Ming's Canton Food

Lunch from Pearl Highlands Market (food court), O'ahu, Hawaii...I happened to be at Pearl Highlands Center on a Tuesday to get my free gift from T-Mobile and to return my aunty's modem to Spectrum. I browsed the food court and decided to order from Ming's Canton Food.The set-up is similar to Panda Express: decide on how many entrées you want and select a side. I chose Chow Funn for my side and got two entrées: orange chicken and green beans with pork. Service was efficient and polite! They opened the takeout box for me and let me take a photo before I left. Portions were generous! Flavor was tasty! Presentation was great! Everything was fresh and delicious! I'll be back when I'm in the area again! I appreciate the shared free parking and clean, air-conditioned, indoor dining area!

Roast pork really fatty and oily. The bag got soaked with all the oils from the container. Had to transfer it from the original take out container to another one.I had to pan fry it to reduce all the fat. Not worth $17.99/lb

I have been a customer to Ming's for many years and I adore them. The food is amazing, I LOVE their cake noodle! They are always kind, professional, and friendly. They are located in a food court so, family friendly, can be a little loud but it's a pretty average atmosphere for a food court. I will keep going there however long they exist.

I kept seeing that Mings was a lot of locals favorites. I also now see what people say by ths steep price. It was $50 for all 3 of us... I wasn't that impressed honestly. The mini plate of mushroom chicken was loaded up and my mom really liked it. The duck was silky and rich, great flavor. Everything was just super greasy though and didn't have much flavor. I didn't like the gravy on the side either. I think it was just rendered down duck fat? The roast pork and char siu wasnt bad. Roast pork was SO salty but it was flavorful and fell apart. Again, super fatty and greasy. Glad I tried it but probably won't be back.

Located in Pearl Highlands Center food court. Ordered its "Three Star Rice Plate" which has char siu, roast pork, a fried chicken thigh, and some cabbage. Skin of the roast prok was a bit on the hard-chewy side, but falvor is good. Fried chicken thigh was perfect. Char siu was probably my least favorite. It's glistering red, fatty and missing pork falvor. Unsure if it was done in purpose, my cabbage was unslated and bitter.Pickup only, no delivery service. I would give it another try and order something else in the future.

Definitely the best Chinese plate lunch I've had in over 10 years! I've been to Ming's countless times, but have never left a review or uploaded pics. I was always on the go, so leaving a review never came to mind. The plate that did it for me was the Oyster Sauce Chicken & Charsiu Cake Noodle -- not on the menu, but I ordered it and they provided with no hassle. This plate was soooo packed with flavor... sort of at the verge of "salty," but I'll take that over bland and lifeless, any day!! The chicken was moist and crispy, and the charsiu was perfectly soft and glazed - not dry AT ALL, by the way. The portion of noodles underneath was plentiful as well. Impossible to see the noodles in the pic since they got covered by the proteins and sauce, but trust me, it was just the right amount and you could tell everything was fresh. Only thing I'd make note of is that they open at 10am, but all the ready-made dishes for their 1-3 choice plates aren't ready til about 11am. Service is nice and friendly tho, so if there's something you're okay with waiting for, just let the staff know. Next time I go back, I plan to order the Three Star Rice Plate. Kinda funny cuz I only like 'Five Star Plates', but the reason for this being Three Star is because it's a mix of the popular 3 proteins over rice - charsiu, roast pork, oyster chicken. Looks so good!Enjoy :)

Ordered their charsui and roast duck combo plate with rice. Charsui was pretty fatty but duck wasn't too bad. Overall not bad.

Headed in the food court at Pearl city highlands.... I got ginger chicken and it was very big. I got half-and-half with fried rice and noodles. The fried noodles is like the flavor of the nostalgic "Manapua Man Truck". The sauce as you know makes the ginger chicken!! Sooooo good!! I love the option of the fried rice! And it was not oily at all!We also got the roast duck and chicken over crispy noodles ! Whoa!! so tasty!! Definitely will have to come here again!! They have many choices of plate lunches and assortment of drinks (fountain/ bottle/cans)So much food in each of the 2 plates - enough for 4 + people

Yes! My favorite place for my won ton min! Don't let this small place fool you! I crave this Gem on a daily! Great Service too! Is it lunch time yet? ;p

Located in the pearl highlands shopping center (Above Sams club) in the food court. My Dad and Mom love this place.Its just a food counter in a food court. You basically order your food and find your own seat.The menu has your usual chinese food fare and some other entries. Their prices are decent not high or low ...fair for the portion size. The staff is your typical nice but just want to get their job done kind of vibe.The food is tasty and a fair value and a definite option when in this foodcourt.
