This review is long overdue. I stumbled upon this haven when randomly walking down Atlantic Avenue, which I don't normally frequent. I saw a board in front of the door that said "Dance Medicine" and I got curious. I'm so thankful that I decided to call and make an appointment. I've struggled with chronic neck and back pain for over ten years and have tried everything from subpar physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, phyiotherapists, chiropractors, Rolfing, Alexander, etc etc, and then I met Christine.I've explained to Christine that I gave up on healing my pain because at the end of the day, I just didn't feel like anyone I met or worked with really knew what they were doing.Well, Christine DOES. With her background in dance and her doctorate in physical therapy, I have never met anyone as knowledgeable and intuitive in her area of expertise. She really understands the body on a structural and kinetic level, and her work both in the office as well as what she prescribes for you at home really works. The healing does not come without active effort on your part, which I didn't shy away from. She taught me to get to know my body, starting with the basics of isolating and activating my pelvic floor muscles and building from there.I can go on forever about her, and I haven't even mentioned what a calming presence she has and how much I actually enjoy working with her. She's awesome!!!Consider yourself lucky to get treatment at Metaphysio :)

I am so glad that my friend referred me to Christine at Metaphysio! She is now the go-to body guru for all our family and friends! She offers both physical therapy (PT) and yoga and I have been enjoying both. :) Also the space itself is very zen and relaxing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PHYSICAL THERAPY: Christine is a fantastic physical therapist, and I would highly recommend her to people of all ages and conditions. Most PTs I have been to in the past just target the site of injury and/or put a bandaid it. In contrast, Christine is able to put the injury in context of the entire body. One of the things I appreciate most about going to Metaphysio is that I know I will get direct and honest feedback and suggestions, and they actually work.Christine's approach to treatment is unique in that she gives you the tools to build a strong foundation and works with you to customize a plan to prevent re-injury and relapse of symptoms. For example, when building strength in my outer thighs, instead of going right to clams or side-leg series (as other PTs have done with me), we began by locating pelvic floor muscles for stabilization, and working on micro-movements to retrain the muscles. This kind of incremental muscle retraining has been invaluable in how I hold my body day-to-day.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------YOGA: Not only is Christine a great PT, but she also does and teaches yoga! Her background in dance and training as a PT adds a wonderful dimension to my yoga practice. Her focus on correct alignment helps build strength in muscles that I have a hard time activating in other yoga classes.

Christine is a great PT. I'm a principal ballerina in Seattle and needed some help while I was dancing in Oahu. Christine helped to alleviate pain in my back very quickly and gave me exercises to help keep improving it. She also helped with some ankle issues. I'm so grateful for her help and would definitely see her again and highly recommend her!

As a broadway performer and health Coach I am always looking for ways to put my body into better alignment and in turn make the most efficient use of energy. Christine is my go to Physical Therapist. She is the definition professionalism and excellence in service. Her clinic is clean, convenient and filled with great energy. As a practitioner I find her diagnosis to be spot, she has the ability to look at the whole picture and not just the area of dysfunction. She is the first name that comes to mind when someone has a difficult issue or a chronic condition that others have not been able to clarify. In addition: to have yoga teacher with her knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy is priceless. This place is a treasure for Brooklyn!

I have been going to Christine Keller for years. There is no question that her results speak for themselves. Where other therapists will take 10-15 appointments to get you out of pain or help you in the healing process she will take half that. Her space is super welcoming and very zen. Having been a fitness professional for the last 15 years I have been treated and referred many clients to physical therapists. I can honestly say that Christine is the best!

Christine has been a great help to at least three of our family members. She has helped my husband and I through our shoulder surgeries this year with great skill. Every visit is unique as she builds on what is going on that particular day along with following the healing protocol set forth by the doctor. Her experience is obvious as she moves between clients with a huge range of issues. She approaches each with master confidence and empathy. She now is helping my daughter with knee issues as we await the MRI. Christine gave her some great strengthening routines to help her deal with her activities now. We are very grateful to her for all she's done for us.
