It was a great deal and great food until the owners got greedy and raised all items 60-80%.On Taco Tuesday they had $5 margaritas,now $8.$5-16 shots of tequila out of a $15 bottle brought them back $80. They weren't happy with that.Instead, they insisted on $8 a shot out of the same $15 bottle, bringing them back $128.Pure Greed, one of 7 deadly sins!!I feel bad for all the great employees, we're going to miss them, alot!!

Service was great.Margarita tasted like slushy water, we had to keep licking the salted rim to taste anything,.I asked about my favorite, Menudo Soup, the waiter said it was good, when it arrived, it looked good, especially with the fresh sides, onions, cilantro, lime, oregano, etc... but one bite, it was sooooo, soooo salty that all you could taste was salt. you couldn't even taste the menudo, the flavor of the rich broth, all you could taste was the salt, salt and salt. I told the waiter and he said he would tell the " chef" , I doubt there is a Chef in that cocina! If i weren't a guest at the table, I would have sent the drink and the Menudo back, instead I licked the salt off the margarita glass and took the soup home to add tomato sauce.Also, crossed the restaurant off my list.

Was okay, tortilla chips too thick and overcooked with old. Salsa was watered down. Enchiladas so - so. Chimichanga was good. Mushroom appetizer was great. Service was good, friendly. Wanted to try this place since I had a craving for Mexican food. The inside is pretty and has nice decoration. Got to try the grande burrito which is pretty big with chicken and beef in it, and also comes with a side salad. It was pretty good, wish it had more seasoning on it because unfortunately it was a bit bland. It is a bit expensive but it is also a bit burrito, I had leftovers for another night. The chips also are an extra charge for $3 but I wanted to try so we got some for the table. They seemed to be baked chips, or they just taste like they are. I believe they fry the chips in big batches every morning and leave it out until ordered, so it didn't seem fresh to me. I was a bit disappointed in the chips since it was an extra charge, I wish it were fresh or at least warm. I would return again if I want a quick place for Mexican food.

Been a very long time since we been...mainly cuz parking is tight and hard to find along School Street. But there was a stall for a truck...not big enough for ours...and luckily someone else was going out so we snagged theirs.Got in okay since was early...got crowded when we were leaving.I'm a sucker for queso skillets. This was tasty but use regular shredded kinda cheese instead of the melty cheese that's all nice and creamy. So this one hardens junk, isn't as easily scoopable, and you can see/taste the oil. But it's still cheese...so we happily ate it. Baby was eating the cheese and giving us back her chip. That kid...Hubs got Menudo and a couple crunchy tacos. Menudo was pretty tasty.I got the combo with quesadilla, enchilada and chalupa. Enchilada seemed like the kind of homemade burritos I make at home...no enchilada sauce or much of anything other than cheese on top. I guess I didn't know what a chalupa was b/c it was just a taco shell bowl filled with taco stuff in it. Came with refried beans and rice...baby liked the beans, but would have preferred black beans. Not sure if that's an option there.Margs were tasty but pretty weak. Could use an extra shot at least.Waitress super nice and helpful. Cook in the kitchen looked angry, but he smiled and waved at my baby when she waved at him...my baby is my soft spot, so that just made me so happy.Was a fun dinner even if the food was just okay...mariachi would have kicked it up a notch tho!

The entrance is very nice, clean, and colorful. Inside was clean too. We ordered chips and salsa for the table, which was $3. I got the birria tacos, which came with rice and beans. The beans were not too flavorful, so I added salt. Overall the flavors for the food were not too strong, but I still enjoyed my meal. Our waiter checked on us frequently.

This visit was much improved over our last visit!The service was good, they got all our menu items correct. Food was fresh and good and portion sizes are huge. It's a cool ambiance, with lots of things on the wall for my kid to look at. They keep the restaurant nice and cool with AC.

There are roaches all over, I was going to order my food and eat it at the bar all of a sudden as soon as the server wiped the bar two medium roaches ran across the counter! So disgusting! I prayed that my to go food didn't have them in them! For the roaches being all over the places , this establishment should drop their expensive prices for their mediocre Mexican food! I can't wait with the roaches and during the day too! Haha I get we are in hawaii but for the love of God at least bomb the place!

We've been going to Mexico for years. Food has been the same. Satisfactory, but never amazing. It got the Mexican food craving out of the way that we've needed. In recent years tho, the service has gone down hill a little. I've had a lot of orders with mistakes, missing stuff from take out, sometimes food coming out more than half an hour after we've ordered. There's an old aunty that begs for food from the customers and the employees just kinda ignore her until she's overly harassing.In the most recent event, my mom and cousin just went and felts something biting at them. After they checked their seats, they found bed bugs in the cushions. They alerted the employees and they took the seats away. Not sure if they will be doing more.Really sad because I loved going there when I was kid. In recent years, had not been to my liking. Hope they can change and do better.

I live nearby so I come here once in a while and I've always had great service and the food was always good. I guess based on reviews, it's a hit or miss on both. Been coming here since I was little so there's been a couple changes but the decor is never changed - Mexico.Came tonight (Sat at 6:30pm) and there was no wait, but the restaurant was full. Service was good. He checked up on us and took our food orders at a good pace. Food came out fast, maybe like 10min? We also ordered chips and salsa - chips were still warm so that's a plus.We ordered a taco salad, traditional tacos, tamale and combo #1. I didn't get a chance to take pics of the food because we were so hungry and it looked so good! I got the tamale. I've had it multiple times before and it was nice and thick and very hot. I highly suggest the combo because it's a little of one of everything if you can't decide. Like most Mexican restaurants, portion size are huge and will most likely have leftovers.Overall, I like this place. Not sure if I'm being bias because it's convenient for me, but I think it's just as good as other places.
