Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was top level for sure. I can see why it has the reputation it has. Upper scale all the way. We would comeBack for sure.

Service was perfect! Took my dad for his 80th and it was a table for 8. Our server was great and really embraced helping us pick a variety to try family style so everyone got a bite of everything. Highly recommend if you have a group big enough because every flavor is incredible. Ok... sticky ribs!!!!!Next best was the fish carpaccio and the duck. Steak was wonderful. All in all we had a great experience. Tried lots of different bites and had an amazing time.

I used to watch Iron Chef back in the day, so I just had to check out Chef Morimoto's restaurant here. Love the variety of dishes on their menu and everything looks delicious! They have a very extensive selection of sake, shochu, whisky, wine and cocktails as well. Wish I could've been with a larger party to try more items, but hubby and I tried what we could.Shogun Sidecar: Nikka whisky, Cointreau, lillet and lemon juice. Citrusy and light.Geisha Gimlet: Empress gin, black pepper syrup, cointreau, fresh lime juice and crème de violette. Not too spicy or sweet. Smoked Old Fashioned: elijah craig small batch bourbon, carpano antica formula vermouth, luxardo liqueur, angostura. One of the best old fashioneds I've had and the presentation was impressive.Chef Morimoto's Premium Sake Flight: morimoto junmai, junmai ginjo, junmai daiginjo & sparkling nigori. The taste and quality is noticeably different in each. Duck Caesar Salad: a decent size of fresh mixed greens with a good amount of pieces of duck. Orange and Parmesan went well with the duck.Ishiyaki Buri Bop: I appreciated how they prepared this table side, sizzled the buttery yellowtail against the hot pot and mixed all the ingredients. The rice was crispy and the dish was very flavorful.Ishiyaki A5 Wagyu 3 oz: Okay, for $114, I would've preferred they cooked all the pieces table side, rather than just show us how to cook one piece. We got about 6 pieces and although we cooked them just fine, that would've sucked if we overcooked one. The meat was so juicy and buttery, it just melted in my mouth. Ube Basque Cheesecake: server recommended this over the chocolate sphere that comes out in flames and it was divine! Light, creamy and the lemon cream gave it a nice contrast. There were a few instances of miscommunication and missteps with the service, but overall, we had a positive experience and really enjoyed the drinks and food. I would come back with a larger party! The place has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Yes! Yes! and more Yes! You could say the balcony overlooking the heart of Waikiki is the best in town and you would not be wrong. If value ain't anything you track the food is remarkable. Don't forget your wallet because its best with big groups and that gets the bill rocketing. Everything is beyond great and beyond how good you think it could be. The ribs melt in your mouth and noodles make you swoon. Get the giant chocolate globe they set on fire for desert! I don't love the waygu that comes with its certificate of authenticity and for the astronomical price there are so many more extraordinary things on the menu. I know I said big groups on the balcony are the best but the bar for two ain't shabby and is a cheat code if you forgot to make reservations. I love this place and it is the best a tourist with an expense account can do on Waikiki :)

Growing up I loved Morimoto! So when we visited Oahu, I knew I had to check out his restaurant! But overall decently let down. We made reservations and it was early. We were seated all the way in the back. Not a lot of people were dining so I was annoyed we were no where near the beach views. Staff were ok, no one really went above and beyond. Our waitress didn't engage with us that much. Inside is comfortable and pretty. Menu wise, wow, you pay a lot for a little. We tried a good amount of everything and it was all delicious but left us wanting to go somewhere else for actual dinner. Ordered the orange chicken, dim sum platter, fried rice, and donuts for dessert. Everything is a la carte as well.

Morimoto is worth a photo!! Made reservations for 7:30pm. We had heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. We waited for about 10-15 mins before the waiter came around and when he did he asked us if we had been brought water yet. Our glasses were empty so clearly we weren't. He said he would get the water and right back. He returned quickly and filed our glasses with water and asked if we were ready for drinks. We advised yes we were ready to order drinks. At this point he said he would put the water jug down and come back to take our drink orders. Instead he walked to the table next to us and started taking their food orders. Nonetheless once we got our orders in it was smooth from there. The drinks were good. I had the casual encounters cocktail and it was very refreshing. The food started coming out one by one. The duck came out first and it was to die for. Some of the best duck I have had. Really tasty. Tender. Flavorful. We did order the house fried rice as well which is not pictured but it was also really good. The whole fish came out next. The presentation was great and the fish is deboned which makes it easier to eat. Be careful though there is always some little bones left. The end the evening we tried the Ube Cheesecake. It was decadent and really tasty with the lilikoi and the toasted coconut. If you like Ube you will like this. Overall despite the slow start Morimoto finished strong.

Consistently good. As noted by the name "Asia," you are experiencing something Asia-like. I wouldn't describe it as traditional food, but the quality is reasonably good. The staff is friendly, and I really dining at the lanai. It can get a bit noisy during the evening due to reckless drivers, but I still love the lanai. I recommend this place. As long as you know what you are getting into, you'll enjoy it.

The food and vibe here is unmatched. The food was delicious, every one of the dishes we ordered was really good. Must try: sticky ribs, wagyu fried rice, and the whole branzino was amazing. It was until after we finish our meal that I realized this place is by an Iron chef and it made sense, everything tasted great. Service was good but in the beginning but it took awhile in the end to get our bill and get our payment back. They need more servers on the floor, our server had tables scattered everywhere which made it harder to be attentive to each table. Understandable but still we didn't enjoy sitting there waiting to check out mostly when we have a kid who's inpatient to leave.

Vaguely disappointing. I felt rushed. Sat for 6 p.m. reservation , eating dinner at 6.10, handed dessert menu while still eating dinner at 6.20, out at 6.35. This is probably good for business and probably good for some customers, but I went to Morimoto's to savour a great experience by a great chef, and it was not that, for me.
