Mokulua Surf Co. - Kailua Town

What a great find in Kailua. First time hearing about the brand and touched hearing about how the company came into fruition. I stumbled upon this brand at the sunrise shack not too far from this location, and I liked the simple design of the brand with the mokes, especially the "bird" flying high, which I learned is Pete watching over. The store is quite lovely, and yes got a cute shirt with stickers. I couldn't pass it up. I definitely will be back in this cute lovely town of Kailua, especially at Mokulua.

I recently visited Mokulua Surf Co. in Kailua Town, and it turned out to be the perfect spot to snag some Christmas presents for my family. My brother-in-law, a mainland resident, is a big fan of the unique designs from this clothing company, and now I understand why.Located just off the coast of the breathtaking Lanikai Beach, the Mokulua Islands, affectionately known as the Twin Islands, hold a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. We were done with breakfast and walked by this shop! The clothing selection was unique, a bit in the pricier side but definitely something you can't find somewhere else. Had positive experiences both in the store and from ordering from their website. Before I visited the actual retail store, I'd ordered online and really appreciated the staff contacting me when there wasn't a particular item in stock (a decal) and if I wanted an alternate one instead and the choices, instead of not bothering to contact me at all. And I truly appreciated how I got a reply right away from Baily when I inquired about the fit of a particular tee and the measurements - some places would take days to reply back or won't at all, but the staff here are on top of it! Mahalo!When I was able to visit the retail store for the first time during Feb. 7th, 2020, I was able to try a couple of hoodies on and upon paying for the item, I was helped by Trinity and she was very sweet and pleasant to chat with, she provided excellent customer service! My experience there definitely made me happy that I got to stop by their shop in Kailua (I took The Bus from Ala Moana to get to the store, a nice bus ride compared to what I got used to on the MUNI) and the store was one of the best retail establishments that I got to visit during my week in HI. The tees from this company are so comfortable & soft and I honestly wear them during the majority of the week. Most highly recommend Twin Islands Surf.

Twin Islands is my favorite t-shirt shop in Kailua. I love the logo design which is comprised of the famous Mokulua islands in Lanikai. If you look closely at the logo, you'll also see a bird, which is supposed to represent the owner's twin brother who tragically passed away a few years before this company was launched by the surviving twin brother.Here you'll find locally inspired t-shirts and tanks for men, women, and even keiki. They also have trucker hats and stickers (which are wildly popular). T-shirts are screened on quality material and are priced at $32 for most short-sleeves.

I ordered a tshirt from their website for a gift exchange. I placed the order on May 25, 2017. I waited 4 days and the shirt had not been shipped so I wrote an email. No response. I waited 2 more days and called the shop. The girl who answered told me she didn't handle shipping and to call the owner(?) manager(?), Mike, which I did. No answer, so I left a voicemail asking the status of the order. Again, no response.It has been over a week since my order was placed and it apparently still has not shipped and no one has given me an update, which is incredibly frustrating. I doubt I will order from this store again, unfortunately.

Great store. Every time I go in, I'm greeted with a hello and a big smile. This is my favorite store in Kailua. It doesn't matter why I go in, I always leave with something. The first time I walked in, after moving to Kailua, I just needed directions and I walked out with something (as well as directions). Everything is priced well and of great quality. I make sure to take all of my guests here.

I met Mike Miller (owner) shortly after he started TI and it's been really cool to see the company flourish. Especially since he's such a local icon in Kailua, growing up with his twin brother Peter who both competed in professional surfing and became pilots. Really cool styles and always the softest fabrics! Bailey (his wife who runs the business) is amazing as well. Full of good energy and also an amazing long boarder. Check them out!

What a great shop. From tee shirts and hats to coffee mugs and car decals. Twin Islands is a must stop for tourists as well as locals. Super friendly staff. I'll definitely be stopping by when I get back to Kialua.

Loved this place. The guy working was really friendly and made the place have a great feel. We got shirts and a sticker. The both are amazing. The fabric on the shirts is super soft and comfy. The sticker seems to be really great quality and VERY sticky. Doubt it's ever coming off my hydro.
