Love this place!Been here to do their mead making tour and a special lei making event, both were great. On the mead tour you get to go out to the beehives and see the bees in action. The location of the hives are about a mile away and they drive you over in a van. The first time I did the tour there were 6 attendees and the second time I did it there were 7. You get the option of wearing a protective suit with some gloves and a netted hat/mask and get up close to the hives. I did that first time and it was awesome getting to hold one of the frames with all the bees on it. The second time my friend Joe K did that. After visiting the hives you go back and get a tour of the production room and see all the equipment used. The first time they had the extraction machines that spin the frames but the second time the machines weren't there since it was getting into the winter season and less honey is produced by the bees.Once done with that you get a tasting of some of the mead they make along with a charcuterie board to snack on. The samples vary from lighter sparkling meads to more traditional meads. Both times there were 6 glasses sampled in total. All were really good but I definitely lean towards the more traditional meads. One really cool thing is we got to try a fresh cutting of honeycomb we brought back from the hives. Amazing! They have a small retail space that you can purchase various meads and the honeys they make. You can also sample their honeys to see how they taste. I highly recommend trying the ghost pepper honey and the rum barrel aged honey. If you've ever been interested in trying mead and seeing how it's made, take this tour!

I enjoyed the meads because they weren't super sweet like most meads are - they were more like a brut champagne, which I enjoyed. They did have a few sweeter options for those who like sugar!! We shared a flight and bought two single tastings. The girl who poured our flight was very knowledgeable. When I looked this place up online, I thought it was going to be in a nice area with plants and grass around me, but it seems those photos were of the actual spots where they keep the bees, not the tasting room. The he tasting room is in an industrial area with very few parking spots. It could be cute, but I felt like I was in a storage room. Maybe some string lights and hiding the old equipment would make it a better spot. We didn't have a chance to go on the tour, but if you do, you should take it. It sounded neat.

I dropped by Mānoa Honey & Mead around 2pm on a Friday and was surprised to see the place was pretty full! I didn't have to wait too long for a table though. It's pretty much just a few tables outdoors and they have a little shop next to it where you can by their products.I opted for the craft mead tasting so I could get a sample of different meads. I tried the lei flower session, guava lavender session mead, java plum rose mead, pō, and slee ping potion. I expected to love the guava lavender session mead but the lavender flavor definitely overpowered the guava and the drink tasted like soap. I did like the lei flower session though so I bought a few bottles back for my parents! The mead surprisingly isn't too sweet. I was expecting a moscato level of sweetness but it's more mild than that which is nice! Would definitely come back again to pick up some more bottles in the future!

On our way to the Dole Plantation, we stopped by this place because we are always on the search for a great meadery. Parking is very limited. They have various bee-related products, plus a few random products from other local suppliers - I bought some souvenirs here, including a couple meads that I was able to pack to bring back home.I don't remember too much about the specific tastes as they weren't really memorable, but the flavored sparkling meads were pretty decent with some carbonation, and I did subtly taste the fruit they were made with (pineapple and lilikoi). Po, the barrel-aged mead was okay and fairly sweet, and the sleeping potion (mead made with lavender) was kind of floral and weird, though I don't really regret trying a purple colored mead. They were out of some flavors when we went. While we've had better mead (we prefer more sweet than dry), I'd still be interested in procuring a tasting here one day as their products are very unique.

Short and simple: I love Manoa Mead! I lack knowledge on the different beers in the world. But I do not lack in taste buds. After trying both the seasonal and essential flights, the love for mead has grown so strong! Every single sample was amazing. Each flight was $20-25 and held six flights each. The drinks came one after another and they inform you about how each was locally sourced (we love a support local moment). Unfortunately we weren't able to get the charcuterie board. :( I believe parking and location may be the most difficult part of visit. There are 3 parking spaces in front of the venue that is reserved for Manoa Mead. The area is in residential area so be mindful of your parking. I did hear so neighbors scolding customers for just placing her car near their property...Overall it's a quaint little spot to try something new!

We loved this spot so much! I came here with some girlfriends after a fun weekend of hiking the island, and loved how Mānoa really rounded out our list of non-touristy experiences. Don't let the extremely affordable tasting price fool you: Portions are delicious and generous, and you _will_ get giggly from the flavors and overall experience. This is a laidback, very casual location that's first and foremost the home of the company's honey harvesting and mead fermenting operations, so you'll get an up-close-and-personal peek at the hive-to-bottling process if you ask nicely. If you're a planner, book reservations in advance. This location is tiny (and popular) so space fills up quickly. If you want more than just a few quick glasses of mead, consider the Bees to Mead tour which takes you to the company's local apiary for a look at the pollen magicians themselves. I can't wait to come back!

I highly recommend a stop here on way to North Shore or a stop on your way back to end your day. The honey tasting was fun for the kids; each of us picked different flavors. Top 3 for me was the ghost pepper honey, macadamia nut honey, and the barrel rum aged honey. For the adults in the group, the staff have a great tasting menu that includes 6 samples and fun conversation. Having few tasting options on the islands, this place does not disappoint. We enjoyed the different scents and flavors to discuss as we went from bubbly mead to classic style. They also have a non-alcoholic pineapple and lilikoi slushie to stay cool.

Tucked away in an industrial area in Wahiawa so parking can be tricky. Courtyard was inviting and seating was quaint. Enjoyed the flight and got to pick some faves (ginger, punch and sleeping potion). The kiawe creme honey is delish. Service provided by the 2 girls was excellent

We went to a tasting and it was so fun. Jordan was great and very knowledgeable about their products. Loved the atmosphere and aesthetics. Can't wait to book another trip up there. We loved some of the new drinks and ended up buying a few that they sold in bottles as well as the specialty honey they have for sale too. So happy with the overall experience of the drink selections and honey testers.
