Not a good spot for swimming, but pretty quiet even on the weekend. Great place to relax on the beach, but you'll cut up your feet if you get in that water.

This beach park is an ideal stop for locals and tourists alike. It features tons of parking and is perfect for a number of outdoor activities. I came here for a quick photo session with my siblings for the first time and it was amazing. Our photographer said this location is ideal during sunrise and sunset hours, and with the grassy/mountain views, its really great for all types of photoshoots. On this visit, we saw at least 3 other groups taking photos. I think 2 were couple shoots and the other was a product shoot for clothing. For activities, we saw swimmers, sun bathers, families enjoying kite flying (excellent Kona winds!) and even some fishing. Surfing, windsurfing and snorkeling seem to also be popular activities to do here.

After checking out Ka'ena point we stopped here to watch the sunset and hangout. It was a great spot with not many people! Plenty of parking and there were two portapotties as well.
