The interior had all the cheese melted to the bottom, so half of it was empty. Overall it wasn't worth the calories and I didn't finish it.

I stopped by Mr. Cow on a Sunday afternoon. Ordering was pretty quick as there was no line. However, waiting for my order did take about 20 minutes. Mr. Cow is located in the Ala Moana food Court so it's guaranteed that it will be noisy and crowded on the weekends. Its always a struggle for me to find open seating at the foodcourt. The exterior of the corn dog was perfectly crispy. I was disappointed with the cheese pull. Most of the cheese was at the bottom. After a couple of bites, the corn dog kept sliding down the skewer.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review, but Mr. Cow is one of my favorite places in the Ala Moana mall food court. Typically, the wait isn't too bad so I'll often opt to grab something here instead of waiting in line at another food station. My go-to is the 1/2 sausage and 1/2 mozzarella with the potato outer layer, and I always opt for the sugar coating. I've ventured outside of my usual order as far as the outer layer and fillings go, but this is my favorite combo by far. So if you're looking for that classic cheese pull, go with the mozzarella. The cheddar is good too, but the cheese pull isn't as great and the flavor is a bit too strong for my liking with this kind of food. Ordering is super easy and usually the fastest part of your experience at Mr. Cow, unless you've got people ordering in front of you who still haven't figured out what they want. Price isn't too crazy, but it's not cheap either--but hey, that's Hawaii nowadays. The food has always been consistent and is always made to order, so you'll always get piping hot food. Even during the car ride home, it's still hot. Overall, I'd recommend if you're in the food court area.

Korean corn dogs are in and they are here to stay! Mr. Cow is a kiosk in the food court at Ala Moana. They have a variety of options for you to customize and make it your way. All cheese, half dog, all dog. Lots of options for inside and outside of your dog! You order and they call your number from the side when ready. They have dipping options but honestly, the dog is good all by itself!

This review is for the staff working on 5/1/24 - around noon.(1) Cashier - so when you're not busy, you have your earphones in and you're playing on your phone? Can I have your job? Try and smile too. No personality.(2) Lady making the hot dogs - you need to get some training on how to make these dogs. I ordered the most basic, basic dog of all. You didn't even have to sprinkle sugar - and it turned out horrible. You dipped the hot dog in the batter too much (or was it super extra thick batter?) You fried it and the that thing was so thick I thought my tooth was going to break. Literally had to crack open the hot dot on a stick to get to the hot dog. I threw out most of the outer coating. By the way, the batter doesn't need to be fried that dark brown. It was over-cooked, over fried. Total diappointment.
