Looking for a trainer to help our son at age 13 to learn about strengthening and conditioning Daniel was highly recommended by our Family Physician.Our son who is now 16, is very happy working out with Daniel and his staff. He has taught him the proper techniques in weight lifting, strength conditioning and injury prevention training. Daniel is looked upon like a "BIG" brother by our son. He has been talking to our son about lessons in life through his encouragement to make the right choices, perseverance, dreaming and believing in himself as a future athlete. Daniel is always concerned about our son's well being not only physically but his mental toughness and what are his future goals in life.We want to say KUDOS to Daniel and his staff

I've never done a review on Yelp, but yet I always use the reviews from others on Yelp to help me find "the best of" whatever type of business I am looking for. This time, I feel the to share our wonderful experience in hopes that others might find the same great training/rehabilitation opportunities for themselves or their athlete children.My 15-year-old twins were both injured within months of each other on the volleyball court. Healing was slow and frustrating so it forced us to look for professional help. MAR Training came highly recommended by friends and so we gave it a try. WE ARE SO GLAD THAT WE DID!!!! The trainers at this facility are top notch athletes themselves, therefore they understand what it takes for these young athletes to recover from injury and prevent injury. Daniel, Kainoa and Nick are detail oriented, focused and really care about our daughters' progress. While my daughters love to play volleyball, they hated working out. Until they met the team at MAR Training. They explained the purpose of each exercise, used correct terminology and are absolute hawks about form, posture and reps. They won't let the girls get away with anything, and I love that about the trainers. More importantly, the girls won't slack...they are encouraged all throughout their workout which results in an amazing experience. Every single workout, without fail, has them pushing themselves for more...and they love it! I've never seen them respond so well to a coach or trainer. They are getting stronger every single day and it shows in their confidence off and on the court. We couldn't be more grateful.As parents, we often have to prioritize our budget and activities. This is worth every single penny, I assure you. Our relationship with the MAR Training team is a partnership, we talk about the goals for the athlete and how they will reach them. I am impressed at how well they interact with the girls and constantly gauge and adjust the exercises for an optimum performance. Overall, this is a great team and I encourage you to check it out!

We absolutely LOVE MAR Training! My 14 yo daughter is a youth athlete who plays several sports year round, we were looking for training to help elevate her level of play in all areas as well as something to help her overall fitness level to keep her healthy and injury free. We've been at MAR for over a year, not only has my daughter continued to advanced tremendously in her overall fitness, she's really advanced in her level of play and has been injury free. The training offered definitely takes it to the next level and within just a few weeks you will feel and see a noticeable difference.Something else that we've noticed overtime is a gain in mental toughness, my daughter knows the workouts are going to push her to the limit and she genuinely looks forward to and enjoys it! We HIGHLY recommend MAR!

Daniel has been my trainer for the past 8 years and I saw tremendous improvement in my strength and stability over the years. His training is tailored to be sport specific and is a big reason why I was able to play at the Division 1 level in college. I would highly recommend for all elite athletes and those that want to maintain or build strength in a healthy and safe way.

Daniel is the best trainer around! My daughter has been working out with him & his team since August and the results are phenomenal! She's jumps higher, is quicker and had built muscles in all the areas that are important to a volleyball player to keep her strong. She is exhausted when she's done with her session but LOVES it & see the results! Our 11 year old son can't wait to start training with Daniel! You won't be disappointed in bringing your athlete here!

I'm a recent D1 college student athlete graduate. Currently training for an opportunity to play on a USA national team. When I'm home in Hawaii, I always make sure to get my workouts in with Daniel. He will not only train you to excel in whatever specific way you or your sport requires, but he explains the purpose of each exercise and what it's doing for your body. Back in highschool when I was going through the recruiting process, Daniel did amazing rehab on my foot which allowed me to get back on the field a lot quicker than expected. Still till this day I do exercises and drills that I learned from him in my own workouts. Great guy who is invested in getting you to be a better and stronger you. Highly recommended to any Hawaii athlete

Daughter has been coming to train with Daniel for 4 months now and her strength and flexibility has improved immensely which has brought her more confidence on the volleyball court. Space is clean, well kept, lots of parking and never over crowded. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to send their child of any sport for strength and injury prevention training.

Best trainers ever...my son loves going to MAR! My 14 yr old son is super shy but after a session at MAR, his body is incredibly tired but he is always full of energy and will talk about his session all the way home. After only 5 sessions he is noticing that his knee pain is gone and his hips are not tight, which helps improve his basketball and volleyball game. Everyone at MAR Training is top notch!
