As a 21yo female student, I was looking for 3 things in a trainer: a safe environment, simple system for beginners, and affordability. Mike and MBF fulfilled all of those requirements from the get-go.I messaged Mike through his website and he texted me the same day to schedule a consultation. When I arrived, he made sure I felt comfortable before we even discussed my goals, which is SO important to me. He also took my college student budget into consideration when helping me choose my package, which helps so much. His warm, motivational energy had me ready to start the next week! I would've started that day except I didn't have much to eat. That's another thing I love about Mike - he pushes you, but also listens when you're not feeling great. He never jeopardizes your safety to rush things or try gimmicky exercises.I hated exercise my entire life up until I started here. His system is simple and starts with slow changes, which made it so much easier for me to adopt it without falling off. He helps you with diet, at-home exercises and is always available through text to answer questions. With the skills he's taught me, I've seen changes in my appearance and strength at only 6 weeks in! I have to admit in the beginning I was a little skeptical about the idea of starting strength and conditioning training in general but after meeting Mike and being invited to his house to try a session out, I was instantly hooked. I loved the warm homey feel to everything and Mike was unbelievably knowledgeable about so many different avenues of the body. Who better to review a personal trainer than another Personal trainer ? I know a few things . I've had my own training business since 1993 and have seen trainers , studios and gyms come and go . I purchased a $17 Crowd Savings deal for 2, 30 minute personal training sessions, which, in my opinion is a phenomenal deal, regardless of the service! Most personal training sessions range from 45$-90$/hour! I was a bit skeptical about the services considering I had gotten such a good deal, but was pleasantly surprised when I met Mike with Mint Body Fitness. The gym is kitty corner from the humane society underneath a store called, Lighthaus Camera, there's a large sign on the right hand side of the road for Lighthaus Camera, turn right there and there's plenty of parking.The gym is relatively small, but seems to have all the necessary equipment (a couple of treadmills, an elliptical machine, lots of different weight sets and benches, TRX setup, pullup bar, boxing bag, etc.), and really, you don't need a lot of equipment to get a good workout. The gym is clean and air conditioned; there isn't a a locker room, but they have a bathroom you can change in if you're coming from work.During my first appointment, Mike talked with me about what my goals were, what my current fitness routine was, and the areas I would like to target before we started the workout. My goal was to lose 10 pounds and tone and tighten all over. We started with various back-strengthening moves, worked on arms a bit, then did a core circuit with 5 different exercises. I really liked all of the exercises he came up and it was nice to have somebody motivating me to finish strong and not cheat myself out of reps, which, I sometimes do when I'm working out alone. We did quite a few exercises and he worked with me for almost an hour even though my coupon was only for a half hour.My second appointment was equally good and was almost an hour as well. He came up with a hardcore, TRX circuit targeting my core, which was really challenging, but what I need if I wanna whip my bod into shape! We did some shoulder, arm, and butt exercises as well using free weights and the machines. Both times there were two-three other people training in the gym with their personal trainers. It was a little tight at times, but we had enough space for what we needed to do. The package Mike discussed with me was an 11 week session with personalized workouts and nutritional counseling for $500, meeting 2 times per week. Overall, I had a great experience with Mint Body Fitness, I liked the gym, Mike was very personable, and he came up with great, unique exercises that targeted the areas I specified, would definitely recommend! I have a wedding coming up in September and will hopefully be signing up with Mike to get me into wedding-dress shape.

I am 70 years old and started with Mike a year ago. I was weak, walking unstable, overweight and unable to participate in activities that i had before. As i searched for someone to get me back on track, most of the trainers dealt with younger generation. I was a member of 24HR Fitness but i felt their programs did not fit me well. What caught my interest in Mike that he had clients of all ages, even older than myself. Best choice i ever made - he adjusts the workout routines to fit me and as i progressed over the year. Very professional and genuinely cares for you. Keeps me motivated to where i am my old self again. Enjoying life better! I plan to keep him part of my weekly routine well into the future. When I start the session with him, my body had so much fat. However, I continued his section once a week. After 6 months, my body was big changed. I got loose so much weight. He is so kind and cheers me up. I high recommend his session. Much personal training is that price is high. That is one reason people can't keep training for long. Also, too much pushing training doesn't fit someone who doesn't have motivation yet, and maybe get tired and give up. His training is nothing all of those. He understands each person's skills and personality, and step by step, he gives his training list. I will advise you. Believe yourself! And when you start to lose weight, your life is a significant change, and your motivation is growing up than before. I will keep training with him until my goal.

Mike is a great trainer! He keeps you motivated while also not discouraging you. He also teaches the basics of movements to make sure you're getting the best workout for what your body can do, so you can get the best results possible. All of the workouts are tough, but doable for your level. Definitely recommend!
