Please see not a great photo of my half eaten delicious mix fruit sandwiches. Few years ago visiting Tokyo department food service area I saw the neatly decorated fruit sandwiches that i passed by to eat Japanese eats instead. Now Mana launched its sandwich that truly services my dessert sandwiches. Many might thick bread, whipped cream with fruits? The whipped cream made to perfection not sweet but creamy easy to eat with each bite! I reassure you for those who loves strawberries it's a delightful way to eat for desserts! I know local people are not into new food items but for me whenever I'm in the Lanai their sandwich dessert are to go to. Dainty it may be for us locals likes everything in large portions...their desserts are remarkably delicious!

I have yet to jump on the Japanese fruit and cream sandwiches train. When Mana Sandwiches first opened in Ala Moana, stopping in to try their sandwiches wasn't high on my priority list. They recently opened this Downtown Honolulu location so since I was in the area, I decided to give it a go. I walked in, saw the fruit and cream sandwiches and how aesthetically pleasing they looked, but still didn't find any appetizing appeal to them. If you're like me, and prefer savory sandwiches, don't worry, they have those too. Other savory sandwiches include tonkatstu sandwich, ham and cheese, roast beef, egg, and more. I settled on the lobster sandwich. It was pretty good and I would order it again. They also have specialty drinks like coffee jelly milk, strawberry milk, and chips, and loaves of Brug bread for sale by the loaf and half a loaf. They use Brug bakery bread for their sandwiches.Seems like a great addition to the Downtown Honolulu lunch scene. Customer service was good. I'll be back to try the Avocado Egg Edamame sandwich and maybe muster up enough curiosity to try a fruit sandwich. All of them look and sound great to me, just not in between sandwich bread. I'm hoping the next time I stop in, I can give the Banana Nutella, Strawberry Nutella, and Mixed Fruits a try.

came across them today, plan to take more pictures soon. i believe this is the same one that is located at lanai food court in ala moana center, which i have yet to try. this location offers chilled bottled/can drinks, a small variety of sando (ichigo with whipped cream, katsu, egg salad, there are more though i fail to remember what they were), they also have half loaves of their bread made by brug, especially for mana sandwiches, strawberry daifuku, and homemade croquettes which were sold out at the time i was there. the bread today was very soft, and the fillings were perfect for me =) will be visiting soon, and hope they stick around for a while as it's always nice to have options when in downtown ^*^ remember to bring your reusable tote as well.

When i was standing in line waiting for me to be served i saw a cockroach crawling on the sandwiches. The employees there didn't seem to care and let it crawl on the food. They were also very hostile towards me and seemed like they don't want to be there. There's better places to get authentic Japanese sandwiches in Hawaii, a disappointment if i say so myself.I got the Tonkatsu sandwich, Teriyaki chicken avocado, and the Japanese sandwich... honestly don't see the hype, and was very very very expensive! please avoid.
