Manakoa Gym

Very disappointed with their customer service. I was charged all of my previous months on the 20th of every month so I emailed them on the 18th to cancel as per their policy is to cancel 48 hours prior to the billing cycle. Every single month we were charged on the 20th then I get an email from them saying that my billing date is the 17th. My charge did not go through for the next month yet and I cancelled 48 hours prior to when I was regularly charged yet they refuse to cancel the pending charge. Their customer service is horrible and they just seem money hungry. I have been to other locally owned gyms who would easily refund us if we emailed them 48 hours prior to when they bill but I guess this gym does not care about their clients.The overall gym is very small, there is another review for adult gymnastics that gives it 2/3 stars and I have to agree with them. You spend more than half the class stretching and maybe 10 minutes doing actually gymnastics. Sometimes you only do the activity once because of how little time you're given doing actual gymnastics. I would recommend another place that has two hour adult gymnastics for half the price!

My daughter has been with Manakoa Gym for just about a year now and her skills with gymnastics had drastically inclined. I am in awe with what she had learned for such just that short amount of time. Coach Cynthia and Coach Sarah had thought my daughter so much skills. They are very caring, friendly, family oriented & kind. They believed in her and she was able to attend her very first competition. Our very first experience with the whole "Gymnastics Life." What a very cool, interesting & very intense BUT great experience. WE can't wait to see what is in store for our daughter. It is only the beginning. WE love Manakoa Gym!

If your looking for a school to bring your child to the next level, Manakoa gymnastics is the where it's at! there are usually two instructors on the floor with the students, which is a plus. Everyone is friendly, students and instructors alike. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad we found this gym. We switched from a much larger gym in the area where it really felt like we were just a face in the crowd. Coach Cynthia is super sweet and calls each child by name and will give you little updates on your child when you pick them up. The gym was also super accommodating to us during covid. Highly recommend!

Mm. There are basically no places on Oahu that provide adult gymnastics and if there are, let me know!! I stayed at work one day rather than go back to my home office in order to be closeby and attend the adult gymnastics class. Athough the facility was nice, it's really tiny. The size of a single company warehouse. They sure do get creative with the space - in that there was a private lesson happening and the kid was tumbling through our class space as well. This would be an amazing aerial studio (high ceilings) but it's pretty cramped, although I have to say they do their best to utilize the space efficiently.This review is for adult gymnastics only. In short: it's the kids class, with adults participating. Not very satisfying. And my warmup was led by like a six year old. As an adult participant, I was not impressed, but don't keep this from bringing your children.

My 7 year old daughter has been coming here several months now. The coaches communicate with you very well and are excellent with the students. My daughter is excited to go every session and comes home excited to show off her progress. Her progress is absolutely fantastic! Absolutely recommend Manakoa Gym!!!

My daughter has been coming to manakoa for a short while. She started at 1 hour one day to 2 hours day 1 and 1 hour day 2 totalling 3 hours. The extra time was extra cost of course. But I'm so impressed with the staff. They noticed that my daughter might be a little more advanced and asked us if we wanted to bump her up for progression. We instantly agreed. They are the professionals and we trust their judgement. My daughter loves coming here. The staff are very polite and so far no complaints or injuries. So I'm guessing the safety of my child is of serious concern. I love this place. I'm so glad we found them. And it's close to my house. I'm excited to see the level my daughter teaches and the heights manakoa gymnastics will take her. Cheeeeeeeeereh

The latest: After the girls competed in Aloha Gymfest, I can say that there is no way I'd have my daughter learning from any other gym. The coaches at Manakoa have coached my daughter for a little over a year now and she just competed for the first time. The team was PHENOMENAL-not just in their routines but in their sportsmanship, manners, and perseverance. After watching them compete against other gyms I noticed that the Manakoa athletes always congratulated others at the podium. They also look healthy and have muscle tone, so the nutrition information the gymnasts get is actually fueling them! Additionally, they walked like gymnasts everywhere in the facility and all had personalized floor routines that fit their personalities! Hands down the best gym ever! I'm proud to be part of the Manakoa Ohana!!! I love everything about Manakoa Gym. The facility is great-clean, spacious, and has everything. The coaches are caring, positive, and knowledgeable. We found Manakoa through a Girl Scout program. My daughter fell in love and we have been coming ever since. The positive reinforcement makes my daughter proud of how far she has developed while at the same time keeps her pushing to become better. Also-my daughter comes home with lots of fun facts. This is a family, not just a gym.

We were referred by my daughters friend to Manakoa Gym. Being our daughters first time with gymnastics, anxiety was high fir the both of us. Coach Cynthia greeted us with warmth and aloha. After the first class Moani was excited to return. Joining was a no brainer after seeing her excitement. Very pleased with our experience. Mahalo

We've been with Manakoa Gymnastics for almost 1 year now. I really can't say enough about the quality of the coaches and the time and individual attention given to the gymnasts. The coaches really care and are invested in each individual gymnast and their progress. I want my girls to do well in their sport, but more importantly as a parent, I want them to feel safe and supported on their gymnastics journey and that's what we get at Manakoa. My oldest daughter is on the competitive team, so not only is she making huge strides in her gymnastics skills, but she's getting coaches who care about her and know that each gymnast is unique and develops in their own time. We LOVE it here!
