Listen, the gravy is spot on!!! My goodness...it's the perfect mix between home style gravy and curry sauce. The meat was very disappointing. As the deboned thigh was overcooked....which means it was dry and chewy.

Meataly Boys was another spot I got to check out at the Waikiki Food Hall. This spot specializes in Hawaiian and Japanese dishes. We tried the Yakinku Beef Plate, Spicy Chicken Plate as well s the Pork Chop Plate.Our entrees all came with rice and salad. Overall the plates were very fulfilling and also good for sharing. I did think the beef was slightly on the oily side and enjoyed the chicken more. When we came here; they were having a bit of trouble getting the credit card reader to work but despite the wait; service was good and they were polite.Overall enjoyed a good hearty meal here!

New food court in Waikiki, located in Royal Hawaiian Center next to Wolfgang Restaurant. The interior décor was Hawaii-ish and pretty chill. Seemed like Japanese vendors with a couple of local restaurants. Eat and shop here. There are a few vendor in the Hall. Menu is shown as soon as you walk inside. You have to order in the middle area where the bar is. They would give you a buzzer. When your food is ready, head to your food vendor. Don't forget to show your Hawaii ID for Kamaaina discount. My friend and I shared the meat monster plate ($20). Huge portions. It had yakiniku beef, pork belly, arabiki, and chicken over a bed of rice. Also came with salad and kimchi. It was a good deal! The meat was tender and juicy. So many flavors in the plate. It was also spicy and a bit salty. It was too much food for us but we finished it. My friend ordered the curry yakiniku beef which was also pretty good. A place worth coming back with family and friends. I would like to try the other vendors next time.

Meataly Boys is located in Waikiki Food Hall which resides across Noi Thai on the 3rd Floor of Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. They are in the back but you order from the bar area in the middle. It's a food court style of establishment with lots of tables to dine on. Make sure to take away your trash to discard in the trash bins near the cashier when you leave. They offer a Kama'aina discount if you show ID so make sure to show it. Validation is also provided at the cashier. I met a friend here for lunch and we both ordered the same thing and got a drink. When you pay, you will have to make 2 charges as the food is from Meataly Boys and the drink is from Surfers Cafe. We both ordered their Yakiniku Curry Plate. They gave us buzzers and we found a table to dine on. It didn't take the kitchen long to make our food. I quickly got a pic for Yelp and dug in. The flavors were good and I devoured my plate. When I got home I suddenly became tired and needed a nap. When I woke up, I was extremely thirsty, had a headache, nauseous and my heart was beating faster than normal. My fingers were literally shaking. Only thing I can think of is they used quite a bit of MSG. My friend also wasn't feeling great and agreed on usage of MSG. It was a long and horrible night for me. We're glad we got to check out Waikiki Food Hall but it might be some time before we come back again.

My husband ordered this pan fried porkchop with curry. It was pipping hot and the entire bottom layer was filled with rice. The porkchop was so crispy and juicy. It was just a great comfort meal after a long days of shopping. You order from the center stand and theyll give you a pager while you wait. We came right before they were closing so they packed it in a togo box and we ate it outside. It was a quick and delicious hot food

The yakiniku beef curry here was delicious, and one of the best things I ate on my last trip. It is so simple and so full of flavor. It's basically Yoshinoya beef served over rice with a side of curry, but the combination of the thinly sliced fatty beef and the rich flavorful curry was so savory and satisfying. Meataly is located in the Waikiki food hall on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center. The slightly hidden location must attribute to the lack of crowds, because this trendy little food hall was empty when we visited and it turned out to be the perfect little spot to enjoy a relatively cheap meal. While most of these little food hall stalls try to lure customers with fancy creations and Instagram worthy presentation, it's refreshing to see these guys just dishing out some quality comfort dishes that I could eat every day. If you're coming to this food hall to try a couple of those fancy onigiris like we did, make sure you try a plate from here. This is just some downright delicious grub.

I used to love coming here but over the last year the portions have gotten very small. The flavor is good and staff is always friendly but the price isn't worth it anymore.

This first picture is from 3/28/22 the second picture is from today 7/10/24 I'm sad to see how the quality of the plate has gone down. These portions for a $17 plate are ridiculously small. The Mac salad was really sour. I had been waiting to eat here these past two years and I'm saddened to say I won't be coming back. They should just replace this place with something else in the food hall. It's not the same place anymore. My fork broke while trying to eat the chicken because of how over cooked it was.
