if i could give 6 stars I would!! this is the best and freshest sushi I have ever eaten in my life, even compared to restaurants in japan. came on a thursday night and it was pretty empty for our whole meal, so service was quick. it's byob so come prepared! they bring you a small table on the side and buckets if you need to keep anything chill. the aloha platter is an all time fave, with the perfect combo of ahi, salmon, hamachi, and unagi. it's pricey, but totally worth the money. we also got oysters (not worth getting again, they're better on the mainland tbh) and a couple of rolls which were good but not as stunning as the platters. i'm recommending Mitch's to all my friends that visit from now on!

Do not be fooled by the outer appearance of this gem. You go in and it's literally a fish market sushi place lol Excellent and quick service, super fresh sashimi, and great ambiance for families and big groups. Definitely going back!

I have eaten a lot of sushi since I live I live in Seattle, this is the freshest most delicious I've had. My sister said all other sushi is ruined after eating this. It was absolutely amazing. This place is a whole in the wall off the beaten path but worth finding! I highly recommend trying it out.

Favorite sushi spot in Hawaii! Always the freshest and best quality fish and shellfish. Not usually a raw salmon fan except at Mitch's. Cannot go wrong with the King Salmon. So buttery! This is what we ordered for our party of 6. Cost a small fortune but so worth it! Staff very friendly and helpful when ordering. And byob is a nice touch too!

First stop as we head out of the airport and on our way to Waikiki. We've been here once before and we vowed to make it a priority on our next trip.Mitch's is not far from the airport, hence it makes sense to stop on the way in or the way out. In a sort of warehouse district, which makes parking easier. Had a reservation for lunch when they opened on a weekday. Probably didn't need it but better safe than sorry. The fish here is of the highest quality, as if they just plucked it from the ocean. Some of it is straight from Japan. There are many options. You can't go wrong with any. Decor is minimalist, but Japanese in feeling. Service is efficient. Prices are on the higher side, but fair for the quality. I will continue to keep Mitch's on the top of my list and make it a priority on my way in or out of Honolulu International. It's BYOB, so if that's important - make sure to bring your own.

Excellent service, super fresh seafood. We had their omakase and a couple dozen raw oysters. Started off with the spicy salmon which was nice and silky. Then the sashimi plate came out. The otoro was buttery and delicious. The nigiri plate didn't disappoint. The raw New Zealand oysters came out super cold and was really sweet. The service was superb. Our server came to check on us and made sure our waters were filled.

I've been to Mitch's Sushi many times and it is a treat. The fish is very good and fresh, but also pricey. I took my son and his wife to dinner as a Christmas present and they were really looking forward to it. I forgot to take pictures of everything we ordered, probably because it looked so good I couldn't wait to eat. Anything you order here is great. I've brought relatives from Tokyo here when the wanted omakase and they were impressed. I guess I'll have to return again and try not to forget taking pics. I don't know if they still have the lobster head miso soup anymore because my daughter in law was served shrimp head miso, oh well still good.

Overall a disappointing experience. My party of 4 dined here and two of us ended up being very ill from food poisoning after our meal. We ordered the Mitches namesake platter and a combination platter and the two that ate from the Mitches namesake platter were the ones who got sick. Now I know that anytime you eat sushi you have the risk... but when you pay more than $1000 for a meal I consider that risk to not even be an option. This is unacceptable and despite everything tasting good it is not enough to come back here personally. This will be my last time dining at Mitches.
