Marujyu Market Catering

We had to cater an event of about 70 people and decided to go with Marujyu Market because we've heard good things. They were really helpful with going over the menu hand helping us work within our budget with substitutions of their sample menu. Just so you know there has been price increases over their website. The Party Buffet Menu is no $14.95 per person and the minimum delivery spend is $2k. They helped plan/determine a time for us to pick up based on the time we were thinking about eating. All of their dishes came in giant foil pans with wax paper and foil on top. Really easy to transport from their location, it was all ready at the designated time that we requested to pick up.I think of everything on their party buffet menu the peanuts we substituted instead of the tossed salad was the real winner with the sesame chicken being a close second. I think some people felt there was too much chicken skin but the chicken itself was good. Lots of attendees had inquired where we got our food from so that's always a good thing.

The ladies here are so nice! I stop in on occasion for my Hawaiian food fix. Prices are comparable to other places so no complaints. This place is just a good old fashioned neighborhood take out joint. I'll definitely keep coming back.

This place sells out of certain items really quickly so you have to get there early if you're looking for something in particular. The pulehu steak, patele and gondule rice are a must. The pulehu steak is so tender and flavorful. The ladies working there are always so sweet. Highly recommend.

This is for the lau lau.. bought it a while ago. Been busy so I froze it. Microwaved it today... really good! Ate only half cuz it's quite big!Lots of luau leaf, pork and some fish. Flavor is good and tasty! I will definitely drive back to Aiea to get more!

Called In a lunch order for 6 plates. Everything was so Ono and portions were plentiful. Laulau was so tender and had lots ofMeat, wish had more luau leaf but can't complain with the side of it. Almost as big as the plate! We'll for sure be back again !

Okay I learned a very important lesson. Stick to the Hawaiian food, poke section, and things like the cucumber kimchee and namasu. Last week we ordered the Salmon Casserole and the onions on top the dish was raw. Then today we got the Turkey & Stuffing plate only to find raw (or not really cooked) onions in the stuffing.

Great Customer Service and Great Food! The Atmosphere is Always Welcoming! If you're hungry for Hawaiian Mix plates, go there! A while your there, you can do your Laundry, check out the other shops around.

I had a craving for Hawaiian food last Friday, so I stoped at Marujyu. I had the Laulau plate with Lomi Samoan and Poi with a side of Poke.The Laulau was meaty with just the right amount of seasoning and the Lomi Salmon went really well with the Poi. I also like the fact that they have so many different types of Poke to choose from. I had the Spicy Shoyu Poke, which was very fresh and tasty.I also had a piece of Haupia. They serve the heavier denser variety, so if you like that strong coconut taste, this is the place.

Went back to try the Kalua Pig ...was really good...the Curry Stew too. Stop by and give this place a try. Aloha, Derek
