Best farmers market- Me and my family love going here every weekend to get vegetables and fruits. But I'd say the things to eat here are great to such as the Thai Curry and the Filipino food. It's a very small farmers market but you'll end up meeting a lot of family and friends walking around often enough. Also you can use EBT at this Farmers market for fresh produce and goods.I recommend this place for anyone that enjoys a community vibe and wholesome and delicious food.

Being from Waianae, I can honestly proclaim that our community traditionally gets the short end of the stick most times. Our farmers market is really no exception... It is generally sufficient, but the vendor quality leans more towards non-produce items than what a typical market of locally farmed offerings would be. I don't want to go to the farmers market for a pair of earrings... I want to go to get cheaper and locally grown produce than I can find at the grocery store. I don't need to buy food truck items, and I'm not interested in T-shirts: I just want fresh and local veggies! I want to interact with my local community farmers! Over the years that this market has been operating, they have had a local dairy with wonderful cheese and butter products that has disappeared since Covid. We occasionally get a vendor that sells local meats, but their appearance is unpredictable and unreliable at this market. We do not get any bakers like town markets have, nor do we have people who sell much in the way of produce grown in the community, with the exception of MAO farms. We used to have Kahumana farms, but another loss to Covid - have not seen them since. Mainly, the fruit and vegetable vendors sell things I could get at Safeway or in Chinatown, with comparable pricing. The shining star is MAO, but often it feels like the good produce is sent to town markets as well... such as the beets and carrots. I really wish our local market would step it up and bring in more vendors like the town markets are able to procure. Less food trucks, less "value added items" and less junk. JUST PRODUCE AND FOOD! Also, lately I have seen big van loads of tourists stopping at our market which seems very strange to me. A local farmers market is not necessarily a tourist attraction, per se. While I do appreciate their dropping money in the community, it makes parking and item availability for locals much more difficult.

Every Saturday morning. Back parking lot of Waianae Mall. We always support local so we go for the fresh produce from farmers right up the road. Da Bolohead Guy (For real name of this guys truck) sells the best dried aku, dried ahi, Smoked Tako, Dried Akule and Opelu, and other stuffs too. We like the Pizza guys. Yup, 2 guys making fresh pizza while u wait. Get food booths with all kine foods to eat. Ma'o farms. Plants from local ohana. My wife likes the jewelry makers there. And if you lucky, get live entertainment. Parking got plenty. Be prepared to leave with way more than you thought you was gonna get.

Makeke Waianae is located in the parking lot by Starbucks near Waianae mall. They are open on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm. Vendors vary but you can always find amazing vegetables and fruits! Sometimes there is a couple there that sells local honey. That's one of my favorite honeys to eat! Mao farms is another favorite vendor with their local organic produce. There's also usually poi, Thai food, Lao food, Filipino food, bbq sticks, açaí bowls etc.

This is a nice farmers market with about half a dozen actual farm stands, a few prepared food vendors, and a few arts and crafts purveyors. We were able to find local fruits that I could not find elsewhere.

I love this farmers market here in the heart of Waianae. One because I work on Saturdays and it right in the strip mall where our office is! There is an assortment of vendors and a great vegetable selection. Naked Cow Dairy, Acai and Pitaya bowls, deserts, BBQ. Pasteles, clothing and plants. One of my favorites Kamoa's Kitchen! I cannot put into words the deliciousness that comes from this Hawaiian food truck! See my pictures and follow them on IG!

Makeke Waianae, a small farmers market, opens every Saturday morning at the Waianae Mall Shopping Center. They can be found in the parking lot in the back of Pizza Hut.The few times that I showed up at the farmers market was to purchase a small bunch of apple bananas for my grandfather. Couple times I even purchase other edible items like the hot sugar coated malasada from the malasada vendor or two beef lumpia from the Filipino food vendor.Walking around the farmers market I noticed other produce items like mangoes, cabbage, and squash sold by different vendors. The Naked Cow vendor has a table with flavored butters. There's an Avon representative selling makeups. There's one vendor that sell kulolo, haulolo, and paiai. Another vendor sold crafts. I noticed one Waianae resident playing an instrument and singing in Hawaiian. If only I attended the Makeke Waianae in the previous years I would have had the chance of eating Nani Kore's bacon wrapped mochi. Sadly that vendor is no longer participating in the Makeke Waianae on Saturdays. When I do have a Saturday off from work I'll make sure to stop by and support the local farmers market in Waianae. Got to make sure my grandfather has his apple bananas.42/100

Good stuff - but warning don't order from the vendors where they have to prepare stuff - 20 min for a slushy at the slushy/smoothie stand. There was only one high school aged guy making the drinks here so if you're willing to wait and walk around and come back, do that! The solo food truck on site had a long line of people who were waiting for their orders the entire time we were at this Farmers Market. We opted for coffees at Starbucks behind the stands instead. DO buy the butter mochi cakes from Padi Cakes stand! You can try the samples before you buy and you will want to buy once you try!! I couldn't decide which one I liked best so I bought 3! You can bring them on the plane and they make good gifts for your Gluten-Free friends!Come early as they sell out of everything the closer it gets to noon on Saturday. Don't forget that fresh hurricane popcorn at the first stand - so good!!

Great lil local market with farmers and craftspeople from all over. Get your taro malasadas on or grab some local fruit and veg, from Dole and Maui Gold pineapples, local papayas, to jewelry and other small gifty things. Our fav was the Paradise Kettle Corn. Amazingly delicious! They have their own Yelp page: https://www.yelp.com/biz/paradise-kettle-corn-pearl-cityThey offer deliciously seasoned sweet and salty "hurricane popcorn" with mochi crackers, furikake, and a crisp popcorn sweetened with sugar. They also have rainbow popcorn in large packs. Very reasonably priced, $5 a bag or 3 for $12 for the hurricane variety. Or $5 for a large rainbow bag or plain kettle. Amazing!

A small but surprisingly good farmer's market. The produce is fresh and delicious and there were enough food vendors to satisfy most tastes IMHO. A leisurely stroll through resulted in some wonderful meals in our "Oahu for a week" home and a great lunch at one of the picnic tables provided. We met some friendly locals and as a result we visited some places we wouldn't have known about otherwise.
