I've passed this truck a handful of times and have taken notice the lines of customers it's drawn in...something must be good right and knew I had to try it one day. I'm all for a nice burger and although Mililani Town Center has your plethora of burger choices surrounding I would say go and support local and spend the same you would at Jack in the box or Five Guys. Overall customer service was great, not too long of a wait today as there were maybe 2 or 3 others ahead of us... which doesn't seem to be the norm in its typical busy hours I'm assuming. Probably got there at a good time.Although the burgers don't come as a combo choice with drinks or fries you can order the truffle fries to share and they are better than a $5 fry you would pay at Jacks. Served with a truffle ranch sauce!!! Cmon man!!! When we arrived home and took these pretty photos you see... we finally devoured. Tasty, juicy, and messy! Everything you want in a burger in my opinion. The grease that spilt out of that Oklahoma onion was the best part!Get yourself over to this truck and support local! Skip Chili's or Five Guys or Jack in the Box and get this instead!Heard they have a special deal if you go to Mililani HS!!!

Run, don't walk! This place is IT! You can taste the quality of the ingredients in their food. All handmade from the heart when you order it! Friendly staff and owners! They don't complain about substitutions (which I always make due to food allergies). Follow them on insta so you know where they are. We eat here pretty much every time they are in our neighborhood.

Meats and Buns Hawaii is a food truck serving central oahu the finest local beef burgers and caseless sausage hot dogs to the mililani community. Family supported, Claude gets his local beef from his cousin Travis Browne. For those who may not know, Travis Browne is a retired American mixed martial artist who is also married to Former UFC Champion Rhonda Rousey. Claude also has a food challenge called the "Hawaiian Hammah" for those who can eat four burger patties, eight pieces of bacon, grilled onion, lettuce, tomato, and 1000 island on jumbo poi bun in five minutes. Only 3 winner so far. https://www.instagram.com/meatandbunshawaii?igsh=dDBsMjZiMzc3eDNwFollow Meat and Buns on Instagram for daily and up-to-date information. Jen, who took my order and is Claude's helping hand, is the friendliest and most welcoming person I met. Justin, who's hard at work, is cranking out the food as it gets ordered. #19 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week)Another restaurant bookmarked for weeks before we got a chance to try it. We had a free Saturday and booked it to the food truck which was behind Chili's in Miliani. There are only 4 items on the menu including the Hawaiian Hammah which is a food challenge. Sometimes though less is more. We settled on the OG Dawg ($14.95) and the Wagyu Burger ($16.95). We added jalapeno's on both items which was an extra $1 for each one. They also offer a Truffle Burger ($15.95) but we don't like truffle so that was a no go. While we waited one of the owners hung out with us to talk story, tell us about this business and his other businesses overseas. Really chill guy and nice way to spend our time waiting. The food didn't take long and we headed home to eat.We were sharing both items so we cut them in half and dug in. Both items came with a side of kettle chips. The OG Dawg was good. The hot dog is unique because it does not have any casing with makes it nice and tender. My favorite part of the dawg was the Vietnamese pickled vegetables which worked well with the pork flavor of the dawg. The burger was good as well. My honey said he could do without the sauce but I liked it. It's like 1000 Island dressing. I am an onion fan and this burger had grilled onions on it. The only negative we really had was the burger patty was not that large so it seemed a little lost on the burger. It's like a smashburger but it just wasn't enough meat. You can add another burger patty for an extra $5 but then the burger is $21.95 and I can't bring myself to pay that much for a burger.I'm not going to deny that it was a very good burger and dawg and we may be back but to be honest, the price might keep us away.

So for awhile now I've been seeing the posts on IG and did some research on Yelp and wanted to try these wagyu burgers from this Meat and Buns Hawaii food truck that makes it up to Mililani and today was the day I was able to finally stopped by! Well worth it and gotta say Braddah Claude was right... tastes just like my fave In 'N Out burgers (always first stop when I fly to the mainland - how did he know?) but made from Wagyu beef! I'll definitely be back and you guys should definately check out his food truck and pop ups in Mililani, Kaimuki and my old stomping grounds in Kailua! Tell him T-Bone sent ya cuz your opu will be glad I did! #meatsndbunshawaii #justlikeinnout #youhadmeatwagyu

So good, definitely check this place out. The burger was delicious perfection and it was served with chips (it had a Maui onion chip flavor which really compliments the burger) I can't wait to try the other items on the menu. Highly recommend if you enjoy a good burger!

First time I tried meat and buns was a disappointment. I got the $17 truffle burger which at the time came with chips and the og dawg. Both were underwhelming the burger was just forgettable and the hot dawg you could tell was made with better meat but it was very dry (even with the sauces) I also don't think the toppings matched with it but that's just my preference. I gave them another shot since I saw that they sell fries now and was hoping I would get a more memorable burger on this visit. Again I was disappointed, the burger was just okay. I thought it was worth $5 and not $10. The wagyu meat didn't taste any different, there wasn't a lot of flavor, and nothing special about the bun or toppings. I also asked for an extra ingredient and it wasn't in my order when I got it. The fries weren't what was advertised as crinkle cut which I thought would have went along way better with the truffle sauce. The fries were just think standard cut fries that were cold. I liked that they let me mix the lemonade flavor but it was too sweet and didn't come with a lid. The wait time was about 20-25 minutes. That's not long when the food is good but when it doesn't meet your expectations it feels like a burden on my wallet and my time. The staff was friendly enough but they didn't give me a bag with the stuff I ordered and expected me to balance the burger, a container, and a drink with no lid. I'm also not sure why so many food trucks never ask a customer if they want their receipt. It's nice to know when I'm charged correctly and know exactly what I'm paying for. Idk where the guy with beard went, he seemed really friendly and passionate. I hope to see him back on the truck next time.I may be a sucker but I'm willing to try this place one more time to try the oklahoma onion burger. Hopefully that burger will be enough to turn things around and they will have actual crinkle cut fries, lids for their drinks, and bags so the customers won't drop the order they waited so long for.

I have seen this truck parked here for quite sometime, I'm reluctant to try most food trucks due to using bulk items from costco like stores. We took a chance and what a pleasant surprise! Food was fresh, service was fast and friendly, I waited in my car and watched the cook who took her time, was clean and handled food with care, delivered to my car with a big smile. Ordered the Mahi burger and single patty waygu and the Food was delicious and fresh. Presentation was also nice, put together with care.A must try if you are in the area!
