Mio Pastalogy

This is a perfect HOMEMADE FRESH pasta option! Better yet, it's affordable and delicious! Starting at the counter, I was a bit confused for a moment since there are two restaurants inside. Here for pasta? Go to the right side. Here for the Katsu go to the left. Here for bread or baked goods; they have that too! My son built his own pasta meal, white sauce and added bacon and olives which were a hit for him. We ordered the bolognese to both try and I ordered the pomodoro sauce. All of it delicious. The inside is clean and bigger than I had expected. They also have a couple tables outside. The woman who took our order was awesome. And patient. She helped me pick out some bread to take home to my family as well. The garlic bread is a meal alone. It was so delicious. I cannot wait to be close by again and eat again!

First time here. Lots of FREE PARKING. They are know for the FRESH HANDMADE PASTA.I approached the counter to ask about the popular items. Rika was working the front and explained everything. She helped me to choose what I would order. I decided on the most popular item which is the Shoyu Butter Linguine with Bacon, Mushrooms & Spinach. After placing my order I was observing all the other items they offer. They also have a bakery and plate lunches. I headed to the dining area and found a table to sit at. I helped myself to the complimentary water. Rika brought my food to me. The pasta was cooked perfectly chewy. The sauce was light and tasty. I look forward to trying another dish on my next visit.

Updated review for Mio Pastalogy ( great name btw) on the corner of McCully Street and Young Street in McCully. It's been a few years since ordering from this Japanese owned restaurant - Maisen is the parent company. They share the space with sister company, Dell Kitchen and Bakery.Instead of ordering online...went in and requested a pasta bowl. Very affordable at $10, approximately.I decided to buid my own pasta bowl: Pappardelle, aglio e olio, poached egg, and parmesean. Tried it without the parmesean and it was fine as is...some unexpected spice from chili pepper but not spicy in the unbearable sense.Quite delicious and a bargain for a decent portion.Service is friendly and efficient. I didn't wait much more than ten minutes...I came after the lunch riush, so that helped.Dining area is open and spacious...there is even an outside table.Parking lot and street parking are available.

Mio Pastalogy shares the kitchen with Dell Kitchen and Bakery. Ordered the Mentaiko pasta - the pasta was all dente and the flavor of the mentaiko sauce was good. Had to purchase a salt roll so I could sop up that sauce. The Mentaiko Potato roll was maybe a bit too much with the sauce. The pasta was reasonably priced and probably just the right portion. Also purchased a coffee pan as they mentioned it was one of the popular ones. The pan was soft and the coffee custard wasn't too sweet. The coffee flavor also came through. I liked it.

Love this place and and I only needed to come here once to realize it! The pasta is cooked al dente and the breads are baked fresh.Parking can be kinda tricky if you come during the busy lunch hour. You basically serve yourself. The restaurant is connected to Dell's. There is a place to dump your scraps and put your plates, cups, and utensils.

Mio Pastalogy is a great concept of a restaurant. It offers you the ability to customize pasta your way, not only that but it offers unique blend of japanese and italian flavors. Its a place you can go back to a couple times to try something new or if you've already found a winning just go back for the familiar. For this unique ability to customize i would have thought they would upcharge for the service but the prices are actually fairly reasonable.

I crave the mentaiko pasta here about once a month. Fresh, handmade pasta with creative Japanese fusion toppings (eg mentaiko is kind of like carbonara). Pasta dishes are about $11-14 depending on the toppings. Everything is made to order so call ahead if you're in a rush.

The pasta and the pastry's are amazing here. We get the rigatoni with tomato cream sauce and the baguettes with mushroom and béchamel. We have taken the pastry's as gifts for friends and family and everyone is always blown away with how soft and tasty everything is.

Friendly and patient staff ready to take order. Lots of choices for pasta and sauces to make many combinations! The pesto was very light, but I personally love the bolognese. Open seating and parking lot has lots of spots.
