Maunalani Community Park is a small, quaint public space that has an amazing view of Waikiki and Diamond Head; but I'd think that with such a small area, it would be better maintained; but, listen, it's a tiny complaint. As a landscaper, aesthetic is important for me when it comes to recreational areas.Other than that, restrooms are clean, the park has a pair of badminton fields that are great for the obvious... as well as tennis, rollerblading, etc., and it is seldom used by tourists!

The neighbors enjoy this 180 degree ocean view from the park. There are breath taking views of Honolulu, Diamond Head and beyond. While the park is small with very limited parking, there is a community center with restrooms, a basketball and tennis court, a small field for soccer and a small plays scape. The park is remote and does not attract tourists. Neighbors gather to walk dogs, let children play and enjoy the sunset views. This is definitely a hidden gem.

Almost to the top of Sierra Drive in Kaimuki is a charming little park. There is a cute field to walk your dog. I have walked my cat here before. A clean bathroom and tennis court. Residents can use the little auditorium for functions, or so I heard.

Nice court with full backboard. Unfortunately only one court. Restrooms and ample parking with a small parking lot.

A great little park! The surface of the tennis and basketball courts is in great shape, and there's a very nice small playground for the little ones, complete with the soft, rubbery surface. It's in the shade during the morning only and a partial concrete wall surrounds the back of it, perfect for adults to sit on. There is a big, open green space as well, which people use to entertain their dogs despite the "no dogs" sign. Bathrooms are generally very clean, and there is a working water fountain. There was at least one picnic table, which is in the shade at lunchtime. Don't forget the amazing views!!

A community park nestled in the Hills of Maunalani, they have a small rec. bldg, tennis courts and a nicely maintained park area to enjoy. They even have a limited amount of parking but off street parking is pretty good. The view from the Maunalani area is quite spectacular.

I used to spend some Summers here at this park for summer fun when I was a kid my Grandma lived just a bit down from the park. What I can say is the views from the park is great of the city the facilities oh so so but you know memories when you are young everything was great. The park itself isn't that big but I would say it is at least a acre or larger at the top of Wilhelmina Rise. There is a Tennis court and a basketball court. and a wooded area which I used to play in when I was a kid and a rec center for activities.

The worst ! The playground has no fence around to protect toddlers from walking/falling down hills. With bushes around & the restroom , kids have very limited space to walk /run around. It's hard to have a baby stroller and baby in your view at the same time. No easy access for baby stroller to the lower lot.

While on a leisure drive one day, the bf and I found ourselves at this tiny park almost at the top of Wilhelmina Rise. There's just enough room for about 4-5 cars to fit in the parking lot and still be able to get out without a lot of maneuvering. A small, but nice, grassy area with a tree or two looks just large enough to accommodate a modest baby luau and it overlooks Diamond Head crater and part of the ocean. There's also a tennis court, colorful playground equipment and a decent bathroom.Small, but a very pretty view!

When my girlfriend used to work up Wilhelmina Rise, I used to have to pick her up from time to time. Close to the top is a itty-bitty park with a just as small sized parking lot. I used to wait and park my car here and watch some of the neighborhood kids practice soccer. It's a really small park with some great views of the coastline and city. There's a bathroom and tennis courts also. Although, the last time I checked most of the playground area was under construction. They seem to be renovating the whole thing to enlarge it and also improve the facilities. It's a nice place to get away and just relax or eat your plate lunch with a nice vista.Only thing is, be careful if you drive straight up Wilhelmina Rise (the street). Make sure your vehicle can make that incline, else take the long way around. If you have experience driving the hills of San Francisco, it will help here. Finally, remember that downhill traffic should make way for uphill traffic.
