Mike Ching Magic

Mike came to our event on April 28th 2019 and it was at the Mai Tai bar in Ala Moana center. The event was a supposed to be a family event but we didn't have much for the kids scheduled. Mike came as a strolling magician and delighted both kids and adults alike with his quick wit and slight of hand. I would recommend Mike Ching Magic for anyone that wanted that something extra for the whole family. It's very rare to find an entertainer that works for all ages. Mike Ching is that person.

I actually first saw Mike Ching by accident when on youtube, there was a video of him making a girl float in the middle of a restaurant! Since then, I have been seeing his name all over town, and it seems just about everyone on the island has been hiring him to perform at their parties. He does those tricks that make you stand there with your mouth open for 5 minutes. I had a chance to talk to him and I was really impressed. Besides the fact that he made my fork disappear into thin air lol! He has been doing magic since he was 6 and he doesn't just do magic but designs sets and props, and is a total expert on how to dress like Santa which he takes very seriously. He said that it hurts a kids feelings if a Santa looks bad, so he always wants to make sure to be the BEST santa EVER! He also said it isn't that hard, that for $5 you can go to Longs and get what you need that it just takes a little effort. I just thought that was really cool that he cares about kids that much that it makes him mad to see BAD SANTAS lol. He was really upset when he talked about Santas who don't take pride in their appearance and character! I would definitely hire him for my kids party and actually would hire him to consult on any event I did because he knows just about everything there is to know about having an event in Hawaii and the vendors to hire etc. I think he could save you a lot of headaches and a small fortune if you hired him to consult on your event.

Thank you so much for being available for my grandson's first birthday on August 10, 2019! I was very intrigued about his "Strolling Magic" option on his website and it turned out to be perfect for what I was looking for. We had a small party and a couple of awesome activities for the kids but Mike was perfect for the kids AND ADULTS too! My guests were mesmerized by his amazing skills and entertained by his wittiness. Mike is very professional, his website is very organized, he's an amazing entertainer and you and your guests will love that you added this MAGIC MIKE to the entertainment!

I found Mike Ching online when I was scrambling for a magician to add to the entertainment line up for my daughter's first birthday. I contacted him a few days before the birthday party, hoping he would be able to put something together. He did an absolutely AMAZING job!!! It was last minute notice for him but he was still able to put on a fabulous show! Everyone loved his walking magic (he went around to various guests and did one on one magic tricks) AND he did a full show in addition to that! He was so nice, and very personable, and entertaining! The show was a hit, everyone enjoyed it, kids and adults!! I was so thrilled to have him at the party, and can't wait to have him at the next party!

Mike was awesome! He was hilarious and the kids couldn't get enough of his tricks and balloons! Adults loved him too! I am so happy I hired him for my son's 1st birthday party! You will not be disappointed!

I'm so glad I booked Mike! Wanted to add entertainment to my son's first birthday party so I scoured through yelp reviews looking for something for both kids and adults to enjoy. Came across Mike Ching's reviews and booked him based on his yelp rating! He was professional and efficient while talking to him over the phone and through email. Not to mention his website gave me a clearer understanding of what services he offered. On the day of the event he arrived about 45-min before the start of the party. He set up his own backdrop which added a more festive look to our stage. He provided strolling magic and I'm going to call it a "variety" show. He had my guest laughing in amazement from the start to finish. He also kept my guest informed of activities and other performances throughout the party with his "lite-emcee" service he offered free with the purchase of an entertainment package. The kicker was the "balloon surprise finale". He had all "60-something" children and even adults running around chasing balloons. Thank you Mike. My son's party wouldn't have been such a success without you!

Mike was so helpful at our School PTA Annual Fun Fair.We contacted Mike at the last minute and asked if he could help us out by entertaining the children and families. He took time out of his schedule to entertain the children and families as a gift to the community.We really appreciated that the children who might normally not get a chance to see a real Magician were able to experience the laughter, amazement, excitement, and the anticipation of every trick he performed with his awesome talent, skills, and humor ! ! !EVERYONE enjoyed his Magic and loved the Balloon Characters. Such a Talent and such a BIG Heart.Thank you Mike for everything and especially for withstanding the HEAT while performing in the HOT sun ! You are Awesome !

My Aunty hired Mike Ching for my son's first birthday party. At first I was a little hesitant and didn't want a magician but let me just say 'he took the party to a whole new level!!! He was entertaining and funny! Kids and adults alike were having fun and laughing. His magic routine is good for the kids and his comedy routine is entertaining for the adults! He does this balloon activity at the end of the show which just topped it all off. I am so glad my Aunty hired him and I would suggest him to anyone looking for a memorable party! Thanks Mike!!!

I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but just had to because Mike just recently did my son's first birthday party. He was awesome! Very professional, showed up an hour early to set up and talk story with us to say hi and figure out our plans and ideas for the party. Very accommodating, did balloons for the kids a little longer to make sure that every kid that wanted them got them. We had him do the classic show and the kids had the biggest smiles and looks of awes on their faces. He did a great job of getting the adults and crowd participating as well to keep things funny. The feedback from the people that came to the party said he was terrific. Saw his show before, but he keeps adding new routines to his show as well to keep things interesting and fun. So, if you want someone professional, funny, good for kids and adults, and keeps things fresh, Mike is your man. Highly recommended!
