Makua Banana Bread

Finally tried their banana bread! Delicious but I wish it was a little larger in size for the price point ($13) but they do give a 10% off Kamaʻāina discount. Very cute cafe located next to the Volcom store in Haleiwa.

We got our first order today feb2025 Thru the mail from Haleiwa to Makiki Oahu Very fresh and yummy Mochi is our favorite followed by Choc chip We have visitors coming over and will definitely send them over to pick some up Does not dissapoint nom nom nom

Incredible.Hands down the best chocolate chip banana bread I've had in my life. Ive been trying to visit for the past 3 years when I'm on Oahu but something always came up. Im sad that I missed out on this for the past 3 years, but found out they ship to the mainland! The bread is perfectly moist, rich banana flavor and the right amount of sweetness. The cookies are great as well, crumbly and so soft.What makes the bread even more special is the kindness and exceptional customer service. On my last day of the trip, I was on the other side of the island during peak traffic at 345 calling to ask if they had any bread left and that I'd be there really close to closing time. I spoke with the owner and he offered to make sure I get my bread even if it meant I got there past closing. Usually places are like "ok we close at 5pm" and that's it, but he took the time to listen to me and he even texted me after to follow up. Moral of the story, don't be like me! Get this and plan to get there well before closing lolIf you're questioning if the drive is worth it, wherever you are on the island, it is. You can taste the care, love and aloha. I'll be back every year I visit.

my friends and i ran into this cute banana bread shop while walking around north shore - such a gem of a place! we got the banana mochi bread and it was so chewy, gooey and just the right amount of sweet!!! the lady that helped us was also so very sweet and you can tell she truly loves what she does. we're staying in waikiki and planning to go to this spot TWICE because its just that good. highly recommend!parking is hard but thats expected. we parked by hale'iwa beach and just walked 10 mins to matsumoto and this was on the way, right next to the bridge.

This is an amazing establishment! Their banana bread is so delicious. I got the original banana bread and it's very moist and addicting. You just want to keep eating it. It's not too sweet at all either. Highly recommend and shoutout Dora for being so kind and friendly! She was very nice about explaining the different banana breads they offered. I would definitely come back again the next time I'm in Oahu!

Such an amazing experience here at Makua Bread. Came back in time for their restock at 3:30! Dora is an absolute doll and just the sweetest. The bread is delicious and definitely a good souvenir (if you can withhold your self from devouring it all). A very sweet experience and environment to be in. Will be checking their website site for main land shipping on their cute products and bread!

Stumbled upon this makua on our walk to the beach. The merch caught my eye and then got to talking to MJ and learned so much about the bread and bakers. They sell local coffee and water and the bread is delicious! Such a friendly space and an amazing location. Must try spot! Thank you MJ!

Omg! Best banana bread ever! We were on a quest to find some to go with our morning coffee, and this did not disappoint. They have chocolate chip and original, we opted for the OJ and were extremely happy. Generous amount of bread and oh so most. Great and kind service at their cute little shop in Haleiwa. Cant wait to try it again!

The banana bread is fantastic here! I tried the original banana bread and it's very moist and fresh. It's not too sweet or heavy at all. I highly recommend and would come back again! It's a hidden gem for sure!
