If I could give zero stars I would. I can I only say that I really feel bad for Pat because he seems nice. Kathleen is the one who really runs the business and she is not so pleasant to deal with. Her emails are all cut and paste unless you are getting to see her true nature. Like another reviewer, we experienced a stressful nightmare. She was curt when I called her on the phone. The contract clearly states that if there is an epidemic, any and all monies would be returned to client. She said "that's a matter of opinion" and refused to honor it. She did, however, state that they would gladly reschedule. Mind you, it was a destination wedding and now we can't quite get there. But regardless, who would actually want to do business with her now? Again, Pat seemed pretty nice when I spoke with him on the phone originally, but that's not who you are doing business with. I even had said that we wanted to make a $100 donation to the HSPCA but all I got in return was a negative attitude and a bad taste in my mouth. Save yourself the trouble and do not enter into a contract with Miller DJ. Donate money to help the animals if you want, but don't expect best business practices if you're looking for a DJ & MC.

Bad business! Worse experience! Wedding got canceled in May due to lock down because of the covid -19 and they are not willing to give me any refund ! I can't postpone because I will be off island they are not negotiating anything with me and takes forever to email! They do not answer my phone calls or text messages! I do not recommend to anyone!

Pat did a great job keeping the pricing affordable. He did not charge us extra for every microphone, which was one of the reasons I chose his service. Most of his profits go to animal shelters. His reception dance music and uplighting was very nice, I enjoy looking back at the photos and videos.Here are some disappointments: he was disorganized and late for our initial meeting in town, also late for the rehearsal. He took a long time setting up the sound equipment for the rehearsal. Our families and bridal party were waiting under the scorching sun while he went back to his car to look for some cords. He also could not find the music list and blamed it on his wife. He did't bother to look at the list until the rehearsal. He found it eventually, but forgot to play the groom's procession song that I requested during the rehearsal and the ceremony and played music in the wrong order even though my MC and coordinator gave him instructions. I also felt that every time I talk with him, he doesn't listen until I'm finished with the sentence and keeps interrupting while I'm still talking. But even with those flaws, my husband and I are satisfied overall with our limited budget.

Pat Miller is the best guy for this job. He is great with communication, easy to work with. Kathy Miller will communicate great with you also. Any questions you have or do not understand she will answer them and if not forward them to Pat. I got married last month and needed him for music, and sound. He provided me with everything I needed. In every part of my wedding that I needed a microphone, or a simple song that was not in his music list he provided whatever I wanted. He uses a great system on line and has a wide variety of music. If you want an accurate service provided to you and need extra accessories added to your wedding or event, Pat Miller is the person you want to talk to. Thank you Pat

Planned our wedding from the mainland. So happy we came across Pat Miller. Him and his wife are a blessing. They were so easy to communicate with and listened to everything we wanted. Pat also came all the way out to the north shore for our rehearsal to make sure the music was timed right for our ceremony. He played what we wanted, exceeded our expectations, and was an amazing MC. Thank you for everything.

We were considering doing a Spotify playlist for our wedding day and we are SO glad we decided to go with Pat and Kathleen!! They brought all of the equipment necessary including multiple sound systems (for each part of our day), mics, light system, and even a keyboard for our pianist - not to mention running the reception as the MC. Pat was easygoing, helpful, and confident in his work from the start. It is clear that he is very experienced and comfortable in emceeing weddings: we inputted our wedding day timeline, requested songs/type of music for each event in the day, and special notes and requests in his online portal, and he ran with it. He ran our reception smoothly and on time, and our guests were comfortable and entertained. He even helped field some last minute requests and changes. We had a few hiccups with our sound cutting out twice at the start of the dance floor, but he covered it over smoothly in the moment.Huge perk that they are so affordable, and all of the proceeds go to the Hawaii SPCA!

The prices were the lowest I could find at the time. He was able to set up the mic and speakers before our wedding ceremony and made sure everything was working. He then had to setup inside the ballroom. The lights and sounds were all working fine. We also ordered a screen and projector through him because it was cheaper than going through the venue. They were able to play the slideshow just fine. He was very flexible with the last minute changes to the schedule. Pat is super nice, professional, and easy to work with. I would definitely consider booking him for our next event.

We hired Miller DJ for our 9/8/12 wedding at Lanikuhonua, which proved to be the best decision we could have made. He made it a point to come to our rehearsal so that he could make sure he got the timing down just right. (Bonus points!) And then on our wedding day, it poured torrential rains during the middle of our processional. Pat got completely soaked, but kept going like a real trouper. We eventually had to stall the ceremony, but he was ready to go when we were. Then we had to rearrange some things in the program due to the weather delay and he was so flexible and accommodating. Our emcee said that Pat was so easy to work with, which made everything run smoothly. Pat even made a beautiful monogram light for us that shone on our tent throughout the night. I designed it and he replicated exactly so it fit perfectly with the theme of our wedding. I would definitely recommend DJ Miller -- they really came through for us by providing such excellent service.
