Moana Sushi

Sushi at reasonable prices! My parents brought some sushi takeout from here which included Cali rolls and mixture of cone sushi and maki rolls. Sushi is pretty good!

Brunch in Honolulu, Hawaii...I was roaming the clean, air-conditioned Makai Market Food Court at Ala Moana Center when I spotted Moana Sushi. It's one of the kiosk-type of vendors near the Auntie Anne's side of the Food Court (Diamond Head direction), next to the Honolulu Cookie Company kiosk.The products were protected with a roll-up plastic covering that kept the refrigerated items cool. The cashier opened up one side of the display, and I selected the Summer Rolls. At first, I thought that the price was a bit high. However, after I dipped into the sweet chili sauce and took a bite, I discovered that this is not the typical Summer Roll... because it had imitation crab and avocado in it! Wow! It tasted super wonderful, and I wished that I had gotten more than one container!

This place is located at the Makai Market Food Court. It's convenient as they have all their sushis premade, so you can just grab and go. Their sushi is ok. I'd rank them mid range with the likes of Ninja Sushi. Actually, the type of ahi I got here was the exact type that Ninja gave me. It wasn't of a high grade. Pass on the nigiri. The Crunchy Shrimp Tempura Roll was much better. The shrimp was firm and the tempura flakes and fried onions gave it a crunch. I liked the mix of the spicy drizzle along with the unagi drizzle.

Quick and easy lunch for my toddler = 2 thumbs up for me!!Did a quick stroll through of the food court and was a bit bummed that we couldn't find any sushi options. Thankfully, Moana Sushi was located off to the far corner in a kiosk and must have been overlooked during my initial walk-through. Meals are essentially pre-made and packaged for prompt service but there was a sign stating "ROLL IT YOUR WAY" as an option. Everything looked pretty fresh and things were presented neatly. 3.5 stars. For sushi that's been premade, I felt like the costs were higher than it really needed to be but I am thankful MS was here to satisfy my child's cravings.

OK sushi.... Especially in the evening. Not quite fresh anymore so sometimes they have bogo before closing. The seasoning, flavor and the rice were OK. I think nijiya might have better stuff. Don't think I'll return...

Moana Sushi is located in the Ala Moana Food Court across Mr. Cow. The easiest place to get good quality sushi in the mall. They are grab and go with a pretty decent variety of rolls. The staff is normally pretty friendly, it's self serve so most times you won't need any help but in the event that you do they are there to assist!

Came here at my friend's suggestion. The prices are a little high, but the quality was good. Lots of the same California roll with different toppings (avocado, unagi, spicy tuna, crispy onions, etc. Rice was nice and soft, not hard even though they were in the fridge. Right in the middle of the top section of the food court. The sashimi was fresh and not fishy tasting/old. Would definitely come back if I'm looking for quick sushi on the go that's good quality.

Had the salmon nigiri- fresh fish- rice was cooked right- not bad for food court sushi!
