Māla Market

On our way to Lanikai Beach, we stopped by to get brunch. They have wraps and sandwiches. We got the shrimp wrap with a salad. It was big enough to share between two. They gave us a pink dressing (I think it was strawberry flavor) and a lime ranch. They pair well with both wrap and salad. We also order a plantation sweet tea and it's a MUST try.! Everything was delicious.!There are tables along the parking lot to sit and enjoy your meal. They are shaded, which is a plus in my book. Even though the streets are busy, it was not noisy. Very tranquil place.

I love their sandwiches here, the bread is tasty! I usually order the kids size ham and cheese since I'm not a big eater, and usually settle for chips. The sandwiches does come with your choice of chips or salad.The service is great and there is usually a few tables around to have your meal.

A little takeout window for fresh, healthy sandwiches. This is a veggie sandwich with a protein option - you're here for the bright, crispy veggies. Each sammy comes with chips or a side salad with a delightful dressing. I went with turkey and avo, but my partner in crime loves the tuna and the shrimp salad. A solid takeout lunch spot perfect for a picnic at the beach. Def something you can make at home, but if you're not willing to, a great option.

Fresh and fulfilling sandwich. I love how they stuff the veggies and that side pickle is a must.

Māla Market is one of those spots where you're like "I can make this at home" but it something about how it's done here just makes it better. This Māla Market location in Kailua is a walk-up window with a few outdoor tables right up front to sit at. The Kailua Shopping Center has plenty of free parking, and even a few 10 minute stalls if you're going to pick up. The service here is really quick, if you were just ordering to-go, you'd definitely be in and out in 10 ish minutes. They specialize in sandwiches with tons of fresh veggies on sprouted bread. And you get a choice of side, either chips or salad. If you get a salad, it's a simple spring mix salad with a creamy cilantro dressing or a pink goddess dressing.The dressings here are so good, and I believe that they make it in-house and you can purchase a bottle of it! My fave is their pink goddess dressing.My go-to is their tuna salad sandwich or the mala delight, which is all veg. I've also had their turkey sandwich and heard great things about their shrimp salad sandwich. Grabbing a sandwich from here and bringing to a nearby beach or hike is such a lovely way to spend the day in Kailua!

The sandwich he tastes... healthy. Not exactly my thing but maybe some else may like it. They do pack the sandwich with lots of veggies and its more like a salad between to pieces of toast than a hearty sandwich. I think that they could also give a bit more for what you pay for. It's not very filling. Although i may not like it that much, i think there is a market for this kind of food, so i hope them the best!

Love love loved it! My kind of sandwich! All of the extras I would've asked for are added as a standard - cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, cabbage, sprouts, tomatoes. Couldn't have asked for more. Parking is easy in the lot. Staff is friendly. It's a walk up spot w/ tables outside to eat. Gotta try it!

Māla Market is a favorite or mine and my moms. I love the chicken salad and she loved the veggie. It's a little pricey but I tell myself that is because it's fresh! The service is amazing. Sandwiches are made quickly. I love not having to wait! They are also consistent in their sandwiches. I also love their Arnold Palmer! Perfect balance!! Great little sandwich shop!

So, the food tasted good/had good presentation, and the customer service was fast with friendly staff. I saw they used Dave's Killer Bread though, which at one point contained canola oil in the ingredients - at least their bagels definitely still do contain canola oil. They were already in the middle of preparing the sandwiches as I saw another person pull out the sandwich bag of bread, but otherwise, I would've asked for something different. There was no choice of bread offered actually. Also, for the kids meals, I wish there was fruit offered or apple sauce -- something cleaner than processed, non-nutritional chips.

The sandwiches and wraps are filled with healthy fresh vegetables. The people are so friendly and the service is super fast! I sometimes eat here a couple of days a week.
