Moomin Shop Hawaii

Did you know that Moomins were created by Tove Jansson, who is a Swedish-speaking Finnish writer and illustrator? While my most favorite animal is the hippo, Moomins, the central characteries of these novels, short stories, picture books, and comics, are actually trolls!This Moomin Shop is located at the Ala Moana Center, and their store is filled with various collections, such as apparel, home and kitchen items, mugs, for the bath, bags, accessories, stationery, and even toys.The store itself is super cute and colorful, and everything is well-arranged and organized!The staff are friendly and very helpful, and this place is such a good stop to purchase gifts for others or for yourself!+cute selection of items+located at the Ala Moana Center+plenty of parking

Loved this shop so much, I had to come back on my next trip to Hawaii!!! The shop is so clean and they have so many cute options, it was hard to choose what to get this time I landed on a grumpy moomin hat and I'm in love! I'm not normally a big hat person, but these are such high quality and comfortable hats, not to mention they're adorable, I just couldn't resist! There is definitely something here for everyone!

The Moomin shop is NOT CLOSED. They just moved locations from the top level to level 1 where the food court is. I had a mini heart attack when I checked the original location but you can check a map directory and see where it is. I always come here every vacation to get a cute new hat and see what gifts I can get for friends and family! Also, the workers are always super friendly~

Cute little store with a lot of options. Pay with cash to avoid the 3% credit card fee. Cashier was very friendly and helpful.

I've always been a Moomin fan, so to have a physical store is a great treat. There's various goodies ranging from homeware to clothes and bags. I'd say the prices are not cheap, but it's affordable and occasionally there are sales. The interior is very cute and bright as well. This is the type of store where the sales associate will let you browse freely, so it's a fun place to take photos! Prior to covid there was a little sit down area for kids too.

I'm absolutely obsessed with the Moomin Shop in Hawaii! Everything in the store is beyond adorable--I had the hardest time only picking a few things. I picked up the cutest hat that gets so many compliments every time I wear it. Moomin himself is literally the cutest little guy, every time I look at him I get a spike of dopamine. I feel like there is something for everyone, from youngsters to adults. Also, the ladies running the shop are incredibly sweet and make the experience even better. If you're looking for cute, unique souvenirs, this is the place to go!

I fell in love with this store! In a huge Moomin fan and everything was so adorable. Their hats are the cutest and so comfortable. You can tell everything in there was high quality. They have something for everyone and also make great gifts in my opinion. Must visit again when I'm back!
