This little market has tons of options for prepared foods. A great place to pickup dinner, but parking is tight. It's not a super convenient location for me, but I happened to have to be at the nearby park. It isn't too crowded but there's definitely a good amount of people around. I've been there twice, to the hand roll spot and the burger/sandwich truck (Hungry Jon's). Hungry Jon's is so good! Would definitely return to this market for Hungry Jon's.

Makiki Farmers Market is small with a lot of charm. It's mostly restaurant tents and food trucks with one or two produce vendors. Since the farmers market is pretty small, the service is always friendly. I recently ordered a sushi roll from one of the vendors, and when my food was ready, he came looking for me to deliver rather than me having to go back to see if my order was done. Some of the offerings at Makiki Farmers Market include: Thai, baked goods, sushi, pies, produce, desserts, stuffed breads, and Mexican. The farmers market is open Thursday afternoons/evenings in the parking lot of St Clement's Episcopal Church. Very limited street parking. Some cars park in the lot at nearby Makiki Park, which is open to the public.

Three and a half. Although it's a farmer's market, there seem to be all prepared foods and one stand that sells fresh fruits and vegetables that I was looking for. Great selection of fruit and vegetables and seems a little bit cheaper than ward market on Saturday!! Wish there were more fresh veggies stands but I get it. It's also nice to see the different selection of foods. Saw Mexican, Thai, Japanese, drinks, and a couple more. For people who live nearby, this market is always busy so it's good to have food ready for you when you're done with work and don't want to cook. I noticed the makiki firemen going to the market, so that's great! Locals supporting locals is always a definitely plus in my books. Hope to see more vendors and a change up of selections too.

So appreciate this little market in the neighborhood! They have two different produce areas that have great fresh basil, cilantro, avacados, peeled garlic, green onions, papaya, etc at low prices! They have several different trucks & pop up tent restaurants set up ... Olay's Thai, Sweet Revenge, a pasta place, local food place, a sushi place, and a few more ... not sure if the selections change but we've gone twice and they seemed to be the same vendors ! So far we've tried the Sweet Revenge, the Thai place and the Local plate lunch place - all were good & we will definitely be back for the fresh produce !Right now they are here every Thursday at 4:30pm !!!You have to find neighborhood parking around and walk a bit but that's part of the fun !See you there

Since I live nearby, this farmer's market is very convenient after work.PARKING -- Right at 5:30pm, street parking is legal next to Makiki District Park (on Wilder heading towards Diamond Head). Or you may search for parking around the area on Makiki Street.FOOD -- Olay's is usually my first stop. I enjoy getting their Thai Iced Tea, Panang Curry, Spring Rolls, & Vegetable Pad Thai. All these items are must try's! Another one of the shops, I think is called Aloha Bakehouse. I absolutely love their sweet & sour spare-ribs. The meat always falls right off of the bone. Their homemade dressing is also delicious with the greens.

This has become sort of a regular Thursday night outing for us if we both happen to be home. It is quaint, comforting and it just feels so happy happy to be around friendly people, locals and not so local.Olay's Thai I'm not fond of but they get a line going all the time where ever I see them. I like the Hawaiian food place where the food is cooked just right. The pork chop gravy is the bomb for me. Chops are thicker than what you get at most plate lunch joints. I do grab what veges I can here to help save a little on my spending. One of the highlights of the trip now is Pami's Dessert. We tried the Lilikoi Mango cake. Very pretty to look at with it's vibrant yellow color and white frosting. Not too sweet. Love at first bite. I'll be watching for this one at other food events. I'm sold. Definitely a 5 star.I'm not pleased with all the vendors here but that's their business. What allows me to give the 5 stars is the feel, the ambiance of the place and sense of community making it truly a farmer's market.

Visited and walked around a bit but the food variety wasn't quite what other reviewers said, perhaps bc it was raining so less vendors came out? They're only there Thursdays from 4:30-7pm and parking is at the adjacent park or walking from home. When we arrived there were 2 fresh fruit and veg stands, nothing too unique at them and no herbs seen or samples out. Vendor types included crepes, empanadas, pies/quiche, Thai, seafood pasta, traditional Hawaiian lunch plates, and burgers. Sad to see dessert selection was very limited and again no vendor samples out (I suppose I could have asked but didn't think to at the time). Vibe was nice, no live music as others have mentioned, but lots of tables and chairs to sit and eat and lots of trees for shade or rain protection. Lines weren't too long and wait times seemed not to bad.I tried a sweet crepe. At $8 it was rather pricy for how simple it was but was decent enough. Would return to try more if that taco place were here next time.
