Incredible luau! The master of ceremonies is so entertaining and welcoming, the drummers and serenaders were so talented and mesmerizing. The authentic buffet meal was delicious as was the pupus or appetizers. Everything was very authentic and thoughtful. The main performance is absolutely incredible. They tell a beautiful story through dance, spanning all of the Polynesian styles and islands. The performers are so talented and show stopping. The fire dancer at the end is a show stopper. We loved the interactive portions like the hula on stage and the couples dance. This was a night we will never forget.

Well if we are talking about food it's fair. Kalbi Beef had flavor but I'm not to sure it was Kabli or the cut was extremely wrong but paired with local white rice it worked. The Teriyaki chicken taste almost similar to pepper chicken which is a sharp turn from teriyaki chicken not in a good way. The remaining entrees "Well let's just say what mama told us long ago, If you've got nothing good to say about the situation say nothing."Show is very well done and definitely worth a watch. Staff seemed to be rather attentive and helpful. Ambiance is nice once everything is completely dark... Overall a few aesthetic changes to the fairgrounds would be nice and most importantly upgrades to the food and this Luau would be #1. Lastly we need a Luau thats produced and run by locals. I mean seriously how can individuals from off island teach you about the truth about "HA" and honestly have that Aloha spirit within them. Culture always needs to be preserved!!

My expectations coming to this Luau was just fine. I've been telling my family too that this Luau is somewhat new and not like the one we used to go (the tourist market, PCC,GL,PCL,CL etc) and yes I've been almost all the luau over and over but coming to Mele Luau, became my #1 right away. I don't think any luau can top this one. I felt like I have a private backyard party with world class entertainers. This show's story is so engaging that we were hooked and it's a summary of all the islands. It's like watching the whole PCC performance in 30-45 minutes show! and the Ali'i- the fire master, my goodness! The whole show was already too much and that just brought it to a whole new level! Engaging activities in the beginning. I wasn't feel rushed. My kids were running around in the "faux" grass (just like in a backyard) i feel so relaxed for the first time in a luau. The food is catered by Laverne's so its ono right there and then. The drinks were sufficient. They treated you like their family member.Jeff the manager goes all out making sure everybody is taken cared of. I HaVE never felt that important in a luau. I was just a number to the other luaus I've been too.The games, seating, hmm lighting, ambiance, tiki torches, its just really nice and I felt so happy bringing my family here.Thank you so much for giving and providing us this kind of luau. All the best!

I would give zero stars. This is 40 minutes outside Waikiki, in a parking lot with fake grass. The ambiance is like someone's backyard bbq. The appetizers were served in the small paper cups McDonalds ketchup comes in, food was just okay and cold, served on paper plates. Drinks were premixed and served in plastic cups. Seats were beyond uncomfortable. We paid $260 a person and were expecting much more, not even close to worth the cost. Dancers were good and worked hard - that's the only plus.

Ok, I know I'm from Hawaii and luau's are not a big thing for us but man did I enjoy this place!! For us locals, this isn't your typical luau. I went in with an open mind and my oh my how I enjoyed it!!! Seriously the staff was friendly!! The FOOD was OMG delicious (they even let me go back for seconds for some poi)! The show was very different from what I'm accustomed to but none the less it was amazing. I actually really really really enjoyed it! They had some live dinner music playing in the back, the area is small and quaint but nicely lit. This place is definitely a MUST TRY! Check it out, eat good and enjoy the show as they tell a story through it. I don't want to spoil you with too much details buuuut they even had really young fire knife dancers!! Ok, now....Go book your ticket!!

I have a LOT to say about the Mele Luau...Let's start off with the storyline! Love the fact that there's a storyline and it's about LOVE! Great way to tie the storyline to all the islands. Don't worry, I won't spoil it for you. Just go see it for yourself, you won't be disappointed. I also really appreciate that it's in such a quiet area, so you really feel immersed into the Mele Luau. Even the goats there were quiet lol. Yes, I said it.. GOATS!Now let's talk about the food... OMG drool! Took my friends from Texas, and they also thoroughly enjoyed the food. When I first went, the poi consistency wasn't to my liking but they fixed it this time. I was dipping my kalua pork in the poi and chomping away. Tell me tell me, how do you cook fish and chicken in bulk and still get it perfectly done without drying out?!?Last but definitely not the least.. I know a lot of luaus interact with the crowd, but let me tell you, it's so cozy that literally EVERYONE was up there on stage at one point in time. What a way to create such beautiful memories.Thank you Mele Luau and all their wonderful staff from Tamatoa, Chief Manu, Jeff and everyone else for an amazing time! 1,000,000% recommend! You can also add transportation for a nominal fee to get out there.

Absolutely magnificent. The crowd enjoyed themselves a lot. The food was delicious. Show was beautiful. Visually captivating at times. Newest Luau in Honolulu is probably the best to come in a long time considering how many they are. 5 stars

Cute show, very good dancers, excellent musicians. We missed our shuttle and they were really helpfual and nice re finding a solution. Good food, especially nice for a non pork eater. Might have liked to see the stage full with more dancers, I think they had about 8, plus a fire dancer. I would have bought music by musicians had it been offered. Last. catering manager to catering manager, make the buffet more attractice with flowers and more attractive vessels.
