Interesting rocks in an otherwise well manicured grassy area!
Not good for walking but there are hiking trails
Wonderful canopy trees and wide open grassy area!

Nice, well kept neighborhood park at the absolute end of Moanalua Valley Road. No baseball fields. No soccer fields. No basketball courts. Just a small playground with updated kids equipment on a soft asphalt foundation. There's one picnic table/bench and a sign directing people to a trail head.I was looking for another place to walk with Sofie and while this park is beautifully manicured it's not a place to walk whether human or animal. Dogs are allowed, I'm assuming for a short game of fetch on the grass or on the hiking trail. I saw no signs displayed telling you your dog must be on a leash. There are nice restroom facilities that are clean and not abused. The entire park is well maintained. No homeless sleeping in cars as we see in most parks, no piles of belongings that go with them. The parking lot is small with perhaps ten spaces. A remarkable and pleasant place to perhaps enjoy a lunch or family dinner with small kids.

Enjoyed a late 2pm KauKau plate lunch under the canopy of trees. Cool breezes gently cooled our eating area. There are 2 tables and a covered "patio" area next to the restrooms. Today was exceptional as we were the only ones enjoying the park, besides the birds. There is a small parking lot. There is a basketball and tennis court. The exercise area is closed of as of 9/17 for renovations. The children's play area is open. The restrooms even have soap. There is a water fountain outside.

First time here and it's beautiful. It's a quaint park with a view of the mountains and surrounding houses. The park area is well kept with a few picnic tables available for eating. There are some great trees that offer nice shady spots if you'd rather have a blanket down. Behind the park is a trail leading to a great hike. The trail is straightforward with some mud but mostly rocky, not good for strollers if you have a baby. There is also a playground near the grassy area. Part of it is taped off, not sure if it's broken or under construction which is why I gave this place a 4-stars, once it's fixed I'd change to a 5 just because it's a perfect little get away from the busy city life and my son loves running around in the nicely trimmed grass.

BY FAR MY FAVORITE HIKE! I have little sausage dogs so they can't do too much hiking that there is on this island but this one was a perfect and easy one for them. I'm definitely making this a weekly hike.

If you need a basketball hoop or a tennis court this may be a good hidden spot for you. It also is a good place to bring your plate lunch for a little picnic. It's a quiet park because at the end of the valley. If after your picnic you want to take the hike it is nearby. As for equipment, the exercise area and the playground needs help. Also just beware of the mosquitoes.

Okay, let me tell you pesky kids a few things about Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park. Sure, it's a great place to bring your family for a picnic, or to play on the playground equipment. You can come with your buddies and play basketball if you like. Take a drink of cool water while out on your run or bike ride. Do a few chin-ups/set-ups/push-ups on the provided gym equipment. All of this is fine. But this is a neighborhood park in a quiet neighborhood, so KEEP IT DOWN! No alcohol is allowed. No dope smoking either. You crazy kids! And the park closes at 7pm. That means the gate closes at 7pm as well. If your car is inside the gate at 7:01pm, you're going to have to dial 911 and ask the police to let you out. I know this because I've seen it happen many times. It's hilarious!Speaking of the police; in this aforementioned quite neighborhood, there is a crotchety old man who will not hesitate to call them if you decide to loiter at or in front of the park after hours. I know this because I have done ...er... I mean... I have seen it done many times. So follow the rules and enjoy Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park. If you do, I'm sure this cantankerous old man will leave you alone.

Never been and wanted to take my daughter to a place that she hasn't been yet. After looking for places on Yelp, we came across this one. Reading the reviews we thought this was the place to go. It wasn't too far from us, only about 15 mins. The park needs a bit of upkeep, maybe some new paint and sanding down some of the rust. I thought it would be bigger. There were many mosquitos there, so make sure that you bring your repellant. If not, you will be sorry in a few days. we only stayed about ten mins and went to another park that we actually both enjoyed.

Part Three in my "Moanalua-A-Day" Series, exploring the fun finds and history of my neighborhood. If you drive the entire extent of Ala Aolani Street, Moanalua Valley's main artery, you will end at Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park. This park is the famous starting point of the Moanalua Valley Trail. It's a peaceful setting that boasts two nicely paved basketball courts, a set of clean restrooms, two drinking fountains and nearby faucets, a covered pavillion, an exercise and stretch station and a keiki jungle gym. There are also two picnic tables for those that want to just relax and enjoy the day in this shady park. Parking is limited, however you can park outside on the street in the neighborhood. This is usually one of my hydration stations along my long runs of the valley or the trail. A rather nice option for a picnic or to get some fresh air. Very keiki freindly. Come enjoy!#Yelp 365: 007/365

This place has a covered tennis court which is great for those extra hot days, they also have 2 outdoor courts and 2 walls where you can play tennis by yourself. It also has a basketball court, a playground and picnic area and my favorite is the dog park! The only bad part is that the place can get crowded fast and some people don't watch their kids!
