Mountain Magic Shave Ice

Mountain Magic Shave ice is the best shave ice that I have found on the island, and trust me I have been on the hunt for years!! Their ice couldn't get any softer, they have all sorts of flavors that are made in house, not to mention all the toppings. DO NOT SKIMP ON THE TOPPINGS!! I love the ice cream, snow cap, azuki beans, and mochi. Also the sizes are huge. Two people could share a small easily. In my photo I have a small!Every time I am on west sideI make sure to stop here!!

If you're all the way out West, stop by! Giant servings, melt in your mouth, very fruity juices. We tried the lilikoi flavor, which was super nice. The ube snow cap was super creamy and delicious. The mochi was tasty and very plentiful. Generous servings. Some outdoor benches. Lots of parking.

The BEST shave ice!! We been to a lot of shave ice places and let me just say- Mountain Magic Makaha is the VERY BEST!! Ice is so soft, flavors are always tasty!! Friendly workers, great staff, easy location to find, store has a lot of cute things to purchase from tourist to locals. This has been by far one of our most visited places monthly. We literally come here anywhere between 3-5 times a month & our daughters also come here just as much! Highly recommended. Won't be disappointed & guarantee you'll be back!Really is a hidden gem!! Mountain Magic in Makaha is a pretty great place to get shave ice because they have such unique flavors. I tried the lychee cream and the lava flow flavors and I liked the lychee cream a lot. I'd get that again for sure. It's located in a littel shopping plaza, right on the corner, but the trees are kinda blocking it from the street, so just trust your GPS and go slow. It's hard to miss once you're inside the parking lot. The little shop sells other kinda touristy things to buy, but I think most people are coming here for the shave ice. There was a bit of a line when we went, but it moved quickly. You order and pay and pick up at the register. It looks kinda squishy behind the register and the workers weren't very friendly. The ice is soft and I'd be willing to make the drive to try other flavors. If only the workers were a little nicer, I'd ask for flavor suggestions.

I am not sure why in the passed 4 years I have never gone to this wonderful shave ice shop. It's a cute shop with beach merchandise. There are many flavors & the sizes are perfect! The employees are very nice and they are fast workers!

Quick stop over to get shave ice after lunch today. Inexpensive treat. Got the Keiki die shave ice and hat was a lot. Keiki size starts at $4.50. Added vanilla ice cream for $1 and made it a snow cap (sweeten condensed milk on top) for another $1. Friendly service. Store is a little surf and souvenir shop as well with great deals. Was able to snag a seat out front. No need to worry about today.

Serving shaved ice in a drink cup is a bit odd, but it was fine and it worked okay. I had three flavors and they mix together with the tall cup more than in the usual bowl. The texture is among the softest I've tried on Oahu. The price is about average, not the most or the least.

Forgot Matsumoto and come here instead. A little shave ice shop with souvenirs supplies. It is a local and family business shop. The helpers are friendly and willing to assist you with anything. The best part is located next to ocean where yoi can eat while enjoying the scenery. Come and stop by and enjoy your shave ice here.
