My review is solely on the chilled fresh coconut experience. We were greeted with a sweet smile and welcoming spirit from the second we walked up to this open air hut. The owner asked me to pick out my own coconut out of the cooler that was filled with ice cold water. I obviously went for the largest one and then she asked " do you want more water or more meat in your coconut?" I wanted more coconut water than the pulp "meat" so she suggested that I grab a younger coconut "smaller" one. She explained that the bigger /older The coconut is, the less water it has but the more "meat" it contains. I went ahead and opted for a younger one and this thing was FULL of water. She grabbed a huge machete style knife and went to work on it.. it was a bit scary seeing the danger that these small businesses owners go through in opening these things to please us tourists. She was amazing at it. I do need to note the following. My husband does not like the taste of coconut, because obviously we are used to a certain taste which is what we are taught to believe coconuts taste like... but her loved this one! young fresh coconuts do not taste like anything "mainstream coconut flavor". It is a refreshing soft, delicate flesh which has a soft set jelly type of texture. It is slightly watery and you will taste the coconut water in it, think of Chinese jelly with very little sugar, almost buttery and melty. The water itself is very refreshing with a very little hint of flavor. We both really enjoyed our island fresh coconut experience and highly recommend you buy at least one!

As usual ! Y'all know this is my place ^.^ on Thursday's is a farmers market at Waimea and I rarely get to go to this one even though it's my favorite but it was my friends birthday and they had off so we went ! Got my veggies and fruit, some Kava but than I yelled MEATBALLLSSSS he said oh my goodness and I said WERE GOING. Lol I usually ask for 7 orders but I finish it by the time we get home lol (I live in Honolulu) so I'm going to start asking for 10+ orders cause I want some for the next day . Also if anyone is worried for my weight gain or something I'm 88 pounds still and constantly eat these meatballs. I know I still need to try other menu items but the meatballs are just a huge fav right now but no worries I'll get to it. If it helps the delish savory/intoxicating smells of food , love and garlic illuminates off this truck . It's next to the smoothie place.. just follow your nose people ~

The owner is friendly. Liked her from the moment we met so I come back whenever I'm on that side of the island. Love supporting this place and hope it lasts as the food is really good!! I would mention my favorite dishes but then it may be sold out so I'll let you discover that yourself.Just know that everything that I have tried is very flavorful

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I asked Maly, who was very nice and caring, what she recommended for unique signature Laotian flavor and she told me the Khao Poon (which is to Laos what pho is to Vietnam). WOW!! This soup was incredible!! Packed with flavor. Ecstasy in every spoonful. The pork, noodles, and vegetables perfectly complemented.Maly and her husband just moved to North Shore 6 months ago, so please support this wonderful little establishment.

Very good and authentic. A must try when visiting Oahu. Love the Kao soi and the Laos Khaopoon.

Delicious! So excited to have Vietnamese and Laotian on this side of the island. Reasonably priced and the coffee is strong and delicious. Definitely will be back! :)

Got the grill pork bowl, pho and kapoon. The food were delicious and the owners were so friendly and nice. Will definitely come back again!

One of the best chicken Banh Mi I have ever had. Perfect ratios of meat, sauce, and vegetables! The bread and all ingredients were delicious and fresh.Best meal we had on the north shore/windward side.
